Detailed Reviews
Fab stay here. Lodges immaculate and well equipped. We enjoyed ourselves so much we booked an extra night. A few small points which could have improved our stay. We had a large hot tub outside and unfortunately quite a few of the jets weren’t working. I’m sure if we had approached the owners they would have tried to rectify this but as there was only two of us it wasn’t a major issue. We were staying at the lodge with our 2 year old son - we have stayed at quite a few lodges over Scotland and normally within the kitchen they have children’s bowls/plates/cutlery etc which would be a great touch for families with younger ones. We had the use of a travel cot (provided by the lodge owners), but the rooms weren’t a great layout as our little one managed to escape out of the travel cot by pulling himself up onto the beds - we had limited options of where to put the cot, and there was no stair gates for the stairs so this was a bit of a worry - something else that is often available to hire out or add on to the booking free of charge. Just a few small additions would make the holiday a little more enjoyable for mums and dads! Overall a fab stay and would definitely recommend ☺️

We are so glad that you had a fabulous stay. Next time you stay, please do come to us with any issues you may have. As you say most things are easily rectified. The jets in the hot tub at our Inchmurrin lodge can be be turned on and off individually to suit. There is a selection of children's crockery in the cupboard above the hob. As requested we provided you with a cot. Stair gates etc are also available free of charge on request, so please just say the next time you are here. We look forward to welcoming you back in the future at a discounted rate as valued return guests.

The hosts have gone to a great deal of trouble to make the lodges homely and comfortable. I think it would be lovely in the dead of winter - nice and cosy. You get tons of information from them before setting off and then they meet you to give you more. The extra touches were all appreciated (tea, coffee, wine, choccies, etc). Remember to take your passwords for Netflix, Amazon, etc if you want to watch something in the evening or you might be stuck with someone elses choices. We loved Skoosh in nearby Drymen for breakfasts and the Chinese they recommend was fabby - much appreciated as they delivered from Balloch!

We have just returned from a week staying in the Inchmurrin Lodge. This lodge has three bedrooms, a double with personal bathroom (shower, WC, sink) and two downstairs bedrooms, one double and a twin with a shared family bathroom (shower, WC, sink). There's a living room with wall mounted flat screen Smart TV downstairs and a second small lounge area upstairs with Flat Screen TV & DVD player (not connected to an aerial, so only useful for watching a DVD), so plenty of space. We were only three people, but I guess the lodge would accomodate 8, as the upstairs sofa turns into a sofa bed. The Inchmurrin Lodge was spacious, clean and very well equipped, with everything you need for your stay. We has a Tesco order delivered to our door the day after we arrived and the large fridge/ freezer held everything we need for a week's stay. There's also an excellent Co-op in Balloch if you want to buy groceries. We were able to get chinese food delivered from The Princess Rose on a couple of occassions, which was really excellent with prompt delivery to the door of our lodge and free prawn crackers included. Least but not last is the excellent hot tub facility. All in all an excellent place to stay.
The location is ideal for Loch Lomond but you do need a car. If you take your dog with you, which we did, there is a lovely walk at the back of the property which can take you all the way to Croftamie. I think there's an old dismantled railway nearby, which is national route 7, which is excellent for walking or cycling.
The weather could have been kinder the first couple of days, but thereafter things improved greatly, so we could really appreciate the scenery that the area has to offer. It's a fantstic part of the world, a short drive from Balloch (Balloch Country Park is well worth a visit, as is taking a cruise on Loch Lomond with Sweeney's Cruises) and it's half an hour from Stirling Castle (well worth a visit) or for that matter Glasgow, if you fanct some shopping therapy.
Jamie and Ingeborg, the owners, were excellent to deal with; they have their new property (a very good looking propery indeed with excellent views over open land, I am very envious) a short-distance away so can keep an eye on things without being intrusive and provide any assistance should it be required. They left us prosecco and chocs in the lodge for our arrival, a nice touch and were there to check us in which at one point due to heavy traffic looked like it might be outside normal reception hours, but as it turned out we got there during normal hours, we were able to keep them informed of our progress on the contact number they provide, so they were waiting for us on arrival.
We would happily stay here again and can recommend to others.

I booked over the phone my dad is disabled and needs a wheelchair as he is very unsteady so I told the guy over the phone and he said that's ok told me we could book up and they would accomodate my dad when we got there they had got a ramp but wasn't any use it had no hand rails or anything disability friendly atal once we got my dad in the lodge he was stuck in there he got up one night and tried to get to the livingroom holding on to things round him and FELL. They also say there's fun things for the kids to do and a play park no there isn't there is a small slide and 2 swings as you go up a very steep hill the board games in the lodges have bits missing so you can't play them the wifi is absolutely rubbish and you dont get a reception the kids were so bored within 2 days I also asked if there is any walks to go round the site and got told yes I would still love to know where these walks are because there is nowhere to walk with a wheelchair and the site is tiny and next to a very busy road so it's so noisy you barely get a sleep you can't play music atal while there my one year old grandaughter loves her toddler music but the rules are stated absolutely no music and its 10am till 10pm for the hot tub the rules on this site are ridiculous. They have absolutely no safety catches on the kitchen cupboards and my grandaughter had a dishwasher tablet in her mouth we got it out in time we had to move all the bottom stuff up to the worktops. When leaving you have to basically do the cleaners job for them and have the lodge ready for the other people the cleaners only have beds to change and towels to wash. We were out every day and tried to stay out as long as possible because once back at the lodge even the adults were bored and kids moaning there was nothing to do so if you want a lodge for children don't go here also it's one of these places if your face doesn't fit and your not rich and posh you'll get looked down on. Staying in this site has honestly put me and my family off lodge holdays for life and we would rather spend the fortune these lodges charge on a better holiday the adults and kids will love. This place is 100% not 5* in the slightest and is so expensive for what you actually get it's ok for a wee couple of days getaway with the other half but no way in the slightest a family holiday for a week with kids.

We are really disappointed to read your comments and we’re sorry that your stay did not meet your expectations. However there are a couple of points in your review that we believe are unfair. We had several calls with you in advance as we wanted to ensure that we got everything right for your stay. We advised you on what we could and could not provide in terms of accessibility and described the ramp that we have available. We recommended that your father stay in one of our lodges that would be better suited for someone with accessibility needs and you chose to use the other lodge for him. With regards to rules, yes we do state that guests shouldn’t use the hot tubs after 10pm and that is to ensure that there is no noise disruption for other guests. We pride ourselves in providing luxury, relaxing breaks hence the requirement for guests not to play music outside or use the hot tub after 10pm. It is a shame that you did not feel there was enough to do for the children but as you will see from lots of other reviews, families love coming to stay with us due to the number of activities that Loch Lomond and the surrounding area offers. We have a small play area for children with over 1.7 acres of grounds to explore and as we discussed with you (and as detailed in our guest information pack) the area is home to some spectacular walks. The national park is an area of outstanding beauty and we are ideally placed to explore both sides of the Loch. Lomond Shores is also just along the road with a wide array of shops, eateries, Sea Life Aquarium etc and there is an abundance of activities available on and around the loch. I am sorry that with all of this available, you did not manage to find anything to keep you and your party entertained but as a small family run business, we pride ourselves on providing a peaceful, safe, private, gated environment - we are not Center Parcs! We wish you and your family all the very best and thanks once again for visiting us.

We are just back from a long weekend staying in the Ben Lomond super lodge at LLL. From start to finish this place is 5 star. Very quick customer service responses. Polite, friendly and inviting team. Excellent value for money on these lodges.
We were staying for my partner's 30th birthday as a family of 7 adults and 2 dogs and it was a comfortable and enjoyable experience for all. the people at LLL went above and beyond to make it a special experience. There were happy birthday bunting, chocolates, individual cupcakes In a glass cupcake stand with a personalised label wishing him a happy 30th birthday, and bottle of bubbly in the fridge all there on arrival, complimentary from the team.
The lodge it's self was absolutely beautiful, with spacious bedrooms and living area, fully equipped kitchen, 2 electric showers, delightful hot tub and sauna. Luxury quality towels and robes provided for each guest AND separate special towels and bowls for the dogs.
The location of these lodges is perfect and picturesque, a mere 15 minutes drive from the banks of loch Lomond, 30 from Glasgow city.
I can not recommend Lomond Luxury Lodges enough, all 7 of us were already discussing dates for our next visit.
Thank you to Sarah, Mike and the rest of the team @ LLL

We visited for a family get together this wkend. This was a rebooked trip from just before the first lockdown, so it was great to finally be able to visit.
Due to COVID, there have been some changes to checkin/out times and cleaning processes but these were all well communicated in advance. We were met at the gate on arrival, given a warm welcome and shown to the lodge. We stayed in the Montrose. We were given some information about the lodge, local area and hot tub instructions etc. We were left to our own devices but I have not doubt the team would have been available to assist if needed.
The lodge was a good size with 2 large doubles and a twin. Our numbers were reduced a little so we ended up not needing the sofa bed or spare pull out, but the lodge could easily have accommodated additional guests than the 4 of us.
The lodge had everything you could need from crockery, to board games and dvds, fluffy robes and big towels that cover your backside (always a plus for me). Tea and coffee were provided. As well as a welcome gift of prosecco, chocs and a small milk.
The lodge we stayed in had a sauna and hot tub. We only made use of the hot tub, which was great.
Bed linen was provided and the beds were really comfy. The were hair dryers, ironing facilities and hoover etc available which would've been useful for a longer stay.
Tiny critisim would be that kitchen knives werent very sharp for those wishing to cook but such a small thing, and I've found the same in most lodges I've stayed at.
The Lodges are closer to the main road than I'd realised. They are secluded from the road by trees etc but there is a bit of traffic noise when you're sat out or if you are in the front bedroom. It does stop by 9ish and doesn't distract too much.
Really enjoyed our stay. Would definitely visit again.

We as a family of 5 booked the Inchmurrin lodge for our stay for our hiking holiday of Loch Lomond.
Our lodge was ready earlier than expected and does not fail to deliver.
We were met by Ingeborg who passed us the keys, informed us in the hot tub use & wished us well & if anything we needed then to contact her. Perfect.
(Complimentary Bubbly and Chocs too)
The lodge delivers on exactly what is promised, all Mod Cons, clean, and comfortable secluded peace and quite.
You are situated in between the Village of Drymen & Balloch, all a short car drive distance away, which is perfect for local pubs/ restaurants/ shops/ hikes/ The Loch etc.
I cannot recommend this business enough and will definitely be returning to complete more of the trails/ hikes and Monroe climbs I couldn’t complete in this visit.
Thank you Ingeborg and family and long may your wonderful retreat prosper.

This was a brilliant night away would highly recommend . We stayed at the wee oak tree dream pod and couldn’t fault it. The attention to detail and the the thought gone into the design and layout is just a dream. The hot tub also doesn’t cool down like most other places you go to do remains warm all day and night to enjoy. The owner ingeborg met us on arrival and made us feel very welcome, was just the loveliest person.
Couldn’t recommend this place more ! Worth every penny and we will definitely be returning hopefully soon again.
On a side not if your ordering in make sure the Chinese is open we called them all night to not get an answer and turns out they were shut on a Tuesday , Didn’t dampen our experience one bit but just so you can keep an eye should you wish to opt to eat in.

We have just finished our second stay at the Lomond Luxury Lodges. Always an amazing time. We have stayed in two different lodges on the property and both are in immaculate condition. The facilities in each lodge are second to none with the hot tub being maintained on a daily basis. During these unprecedented times they have taken several precautions to ensure everyone’s safety.
Would highly recommend staying at these lodges and cannot wait for the next visit.

Have just returned from a 2 night stay at the wee acorn and had the best time ever. Jamie and Ingeborg were excellent hosts. Jamie greeted us and showed us how to work the hot tub etc and they had very kindly left us a box of chocolates and a bottle of Prosecco in the fridge for our arrival. All of the little personal touches made us feel right at home. The lodges were well spaced out we forgot there were other people staying around us as we didn’t hear a peep or see anyone else during our stay! The BBQ was great on our first night and was lovely sitting at the seating area outside our lodge. Loved this little getaway and cannot wait to return.
