I had a dinner tonight with my family after a long flight we were knackered but waitresses (Mish and Richena) were very joyful and helpful. Richena was especially smiley and a joy to talk to and to have as our waitress.
Will be returning many times.

We visited Blue Bay Resort on a cruise excursion. The beach here was very clean and the fish in the water were plentiful.

There were chairs available for guests ( no added charge), an outdoor shower and clean restrooms available. They do not have changing rooms or lockers. A bar on site serves drinks and food. There is also a restaurant and dive shop on site.

We visited on a Saturday and there were quite a few people there but the beach still did not feel overly crowded.

While there I did get about 10 mosquito bites so I recommend bringing bug spray if you are going to be there in the late afternoon/ early evening.

We rented a private Blue Bay villa for a vacation with our teens. The villa was comfortable and beautiful, the deck had a water view and we enjoyed watching the flamingos that lived right in front of our villa while enjoying the warm tropical breeze (we didn't need to turn on the air conditioning once during our visit, the weather was perfect). My husband and daughter golfed along the water and said the golf course was great, really beautiful. We were steps to the restaurant on the beach, the food was wonderful (try the voodoo shrimp, Madras Curry & filet mignon!) and the service was warm and personal and everyone we met was so helpful! The resort is less than 40 minutes from beaches on West and East end, so each morning we would snorkle a new beach (mostly stayed west end), and come back and snorkle at the resort in the afternoon, the water was warm, clear and full of beautifully colored fish and eels. We saw turtles at one of the West end beaches and at one of the beaches we visited during our private boat tour of East side (not sure what the name was, you could only get there by water). I felt safe running at the resort, there were a lot of hills but the breeze was pleasant and the views spectacular. I loved the Mama greeting us as we entered the resort, and all of the gorgeous statues and art sprinkled throughout the resort. The owners provided everything from linens to toilet paper so all we had to bring was our bathing suits, we rented snorkle gear for the week at the dive shop (also steps from our villa). Blue Bay was a really nice resort in perfect location, we will definitely come back soon & often!

We travelled quite a bit through the Caribbean as a family staying in both resort and private home accommodations. The Garden appartment we stayed in recently was poorly equipped. Here are a few suggestions to make it better: have ironing board/iron and a washing machine installed in the unit or provide laundry collection/drop-off (nobody wants to waste half a day of their holidays at the closest laundromat 10km away), include a hairdryer in one of the bathroom. All the rooms were poorly lit, replace broken light bulbs and replace working ones with brighter ones. Living area was furnished with the minimum, a small shelving unit would be useful to drop off key, glasses, phones etc.. It felt bare and incomplete. The location was ok though as long as you have a car. The golf resort is quite large with a combination of provate homes (lots of them) and appartment blocks... which makes the small beach at Blue Bay very crowded indeed at peak times, with sunloungers wall to wall and just enough space to walk in between the rows. Snorkelling and diving off that beach was great though.

We came to Blue Bay Resort for a winter golf vacation, having vacationed in Curacao once before. We booked the 'daily golf included package' and decided to splurge on the luxury accommodations. We're glad we did since the accommodations at The Shore were outstanding. The building and pool were beautiful and never got busy or loud. Our 3rd floor end unit overlooked the beach which was just steps away. The sliding glass wall could be opened for breezy indoor/outdoor living, however, all rooms had separate air-conditioning controls so you could close up and escape the heat, if needed. We were only one couple in the two bedroom unit, but there was an abundance of space even if there had been 4 people staying there. The kitchen was very well equipped, including double ovens and water/crushed ice dispenser. If you plan to cook your own meals you will need to bring everything, including sugar, salt and pepper. We made some meals and also ate out. The restaurants offered a nice variety and the food was good. Take note that there is some ongoing development in the area. The construction noise was hardly noticeable at The Shore or at the beach, however, the dump truck and excavating activity near The Reef (at the 16th hole) was substantial during the week we were there. We only noticed since we were golfing and passing through this area everyday. The golf course is well run and maintained. We booked our 6 morning rounds online a month in advance and were never put into a foursome. We seldom noticed anyone ahead or behind us once we were beyond the first hole or two. It's great to not feel rushed while golfing on vacation! All the staff at Blue Bay resort were courteous and helpful. Special thanks to Sharine and Jean Pierre for helping make our stay as enjoyable and memorable as possible.

My husband and I stopped here for a beach day, and what a great set-up they have! It’s $15 NAF/person if you are a vistor, but it’s worth the price. There were lots of beach chairs available, we didn’t have to fight for one like you do at the typical resorts and we arrived at 1pm, so not early. I’m used to having to put my towel out at 6am to get a chair in Cuba and the Dominican. The staff at the bar were really nice, the beach was beautiful and it was the best snorkeling we have had so far in curaçao! (And yes we did go to Playa Lagun - here was better!) Would definitely recommend spending a beach day here!

This property exceeded my expectations and left me wanting to stay longer. I will be back and this may be my go to property. I stayed at The Shore Beachfront Apt 18- 2 bedrooms with 2 1/2 baths. The view and the balcony are the top sellers of this property. Layout is modern Minimalist with strong and stable wifi, modern amenities and the best beds I have ever experienced. Security is Fort Knox's to come into estate of Blue Bay, then a security gate for The Shore and a key fob needed to access the elevator and beach. I gave it a 4 because of the lack of transparency regarding the water and electrical usage, one adpater at a fee and navigating the resort is confusing. Blue Bay Beach is clean, sandy and Beautiful- snorkeling, paddling boarding and diving are all reasonably priced. It's not Otrabanda, Mambo or Punda but you will have a soft life experience here. Lastly, explore the resort with amazing art work and installations throughout, Flamingos and Golf. The resort is for everyone so bring the family, go solo or couples. Lemongrass and both Bay Restaurants have some delicious foods. The Resort and Beach Staff are very responsive and friendly which made our stay even more exceptional. If you are an active person or family you may want to rent a car to go to the other local beaches and do excursions in Jan Thiel.

Spectacular golf course. Greens are fast and furious or as slow as a snail.
Friendly staff at the reception and bar. Golf cart guys are very helpful. Hole 6 is special.
There is always a strong breeze going through the course that can make it difficult to choose the correct club. Green fees are reasonable. You can stop at the beach resort after 9 holes and enjoy a cocktail. Playing 9 holes after 4pm you get a cheaper deal. Also a bucket of 6 beers at that time is great value.
I will be back in March for a few more rounds.

We booked a short stay at Blue Bay in The Ridge accommodations. From check in to check out we had a lovely stay and resrt staff we are always friendly and cordial.

Our booking came with a beach pass and a friend recommended we should rent a golf cart to get around, this was great!

The apartment was brand new with top notch appliances and the beds were very comfortable. Our very own private infinity pool was the best feature and we spent most of our time lounging and sunning.

I am a scuba diver and the reefs on Blue Bay are some of the best that Curaçao has to offer! The dive shop and staff are very helpful and they were able to provide a dive computer as I left mine at home. (To rent of course)

One small issue was that we did prepare most of our meals in the apartment and there was nothing (soap or sponge) we could use to clean up after ourselves, but our trip to the nearby grocery store remedied that.

I highly recommend you make your next stay in Curacao at The Ridge in Bluebay Resort, we will be back for sure!

Sorry for the late response. We inquired about that - for children it would be okay but not for adults ( although you could likely get away with it if you were discreet about it.

I think you are referring to my review? Anyway, I went for early morning runs down the path around the golf course (where hole 18 is, near the beach). I saw many people do the same (runners, but also walkers, people walking their dogs - even on the greens, that I would not concur with). But during the day (when we where home) that was not the case. One lap is exactly 1 km. Walking on the golf paths is a bit of a grey area. I would mind my surroundings though and there are 'golfers only signs', but I did not fine any rules that prohibited that. Although I did get in a discussion with a US golfer who thought I was suicidal, but so would running on the public roads be. Yes, as I said in my review walking paths are indeed limited. Mostly around residential buildings and/or between Blue Bay Village. But that's 400 meters at best, certainly not 3 miles. You can walk in the verge of the main road, but I would only do that with traffic facing me (as I would do on all the roads). Unfortunately, the speed limits are either non-realistic (50 kph on the main road, but with speed bumps?!) of ignored (30 kph in the residential areas). People drive like crazy (I did notice some speeders slowed when they saw me approaching by foot, looking very awa of the fact that they where driving too fast) and during the day there are lot of builders and big trucks with stuff that can fall uf (you will see for yourself). In general road safety is a thing in the Caribbean (part from Saint-Barthélemy). However, I did not feel unsafe walking. But you need to be alert.
