The Vibe Hotel Sydney Darling Harbour receives accolades for its friendly and efficient service, although a few guests have noted inconsistencies. Nestled in a prime central location, the hotel is a stone's throw from attractions and dining options, despite some access challenges. Guests are charmed by the stylish and modern atmosphere, enjoying well-equipped rooms and amenities like USB ports, despite remarks about room sizes and the modest pool area. While cleanliness is typically satisfactory, opinions on value for money vary among travelers.

Loved this hotel. Great location, walking distance to the city and Darling Harbour. The pool wasn't as big as I'd hoped but it was still nice to lay by the pool and watch the sunset over the city. The roof top bar had the best cocktails and I enjoyed the ala carte breakfast which was offered at the hotel Cafe for a very reasonable rate. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The reception staff friendly but the bar staff weren't so much. An enjoyable stay.

After 40 years or so of living out of a suitcase in everything from a Maharajah’s palace to a rat hole in Paris it takes a bit to surprise me when it comes to hotel rooms. My last overseas stay was in the Hilton Doubletree Hotel London Docklands - the bedside lights were lousy, no power plugs be the bed, the aircon didn’t work along with the safe – there was a dangerous stepdown to the bathroom, there were no ramps anywhere – you had to drag your bag up steps. I could go on. In contrast, the new Vibe Hotel Sydney Darling Harbour gets 10/10 for design, comfort and value. We needed a night in Sydney before a cruise - nothing expensive but comfortable and the Vibe stood out. The entrance, near Chinatown if you know Sydney, is unpretentious, the front desk staff charming and happily we had been upgraded to a suite. There are plenty of fast lifts that require the security of your key and we were quickly in our room. Good old fashioned switches operate the excellent room lighting. Tastefully furnished the suite it was smaller than I expected and the view hardly memorable but we were quickly impressed with what the designer had achieved. As well as a full size king bed we had a lounge with a second good sized TV which could be divided from the bedroom. Goodies included an iron and board, stocked mini fridge, a selection of glasses, coffee machine and yes – there was a small carton of milk in the fridge. The safe was easy to use and big enough to take my Macbook Air. The bathroom is very inventive. As regular readers will know I hate the shower/bath combo – it is bloody dangerous and more often than not you get a burst of cold water when you turn on the taps. Our bathroom had a walk-in shower and a bath as well in the back – so you can enjoy the best of both worlds. The shower control was at the entrance – so no chance of a freezing welcome. Towels were nice and thick and there was room for two – the double basin was well lit and the exhaust fan quiet for a change. The desk was small but adequate with a separate light, comfy chair plus 2x USB plugs as well as 2 power points. The bedside lights were bright and adjustable and there was power and USB plus on both sides – essential these days with Apple watches and phones or whatever to charge. The hotel boasts a rooftop bar and pool that adds to the attractiveness of this property. We had a couple of round of drinks with friends and really enjoyed the atmosphere. As for food there is a special of a coffee plus egg and bacon roll for $10 – delicious. A scrummy breakfast is cooked to order. We did order room service – I was happy with my curry but Fiona’s chips were on the cold side. All in all though it was a delightful stay and I can see the TFE Hotel group adopting this design for all future mid priced properties.

I stayed with a friend when this place first opened and it was one of the best budget hotels I've stayed in Sydney yet.
The room was small but cosy, the beds were extremely comfortable and the bathroom was very New York style.
They also had an espresso machine in the room with coffee pods.
It also was very quiet, we couldn't hear any noise from the streets throughout the night and early morning.
The staff were extremely friendly.
I can't wait to come back again.
100% recommend.

Vibe Hotel Darling Harbour is a great place to stay. Large, very clean rooms in this new hotel that had origins of an older building.
Bathrooms are modern with curved rain shower with lots of hot water.
Queen size comfortable beds with large screen TVs make for very comfortable stay.
We enjoyed full breakfast in the Barkers dining room that was freshly prepared to order. Service was e x ellent.
The location is 5 minutes walk from all transport at Town Hall stations to Circular Quay (The Rocks, Opera House) and 5 minutes walk to Bus 333 at the War Memorial that takes you directly to Bondi Beach.
It is also about 10 minutes walk to Darling Harbour and lovely eateries there.
China Town is also close by with lovely restaurants.
Very quite location as well. We where on the 9th floor and could hear no noise.
Rooftop pool and bar is a lovely bonus.
Overall great place to stay in Sydney.

Our stay at this hotel was good but in some regards disappointing too. I asked the reception to notify housekeeping if they could please ensure they wipe down the bedsides and other surfaces because I found them quite dusty. I would of thought with the COVID situation that housekeeping would of been much more thorough but in this case it didnt seem that way. When we came back to our room it didnt look our request was followed through and it didnt look any better and also our tissues weren't replaced. Pretty simple things really but not done.

Service is quite slow in the cafe downstairs even when it isn't busy. We ordered two drinks with our vouchers and they took 45 minutes to arrive and then when we were leaving staff tried to charge us for them.

Our king bed was comfortable and we did find the staff friendly. Unfortunately though I couldn't rate this hotel excellent for a few let downs during our stay.

The staff are rude, the bedrooms are tiny. Housekeeping do not replenish the mini bar or replace your dirty cups. Pool area is small with only 4 cabanas and if you don’t get one there is no room for you to stay or even leave your towels whilst you swim and kids aren’t allowed in the bar so if the pool is full you have to leave with kids. Overall it is a waste of money.

The hotel needs to revise when it mentions that it offers a heated pool. I alerted staff twice to the fact that the pool was cold. I choose the hotel based on the reasonable cost and the nice pool area . Was expecting to spend 5 nights in a 'heated ' pool. Unfortunately i couldn't use it as it was a cold pool. Another star was taken off to the fact that the beds are quite uncomfortable. Very soft but if that's how you like it , then you would be happy. The pillows were as another reviewer stated not the best either. One was too hard and the other too soft. I have stayed in quite a number of international and local hotels. I would rate the sleeping experience quite poorly at this such hotel. I was left with a sore back and head which you don't quite expect at a good hotel. I got back into my own bed which felt like the kind of bed I should have gotten at a paid for hotel. I got a standard room, small but I knew that when I booked it. It was an ok size for a couple . Had your iron, safe, TV, coffee machine and fridge to store stuff which is great . Shower was very very good and easy to use which can be a struggle i notice in hotels that can make it complicated to use. I really loved the tiles which weren't slippery and the room decor was really good. The location was good as it was walking distance to many restaurants. Parking, whilst $40 a day in a nearby car park was expected in a city such as Sydney. I didn't bother hunting for cheaper. Staff were pleasant and helpful . The hotel sits fine for a passing person coming through for business that just needs a bed . I would only stay here again if the pool becomes nice and warm and heated as stated on the website otherwise i won't be back .

Stayed for 5 nights and the property is very new. Rooms and fittings were excellent and it was quiet too.

Didn't have a chance to try the bar but it did look really good in the pictures. Housekeeping were very diligent with replacing towels and bath amenities which is great considering this is where some 5 star properties slip in.

Overall a great spot to stay.

Well located close to Darling Harbour cafes and restaurants and central CBD, this hotel has everything you need in one location. Parking across the road and Central railway Station 7 minutes walk. Usually don't dine in, but had limited time before a concert so tried the restaurant down stairs and were pleasantly suprised when everyone was served a beautiful meal, while the roof top bar and pool is fantastic after a big day out shopping. The decor of the hotel, rooms and bar are modern and welcoming, and so are the staff. Well priced, loved it and will be back again.

Check in was amazing and Kathryn was extremely welcoming. We arrived early and our room was already ready! Had a good convo about why we were visiting. Room was a great size, it was clean, stylish and still had that brand new smell about it. Shower was on point, air conditioning great and bed was comfy. Would highly recommend staying as great location to access Darling Harbour, the City or public transport.

Hi, all you need to do is get off the train (from the airport) at the station “Town Hall”. It’s only about a 5 minute walk. The train fare from the airport is about $20 AUD each. All other public transport in Australia is reasonably priced just to and from the airport it is expensive. Enjoy 😊
