Detailed Reviews
This hotel has a great location, only a 2 minute walk to Central Station which allows you to catch a quick train to and from the airport.
The hotel is clean and comfortable, photos on the website are realistic so that you come with the right expectations.
Room service was delivered quickly, was well priced and tasted good. Breakfast was included in the rate I booked and was surprisingly quite nice, it exceeded my expectations.
The only reason I didn’t give the hotel a 5 star review is because the “free WiFi” and premium WiFi was diabolical. It was the slowest speed I have experienced in Australia in the last 10 years. I couldn’t video chat, could upload, basically couldn’t work. Which was the primary purpose of my visit.

Rendezvous Hotel has a great location across from the main train station. You can get a train to most everywhere in Australia plus the airport. There's bus service across the street to many locations and also a bus stop for both routes of Big Bus Sydney for your tours right next to the train station. There's so many restaurants nearby you could go to a different one every day for a week. The staff is friendly and very helpful our room was spotless and well appointed.

It is a good location and the rooms are clean and the breakfast is lovely as are the staff as per the other reviews. The rooftop pool is actually across the road at the Adina hotel. There is no security in the lifts which means anyone can walk in off the street and access all the hotel floors with direct access to the rooms. When arriving back in the evenings there is often no one at the front desk meaning anyone can wander in unchecked up to the rooms. I felt very unsafe given some of the street characters wandering the local area.
Even if there was someone sitting there they would not know if you were a guest as they do not check your id. I stayed here with my child and would not stay again given the lack of security and safety in the building hence only the 3 stars.

The hotel was conveniently located just across Central station, and had lots of food and shops nearby.
We did have a disappointing experience with the hotel staff. Firstly, the room door was ajar when we checked in. Secondly, we were not able to lock the door from the inside. We informed the hotel staff but the staff did not seem to be able to understand how this might be a potential security flaw especially for the occupants of the room. (FYI the lifts did not require a card to access guest room floors).
Upon informing the hotel staff, the staff did not offer to change rooms for us or even offer any reassurance, but simply brushed it off instead. We truly hope that in future, the hotel would place more importance on the safety of guests.
The room was basic but needed some updating and more focus on the smaller details - corners were dusty, carpet was torn and had stains, water kettle was rusty. I guess for the price we couldn’t expect much either.

I don't understand why there are so many negative reviews for the Central Studio, I stayed one night when I checked in the staff were really helpful and very polite, my room on the 9th floor was spotless with a huge bed crisp white sheets a lovely bathroom with toiletries. I had a huge tv mini fridge hairdryer, safe, tea and coffee making facilities. I like the whisper quiet air conditioner which I could control. Location is perfect for central station and chinatown/Paddys market. Next time I stay I will definitely bring my wife as she will love it

Located a long way from Circular Quay but that is because it is close to Central Station and there are many ways to get to CQ. The room was clean and comfortable. You allegedly only receive WiFi for 12 hours but ours worked 24 hours a day. For our 2 night stay I have no complaint.

I walked in off the street desperate for somewhere to stay during the day with my family before our overnight train that night. I fell in love with Joseph (I hope I haven't misremembered his name, but I remembered that I share the same name as his mother) at the front desk on the spot. He was so helpful advising me of the best way to book a room on the spot to fit our very specific needs. He made sure that we had enough towels and that our frazzled selves could settle in for some peace and quiet. Seriously I can't thank him enough.
In terms of location it really can't be beaten. It's across the road from Sydney's Central station and if you walk down the street your will find many different food options and there's a supermarket nearby too.

This is the second time I stayed here because it is so convenient to the train station. The rooms are spacious, the staff is friendly, and the cafe is good. Easy access to anyplace you want to go in Sydney — walking, Uber, taxis, buses. Both times I also enjoyed a cityscape view that is uplifting and interesting. Writing this review, I remember that the "king bed" was actually two twin beds pushed together, which was weird and meant I pretty much slept on one side. But still comfy beds and plenty of pillows.

Hi Karen,
Thank you for your enquiry.
Unfortunately our roof pool is currently closed. However our guests can use the pool at our sister property, the Adina Apartments, which is directly across the road from us. Guests need to see reception with their room key to access it.
Please do not hesitate to contact us if we can be of any further assistance.
Kind Regards,
Anne Kerr

We are not too sure about the laundry facilities. The Central Railway Station is across the road.
Not in the room I stayed in, but there are PLENTY of coffee places nearby.
