We stayed four nights at The Barn. A luxurious holiday home with all modern conveniences, decorated and furnished to a very high standard. On arrival we found breakfast provisions provided, some soft drinks, crackers and cheese. The owner is a short text away and very helpful in answering any queries, even offering to have a corkscrew delivered when I couldn’t find one. Recommended!
We had our wedding reception at the barn. We bought our own food and the kitchen suited perfectly. We had 5 people staying and it was very homey and catered to everything we wanted for our special day
Lovely two night stay in a fabulous area. Well set up B+B , spacious rooms, nice breakfast and help staff providing advise on places to eat or visit. A very short walk to the beach with a couple of good restaurants in walking distance. Appreciated the white wine in the mini bar as well as the cheese board. Some traffic noise from road in our room. Thanks for looking after us.
From the moment we arrived we were welcomed by Denise who is an fantastic. She made us feel at home from the moment we walked through the door. Our room was spotless and fresh. She told us of all the places we should visit and told us to treat the place like home. We felt so comfortable here. Breakfast was great and set us up for the day. The beach a 3 minute walk away. Thank you for making our stay so memorable,
Ditto on all of the five star reviews. The lodge is beautiful and immaculate. Our room had a huge terrace and was so Airy. We loved being able to walk to the beach. Kym was beyond helpful. We felt like we were in our own home with friends. We are already planning our return visit.
Lovely lodge set in a beautiful garden, managed by two very nice helpful ladies Kym and Denise. Four suites all with different outlooks. We were in the Shakespeare room, well appointed room but had obstructed view and balcony overgrown with wisteria. Difficult to find on arrival as signeage extremely poor. Short walk to lovely beach and several other stunning beaches nearby. Couple of restaurants within walking distance, others were a 10/15 minute drive away.
What a same in such a lovely place to find a place in such a desaster and dusty estate It may have been a lovely place but it is not anymore and since à long time. Too rusty and not so clean - to avoid !!!
After several hectic days in Hong Kong we needed to unwind. Lonely Bay Lodge in Cooks Beach fitted the bill perfectly. The accommodation and facilities in our Atrium room during our two night stay were excellent. But it was our hosts Denise and Kym who made the stay particularly memorable with their friendly and relaxed approach. From the wine and cheese on arrival to the wonderful breakfast as we left, a lovely experience.
If I could give this 10 stars I would, that’s how good it is! The welcome was wonderful and the room and facilities are second to none. They think of everything, even beach towels in the room and spades for digging on the Hot Water Beach. As for the location.....5 minutes from the beautiful Cooks Beach which we had to ourselves and a short walk to Lonely Bay which is truly stunning. We went to Cathedral Cove for the sunrise and dug holes on Hot Water Beach. On a rainy morning we visited The Lost Springs hot pools and spa which was a real treat. But the absolute best thing about our stay was Denise. She was just lovely, providing a delicious breakfast and great top tips on things to do. Nothing was too much trouble and made our stay extra special. I really really really hope I can come back again. Thank you so much Vicki and Gareth …
We stayed here 2 nights - the rooms are spacious and beautifully appointed The location next to Lonely Bay and the lookout is well worth the walk to watch the sunrise The Lodge is a fabulous house with lots of seating areas and places to relax - try out Eggsentric a short walk from the house. Recommend Purigi room that we stayed in
