Travellers' Choice

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What a wonderful hotel - a very warm welcome and complimentary refreshments greeted us and we soon settled in to our lovely room with a balcony, sea views and all the amenities we would need, an excellent start. The hotel is classic mid century modern in style with wonderful art everywhere and the staff are friendly with impeccable service throughout our stay. Both breakfasts and dinners were excellent with a good choice of dishes and served in the dining room or out on the terrace when the weather permitted. Our every need was catered for and we very much enjoyed our stay here - well done Hotel Emilia, this is what a hotel should be like!

Positives: Lovely setting overlooking the sea which has been noted on many reviews. Spotlessly clean in all areas and friendly staff who go out of their way to ensure the wellbeing of their guests. Negatives: Lacked a wow factor on arrival with crates of bottles in view to one side of the hotel. Evening meal nothing special and ordered the veal which came as slices of beef so assume a mistake in translation. The breakfast in terms of style of service was the worst I have ever seen. Given a breakfast tray ( not a tray but a plastic wine container) containing 1 can of still water, 1 can of sparkling, a bag of muesli enough for a child's portion and a small box of cornflakes. I can partially understand this being offered during the pandemic but we've in the main moved on. Most of the items needed more of or changing which I'm sure was applicable to most guests, creating extra work for the staff. Each service we were given 1 bowl and no spoons. At least on the 2nd morning some of the priced a la carte menu appeared as standard and not charged extra. As a side point tea sachets were provided in the room but no coffee. The rear garden area was attractive apart from the hoses that laid across the grass and left all day and night. There is nothing that can be done about the structure of the building that looks more like a hospital or similar from the rear along with hospital floored corridors that adorn the outside of the bedrooms and to add to that hospital feel, room maids dressed all in white. Hopefully you will adapt some necessary changes.

A beautiful hotel. The whole staff - especially Erik make a huge effort to ensure a happy stay. We arrived as two tired travellers after the overnight ferry from Split to Ancona. Hotel Emilia fed us and gave us 2 nights accommodation of the highest standard. From the first coffee to through the fine wine and food all was first rate.

This was my 2nd stay at Hotel Emilia, and the magic is still intact. What a wonderful place, where you feel in peace, with a breathtaking view on the Adriatic sea. The garden, the swimming pool, the cocktails, the authentic meals at the restaurant, the so kind and helpful staff... what else?! Looking forward to being back!

This hotel in Marche has gorgeous surrounding scenery. We had a beautiful sea view from our comfortable room. There are three separate aspects from the gardens - hills, sea and mountain; we had enjoyable dinners watching the sun set. The staff were very attentive and accommodating, although we would have benefitted from more advice on local walks and restaurants. Breakfast was outstanding, which is not always the case in Italy.

The location, the staff, the breakfast and bar, the atmosphere, everything was lovely, beautiful and cool! Very very small remark - by cleaning the room the staff have forgotten to clean the dust on the furniture.
