Four Seasons Hotel Sydney stands out for its enviable location, beloved by many for its proximity to Circular Quay and The Rocks, with luxurious rooms that boast harbor views. While opinions on value and atmosphere are mixed, with some citing overpriced services and dated areas, the hotel's cleanliness and top-notch service consistently earn high marks. If you’re visiting Sydney you must stay at the Four Seasons for the opera house and bridge view. My first visit was thirty-two years ago when it was know as the Regent. My family and I enjoy the view and walking to the quay, the location is perfect.

The rooms are very clean and the bathrooms are small, particularly the showers. The housekeeping staff are attentive, however they arrive at your door too early in the morning. The indicator to request service is useless, they wake you regardless.

The fruit basket when we arrived to our room was a nice surprise. My daughter was welcomed with a birthday greeting when checking in and a slice of chocolate cake was in her room.

Sean the bell boy was very attentive, he made us all feel welcome while assisting us to our three rooms.

Highly recommended.

We recently spent 6 nights here during our 3 week holiday in Australia and in this hotel we found as close to perfection as is possible.
I read that many reviews mention the location and they're not wrong,Central Quay is one crossing away,The Rocks for bars and restaurants is a few minutes walk and the Opera House and Sydney Bridge only slightly longer.
When we booked our room many months before we requested a room with a view, and boy did we get it,from lying on my pillow in bed i could see both the Opera House and the bridge and out across the harbour, spectacular!!,and our room was only on the tenth floor.
Our room itself was exceptional and had more than ample storage,a very well stocked mini-bar an excellent spacious bathroom with both a separate bath and shower cubicle as well as many extras provided if required. The bed was huge and very comfortable with amazingly comfortable pillows that allowed for a perfect nights sleep.
We did use the restaurant on our first night due to our late arrival and found it very good, although a tad pricey and minimal on portions.
The bar on the ground floor seemed very popular whenever we called in and it's easy to see why,it has a nice laid back feeling with a nice touch of class and the prices are very reasonable considering the location.
We never took breakfast during our stay as there were so many Cafes nearby that offered this and at a very fair price.
The staff in the hotel really were first class at all times and were excellent in assisting us with excursions out as well as train journeys and taxis, nothing was ever too much trouble to them.
So many thanks to all at Four Seasons, you have an incredible hotel with staff to match and you made our stay one that we will always remember very fondly.

We chose to stay at Four Seasons for our essential trip in the midst of COVID-19 in the hopes that a fancier hotel would have superior levels of safety and cleanliness. These expectations were surpassed. Staff were extremely welcoming and helpful upon arrival despite the pandemic. All common areas and the room were impeccably clean (observed regular cleaning and noted twice daily housekeeping). Guests have their temperature taken on check-in and once daily to ensure safety. We enjoyed a lovely room service dinner in our room. The bed was very comfortable. Block out blinds in the room, quiet air conditioning, and sound proofing combined to ensure a great night’s sleep. We received an upgrade despite a great rate due to the state restrictions. Ordinarily we’d not be able to afford the hotel, however our very pleasant stay may make us reconsider in future- the cost may be worth the significantly extra comfort. Thank you

Having flown to Sydney for a business meeting with no luggage and no intention of staying... after two cancelled flights out of Sydney my husband and I were feeling rather defeated. Rather than risk an airline allocated hotel we booked into a familiar brand. Upon arrival the consistency across the brand is apparent, our first room unfortunately sounded like a runway due to the wind against the building, we were effortlessly able to shift to a leeward room. The room was uncluttered but well appointed with the necessities; dental kits were thoughtfully sent up within moments of our arrival.

Thank you to the wonderful staff for helping us find the silver lining in an otherwise thunderous debacle.

Just had the privilege of spending 2 nights at this fabulous Hotel in Sydney. I loved every aspect of my stay from the warm greeting to the farewell. Check out was at noon which was a bonus and every staff member I interacted with was professional and personable.
My room was a deluxe city view, well appointed with a window seat, king size bed and desk. The bed was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on in a Hotel and the pillows were perfect. Christian Lacroix bathroom amenities - very nice thank you and a large shower cap. Plentiful mini bar if you wanted to avail yourself and Nespresso coffee pods.
The room although overlooking the street was sound proofed - I heard no noise during my stay. Great location to explore the Rocks precinct and Circular Quay - only a short walk into the heart of the city and plenty of shops close by if you want to pick up some milk or other grocery items.
This is going to be my go to Hotel for Sydney in the future

The hotel itself far exceeded our expectations. From our first encounter with the doorman, all the staff were very courteous, polite and attentive.

The incredible Full Harbour KIng Room was beautifully appointed and very clean with exceptionally stunning views of the Opera House and the Harbour Bridge.

The pillows were amazing, and the bed was super comfortable. The shower had great pulsating jets and the built-in seat was convenient for the luxury shower items (Christian Lacroix) and a glass of champagne!! The bath was deep and sumptuous – very relaxing.

Room service was prompt and the food was delicious. I highly recommend the Margherita pizza and waffle fries with avocado, bacon and cheese toppings…simply yummy. High-tea cakes and the Louis Roederer champagne were incredible.

Great location, convenient for the Rocks and Circular Quay.

A great place to celebrate my husband’s birthday. We will definitely be returning to the Four Seasons – I cannot recommend it highly enough.

We have had a lovely stay at Four Seasons, did ask at desk for room with view but room we had booked had city views and what we could afford. Would have been amazing upgrade as our honeymoon. Saying that our room has been extremely comfortable with double aspect view but we do have to keep blinds down while we are in is overlooked room 1404. Cleaning staff have been accommodating leaving extra coffee & free almonds. Very central location.

Stayed here for the third time and really enjoyed it overall. The location is excellent with only a short walk to the Rocks and Circular Quay, which was important as I was with my 80 year old parents. The buffet breakfast is also exceptional and set us up well every day for a full day’s sightseeing. The rooms (we had a floor 30 bay view upgrade) were excellent. My only problem was the room key - every day of my five days my key had to be changed as it stopped working. Although the staff were helpful and apologetic, it did become very annoying and I am unclear why it couldn’t be fixed.

We have always wanted to stay here, unfortunately what we thought it should be like was a understatement, totally disappointing. We got a great price online 1 bedroom with Club Level. After payment in full we received a email stating Club Level would only consist of breakfasts in the restaurant 'Mode' due to Covid 19. Upon arrival we were told we only had breakfast voucher for $95 total. Club level usually includes, snacks, supper, drinks, and breakfast. So we ordered room service and it was average, no usual table toppers or glassware you expect from a 5 star hotel. The dessert was great, bread rolls like rocks and a $48 steak that looked like a minute steak from Coles. The beds were super soft and linen of a high standard. The wood work in the room was very OLD, there was also lifted wall paper in the corridors. Strange that all the wall outlets, power point etc. did not match and varied in age, this added to the age of the room. We had a early morning appointment (leaving hotel at 6.15am), too early for breakfast for the restaurant to open, so we asked could the $95 breakfast voucher be added to our account due to room service? The answer was NO. This hotel desperately needs an entire makeover to match its competitors.

This hotel does not seem to have enough bling for my taste! The entrance area only has two large sofas for clients to sit while waiting for something. It is clear that the hotel’s management made the decision to dispense with tables and chairs for guests to sit at while they wait for a taxi, a friend etc. The bell hop was exceedingly rule to my wife stating that he could not understand her English. Such boorish behaviour at an international hotel that receives guests from all over the world should not be allowed.
A further surprise awaited me at the check in desk. As we were meeting a friend in the evening, I asked the check-in person to reserve table at the hotel’s ‘skydeck’ bar on floor 28. I was told that I was not allowed to use the 28th floor bar as this was reserved for people staying in suites. The check in person did mention that for an entrance fee of A$40 per person we would be allowed into the bar but then on top of he entrance fee we would have to pay for any drinks or food that we consumed. The reception person did ring somebody to check on the fees and it turned out that she had made a mistake and that the entrance fee was A$80 per person but this included all drinks and food consumed. This was still too expensive for my pocket as all we wanted was a drink at the bar as we were having dinner outside of the hotel.
Later that afternoon, I met Chantal, Director of Rooms, by pure chance in the first floor corridor and explained what had happened. Chantal sympathised with my complaints and to make amends sent a bottle of champagne in an ice bucket to our room, which was certainly appreciated.
Our room was relatively small, but fine, toiletries were no big deal as in most places in Australia. The room did come with robes and slippers, which I like and the view of a convenience shop, a highway and some steps that I later found out led to the start of the Harbour Bridge walk was not what I expected for a city view.

The breakfast at the hotel is full on, with a great variety of breads, pastries, hot food, smoked salmon, cereals, dried nuts, and yogurt. The staff is very pleasant and helpful. At the weekends they serve mangoes, which was great for me as I love the fruit.
The hotel is well situated, especially for the Circular Quay and the Opera House as well as the iconic coat hangar Harbour Bridge.

You should check with the hotel. We found them to be incredibly accommodating to the point of giving us a room to use when we checked in before our actual room was available. We've NEVER had that happen before.

The room we were in did not have a sofa bed. I do think some of the king rooms do have sofa beds. Check with the hotel to confirm.

Yes they have USB plugs next to beds as fir international power sockets not from my memory, but I think I did see an adapter in a draw for you to use. Best I let the Hotel confirm that part for you.
