Detailed Reviews
We stayed here in one of the cabins, had a lovely week. The owners were really friendly and helpful and the cabins were lovely set in their own little private garden area. The cabins were comfortable, good beds and pillows. Only the essentials were provided so I would bring a bath towel as you only get a small one and a lighter/matches for the oven. Also there are no hairdryers.
The surrounding area is stunning with awesome biking routes and the little village of wognum has everything you need. Pub/ supermarkets/bakery. I would recommend the pub for food as it was very good and reasonably priced. Hoorn is only a 25min bike or bus journey away. They provide bike hire at reasonable rates per day and the bikes are very good.
All in all if you like a quiet cycling holiday in the countryside I'd highly recommend wjingaard saalhof as a place to stay.

We highly enjoyed our stay at Saalhof last weekend: we rented two small houses in the back of their vinyard and one room in the B&B. The houses are very tastefully decorated and fully equipped. The beds were very soft, but that's it. We highly enjoyed our stay, had a nice barbeque on the terrace (we brought our bbq ourselves) and good night sleep. The breakfast was not very special: raisins bread, little croissants, brown breat and buns, some cherries, cheese, ham, egg, cofee, tea. There weren't enough croissants or cherries for everybody. Breakfast was 8 EUR, so I think the price/quality was appropriate, but although a little bit more cherries and croissants would have been a plus. I would recommend this to others.
Also: no wifi or very bad connection in the holiday houses.

We stayed in one of the cabins. Clean but very minimal and basic. No towels or tea towels in kitchen and no floor mat in bathroom which made the floor slippery so I would recommend taking these items. Also if going in the summer take mosquito repellent and a fan as it was too hot and muggy some nights and we had lots of bites. The wifi only worked when near to the hotel but not actually in the accommodation, so we had to check emails etc sitting in the car, which was annoying.
Owners seemed very welcoming and helpful and we rented bicycles from them. I recommend cycling to Hoorn or Medemblik. Also we spent time at Amsterdam, Duinrell theme park, Efteling theme park, Egmond Aan Zee beach so made the most of time.
All in all, not the worst however not the best accommodation but we did enjoy our time in Holland.

This B&B is really cute, its part of a vineyard and in a traditional Dutch property. The rooms were of a good size, en suite and the beds were very comfy, we both slept very well. It is situated in a very peaceful location so no noise that wakes you up early. The hosts were very welcoming and laid on a decent European style breakfast. We were served warm breads, sugar bread which was delicious, yoghurt, fruit, meat, cheese, boiled eggs, fruit joice, tea and coffee. This is a really good location if you are attending an event at the nearby WaterMolen, its just a short taxi ride.

I didnt know if I liked this place when I leave this morning.
The water was way too hot in thé shower, m'y friend was afraid of spider and... god there were à lot ! Dont go there on a heat moment, it is soooo hot, impossible to sleep !!
There were nothing to wash your hands !
We had to keep our towels the whole journey and wow, they were not cumfortable at all, so dry.
We took one breakfast. Dont bother it doesnt worth 8€ and we have to Wake up too early on a sunday. For only one terrible croissant, two pieces of bread and ham. One egg and orange Juice. So not worthy.
But in spite of that, we had great time. It Just didnt match thé way we are.
It is Perfect if you are retired or in a bike trip.

We stayed at the log cabins in the back of the property. They have 5 cabins all fully furnished for a self catering holiday. The owners take the term self catering to the extreme because you need to be aware that besides the furniture and kitchen utensils there will be nothing more. Be prepared to take your own matches to light the gas, cleaning supplies if you like to clean up after yourself, towels and toilet paper. Upon asking the owner about the matches the next day, as we were caught off guard at dinner time with no possibility to purchase them at that hour, he replied with a simple "you buy them at the store, I am not a match manufacturer".
The other interaction we had with one of the owners is when he visited us to say the heating was on, while the windows were open. Our mistake, we were unaware it was on to begin with. This statement did not deter him in barraging us with reasons why we should not do that. Not just one reason, but he went on and on about it in the most rude manner. A simple this is an organic farm, please be aware of the environment would suffice. Then again, if he is so concerned he would have provided us with cleaning supplies that caress the earth and not make us buy chemicals at the grocery store.
The third issue is the complementary almost non-existent wifi. The owners rebooted it once, while complaining she had no knowledge of the wifi. It baffles me that in 2014 there are still places that treat the internet as something we need to be grateful for if they provide. Just assume it does not work and you will not be caught of guard.
The surroundings are gorgeous. Quiet and peaceful, with frogs calling in the morning, hares walking by in the evening and ducks parading around all day. It could have been an idyllic experience if it were not for the brusk owner and the lack of supplies.
Personally I would recommend the owners to ensure everything is present in the cabins to start a holiday, self catering means just that, self catering. Not running to the grocery store to stock up on kitchen essentials and quickly buy towels to dry yourself. I would also make sure the male owner refrains from contacting the guests other then warning them he will be spraying the crops with organic material. He does not seem to understand we are his guests and not the other way around.
I would however book here again. I know now how to make this stay perfect and will ensure I bring all the essentials. The surroundings do make up for a lot of the bad experiences. But please, fix the wifi!

We are warmly welcomed and brought to our table. It is a nice tour of this family business with wine tasting and some savoury snacks. Then we got a good three course surprise dinner in the cozy restaurant overlooking the vines.

Very comfortable house in a vineyard, fully equipped. Good location to explore the area.
Unfortunately the restaurant and shop were closed when we were there, we would have liked to eat there and taste the wine.
