Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I and my friend stayed at Long Beach 4 night and we didn't want to leave. Even though we arrived just a few days after the cyclon Evan, we were welcomed with open arms and cared of very well by amazing staff. The local beach is beautiful. You can borrow sea kayaks and snorkelling gear for free. You can visit a village ($10), which is about 20 minutes leisure walk away. The Long Beach cook is great - we were happy with served meals (brekky, lunch, dinner), but quantity could be better since there aren't other restaurants/shops where to buy some snacks (we were hungry sometimes :o) )... I enjoyed my stay. It's a peaceful place where you can regain your lost energy.

We didn't try but they have a couple of computers with internet access and reception for mobile phones as well (it didn't work properly after the cyclon though, on the other hand - who cares if you are on a tropical island).

My review is totally personal and I don't want to put down the place or people living there as they do their best to take care of their land. and been very nice with us.This place just didn't meet my needs but can meet the needs of others. We arrived around lunch time, we had a friendly welcome by a member of the staff or family. At lunch time we had a scoop of rice with little pieces of vegetables. I was a little bit disappointed. Other point that need to be considered is that you can't go in the water during low tide (witch is a big part of the day) because the sting rays come in the sand. I was with my partner and his son then, I felt it was unsafe and boring for a little one and myself as I love to be in the water especially during the day when its hot outside, then that need has not been met. We had to pay our food by cash witch was expected but also our stay cash. It created a big hole in our cash budget. Most of places in Fiji you can pay at least your stay by card. Its a little detail I would have appreciated to know. There is only power between 6pm and 10pm. No wifi as well. Our room seemed to be cleaned and the toilet as well. We decided to leave the place after lunch for an other resort. The owner has been very understanding as we have been nice with her, explaining all of this in a kind way. This place can be a real paradise If you are looking for a remote place, simple, friendly, and quiet.
Vinaka and all the best for the beautiful people living there.

I really was amazed by the many reviews I saw. I had to write this message to especially thank all the friends who worked. We didn’t have any trouble during our 9 day vacation. Restaurant staff, bar departments, lifeguards, animation team, housekeeper, front desk, and as many staff as they are are all so attentive and friendly, and I thank them all individually. We had our kids relaxing with us without ever getting bored. Our second arrival this year. Everything was beautiful thanks.

I had the best few days with this host family. I was lucky to be staying during the school holidays so I got to spend time with the children who were fantastic. The food is excellent, beds are comfy and lots of activities. I did the cave trip, kayaking, blue lagoon snorkelling and had a cooking lesson from Kasa. The facilities are basic but you don't need any more than that. It is a truly Fijian homestay, thank you.

This place would without a doubt be the worst place in Fiji. Food was disgusting - several people came down with stomache pains and found out later that they had gardia thru drinking contaminated water from their drinking water taps. The beach is the worst in all of Fiji!! Even when the tide is full in water was only waist high - not enough to ever have a decent swim. The accommodation is disgusting - facilities dirty - not cleaned enough times - maybe once every two days - if that sometimes and I was here ( unfortunately for 2 weeks). I would not recommend this place at all - was so happy the day I left as was the other people that had stayed here also.

I stayed a week and we were totaly disappointed. Food is really awful, in comparison to other Fiji resorts (in total we spent 6 weeks in Fiji) food served in Long Beach was really poor. On lunch you can expect rice with ketchup or pasta with canned meat (it tastes like food for dogs!), on dinner we were served i.e. some lamb's bones (95% bones, 5% fat) or chicken's bones with just a skin. Definitly it was the worst food what we had in Fiji.
People were not welcoming, they even didn't smail or talk to guests. Some guys during dinners were playing the guitar, but all days they played just the same 10 songs without even one smile! It looked like they were slaves who were forced to do it.
A bure was spacious, a bed comfortable, but very dirty, especialy a bathroom. It looked like has never been cleaned.
Activites offered by the hotel depends on stafs desire... we spent a week and during this week a lot of people arrived and departed, but activites were offered once, no comments.
In general I really can not recommend the place. I would try to choose other resort on Yasawa, most of them are really nice and at least with friendly people, for sure with better food and cleaner bures.
The only one advantage is a beach. It's really nice, long and with nice water (almost no offshore snorkling), but it was not prepared by the staff, so therefore it's nice.

The Longbeach Resort was really the best accommondation in the Yasawas! The food was great, the cook worked before in a 5 star hotel, it was simple but very tasty.
The people working and living there were really nice, they made a nice kava-evening with all the guests, they were always very interested in us.
The owner (Noah) even went hiking with us on his small island right next to the main island. The view on top was fantastic!
We went snorkeling right in front of the resort and on a half day trip. We also had a Fijian-lesson. The beach was perfect and good for swimming at high tide. It`s very quiet and relaxing and perfect for travellers who are happy with a beer or a bounty coke at the beach, but if you look for a party-island you`re definitely on the wrong island.
