Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We stayed 1 night at crown Towers and enjoyed the experience. Arrived early and the room wasn't ready, which was understandable. We were met by a lovely woman who was 30wks pregnant at the time. She greeted us with a smile and made sure we would be checked in as early as possible. Unfortunately I can't remember her name now. Upon returning to collect the keys, the lobby was full of people waiting to check in. Luckily we were greeted by Adam who was obviously part of the front of house crew, who popped out the back and got our room keys sorted. He was extremely friendly and you could tell he loved his job. We got up to the 25th floor and our room was fantastic. It seemed like we got an upgrade to a Opera house view. For dinner we booked a table at the buffet. Staff walked us to our table and our first impressions were a bit funny. Staff were rushing around frantically and would basically walk straight through you. I understand they're busy and trying to keep the tables clear and food stocked, but they're also being paid to be there. The staff should make more of an effort to move around customers. As for the food, one of the better buffet we have been to. Even the carvery was nice, not dry or tough. Desert station is immense with lots of choice. Breakfast was equally impressive. The buffet was very busy. As a guest, you could tell it was full of non-guests. We were lucky to have booked. Checkout the following morning was far from good.... the female who served us was cold and wouldn't even make eye contact. Overall we were happy with our stay.

Hotel's Favourite
Incredible! This hotel stands out as the most magnificent I've ever experienced. Since our initial visit, we've returned to the Crown four more times, making it a family tradition. The buffet surpasses any we've encountered, offering unparalleled food quality. The service is consistently exceptional, and the valet parking ensures a seamless experience. Each stay at the Crown makes us feel like absolute royalty. The only drawback is the occasional necessity to stay in other hotels lacking the luxury service and amenities that the Crown provides. The cocktails are nothing short of sublime, and the pool, rain or shine, is absolutely stunning. The breathtaking views further elevate the experience, and the beds and linen are the epitome of comfort, offering the most amazing sleep I've ever had. Without a doubt, we will continue to return to this exceptional hotel again and again. The Crown has set a standard that makes it challenging to enjoy accommodations elsewhere.

There are some very mixed reviews about this hotel - well we couldn’t fault it in any way. From the friendly welcome to the jaw dropping views from our 23rd floor Opera Studio Room, to the location, the restaurants, to great room service. We loved EVERYTHING about the Crown Towers Sydney on our 4 night stay. The room was really lovely. A decent size, with a mega-comfy bed, useful table for a bit of work which needed doing (with that view, right?!). Big TV to keep up with rubbish local news (Taylor Swift ad-nauseum). The storage was just about ok for us as we were on a long trip and had a lot of stuff, but as usual, no-where for luggage. Bathroom was dreamy. A massive egg bath which my wife loves. Marvellous shower - simply push the button for on! One of those Japanese loos which supposedly sprays your bum clean but the controls were so complicated (and no instructions) that we only got it to work once! Room service was incredible. The attention to detail every day was astonishing and whoever it was (never saw them) well deserved their daily tip. Didn’t really see much else of the hotel. Never saw the casino. Good dinner at the Woodcut steak restaurant, a nice half day by the pool (lovely double sofa lounger in the pool), and a great bar called Cirq on level 26 for a farewell drink. About $1000 a night. I thought it was a decent price for the experience and would/will definitely go back another day. But that view…..sigh

Beautiful hotel, good location, poor service. Room was not serviced at all two days in a row so no towels or wash cloths. Didn’t care the beds were not made. Ordered room service and food plates (no tray given) was not picked up for hours. Breakfast for two in the room paid for but we paid $65 for the third person. Didn’t eat breakfast at the hotel the last day but the couldn’t credit the extra person payment to the last day. Found it funny that breakfast is $65 but you get the table for one hour on the weekend and if you want a second coffee be aware they will charge you. Some breakfast food was great, some was cold. Expensive hotel, expected better, will stay somewhere else next time.

Stayed in hotels all over the world. This is a poor example of a 5 star hotel. Checkin was cold, unwelcoming. The room was nice however called housekeeping to assist with changing bed due to stain - never arrived. Called to request late checkout, the guest services said front desk needed to call back. It was late at night and I stayed awake for 25 mins, nil call back. Breakfast was good however line to get in was 20 people deep. Went to the gym and at $1000 per night was looking forward to a sauna. $150 to use the sauna. Comical. I have been overcharged $160 on the credit card. I emailed front desk / enquiries. Still not response. Also no turn down service. Surprising in the category. Long way to go to create a worthwhile destination. Suggest Langham, Park Hyatt, Capella etc

This was our second stay at Crown Sydney and for the second time we left very disappointed. It’s just problem and problem at this place. Completely messed up our laundry service. Long line at buffet. Food at pool takes forever. Asking housekeeping to bring up something simple takes forever. They offer a late check out and next day renege on this and say they can’t. Dropping your car off at valet is an ordeal and staff don’t know what they’re doing and have been trained. We definitely won’t be staying here again and would highly recommend against anyone staying here until they can once and for all improve their level of service. Absolute incompetence. Four seasons is much better and the location is far better also. Please avoid this place at all costs, it’s just not worth it.

I cannot believe the incompetence at a hotel of this supposed quality. People at reception were nasty and unwilling to help At 2:00 our room was still not made up for the day and the outlets were defective so we could not charge devices. With a sumptuous buffet for breakfast where you can eat as much as possible they charge for a second cup of coffee. I am just astounded

Crown Towers is well worth it's 5 star rating. Beautifully turned out Hotel with all the amenities you require. All staff were friendly, polite , helpful & very professional all adding to the experience. We had lunch in The Waiting room and were looked after by Leah . She looked after us a treat & got our stay off to a great start. TWR has a lovely ambiance & a good selection of food & drink which , given the class of the Hotel, were at good prices. Had a nice evening meal in Amore but no more than that. Room on the 21st floor was unbelievable. Top top quality with amazing views of the harbour, Bridge & Opera House. Breakfast superb & set you up for the day. Would highly recommend a stay here , it will leave you with some great lifetime memories.

Wow..we recently spent three nights here in a Premier room. The small touches were amazing…all the little extras in the bathroom..bath salts, tooth brushes, combs, vanity sets that contained make up remover kit and a hair band!!. The toilet even opened as you entered! Room service had such a lot of choice. The room was massive. The bath tub was excellent and the views were outstanding. Service was excellent,,we did not have any issues and everything was always no trouble. The breakfast bar was amazing…the best I have ever experienced. The bed was so comfortable. Loved the pool and spa. Excellent location….you just have to do it!!
