Detailed Reviews
Super pleasantly surprised at how modern and well presented the room we had was. Great shower in the bathroom, it's super hard water though (I thought the calcium in the water in Tennant Creek was bad, this was next level). Not very big (it's essentially a donga) but really nice for the night, and listening to the rain on the verandah roof was heaven. The only negatives were no wifi in the room (managed to get some signal outside) and pretty much zero noise insulation - unfortunately the people in the room next to us chose to sit on the verandah and talk all night. Excellent apart from those things! Good food at the pub as well, although it took forever to get to us. My partner ordered the kangaroo loin meal for $29 and even though the menu clearly states that the meals come with either chips and salad OR vegetables, he received the meal with vegetables despite us ordering it with chips and salad. When this was raised with staff, we basically got told that it definitely does not come with chips and salad and that was the end of it - no offer to give us what we actually ordered and my partner was left with a plate of veggies that he didn't particularly want or like. Disappointed with this, otherwise all good. The place has a really good feel about it, would stay again.

What a great Aussie pub this is! We stopped here overnight in a powered site on our way to Darwin and as soon as we arrived we both felt relaxed and loved the vibe here. Wedges were the best, crispy just how we like them. Lots of cool, funny stuff to look at. On our way home from Darwin we had booked to stay in a cabin however our van broke down which delayed our trip significantly therefore we had to continue driving once we were back on the road. The manager was understanding and refunded our deposit. Friendly staff, extremely busy place. It’s worth pulling off Stuart Highway and stopping in even if you just want to have a meal or drink.
I liked that there was individual ensuites for those camping.

Accommodation was basic but clean, airconditioner was good (needed that because it was high 30s), there was no table and chairs but that was OK, bottles of water were provided, the room was sufficient for the two of us and the dog (who is a giant dog). The walls are paper thin so we could feel the person on the other side when they rolled into the wall, and the conversation was audible fortunately no one snored. The Pub itself was great. The petrol station has a room full of old vehicles - reminded me a bit of the Salvador Dali museum in Figares (spain) because there was a boar's head poking out of an old car. Someone has a good sense of humour because there were also parking metres outside the pub and angle parking sign advising that you could on any angle. The staff were great - so helpful and friendly - two of them on overseas working visas. The food was hearty. Great atmosphere. Great experience. Essential visit really if you are doing a NT outback visit.

To say we enjoyed our time at Daly Waters is an understatement. This place is amazing! So much fun and incredibly well organised and run. The staff are so friendly and the whole atmosphere is one of happiness and fun. The meals are bloody amazing especially the barramundi (we had both the burgers and the grilled) the place is busy but everything (included meal wait times) runs super smoothly. Our accommodation was basic but priced accordingly ($130 p/n) it was modern and clean with good A/C and honestly all we needed as you spend so much time in the pub and surrounds. We spent 3 nights but I think 2 probably would have been better. One night however would not be enough. If I could rate this place higher I would!

We recently stopped for lunch at the Daly Waters Pub as a family of 4. The pub has an eclectic collection of weird artefacts, shirts, pictures and all sorts of odd items that brighten up the atmosphere. It is across the road from a museum which includes a range of obscurities, including a few historic vehicles and old helicopters. You could spend hours looking at the collections just within the pub.
In terms of food and drink, the selection is about the best there is between Darwin and Alice Springs. This is a big food menu, including a kids menu, and all the items we ordered were delicious. I had the grilled local barramundi and it was perfectly cooked. Lots of different drinks are available and the beer was cold. The staff were all friendly and helpful.
We really enjoyed our stop here and would recommend it to all travellers between Darwin and Alice Springs. It is a couple of km off the Stuart Highway.
They do sell petrol / diesel here but it is more expensive than at the roadhouse on the Stuart Highway. There are surcharges for all card payments, but these can be avoided by paying cash.
I look forward to stopping at Daly Waters Pub again when next in the area.

What a fun night. Great atmosphere here with every seat full for dinner. Options between an a la carte menu or the beef and barra with salad bar. Despite the place being super busy, we felt the service was pretty quick. Very quirky premise with bits and bobs from all over the world left in the bar and pub from visitors. Great host, was friendly and engaging with the guests. We stayed in the caravan park section. Nice site, some grass and shade available. Facilities were basic but clean and functional. We liked the different setup with the amenities, having dongas converted into small bathrooms with plenty of space. Each had a toilet, shower, mirror and basin inside. Does get very busy so would highly recommend planning ahead. We decided to stay around 11am and got one of the last sites for that night. We didn't need a reservation for dinner, but would recommend getting there early to grab a table.

We stayed in an older style cabin with a comfortable bed, satellite TV, small bathroom and basic kitchenette equipped with a fridge, kettle, toaster, microwave, crockery and cutlery but without a sink. Note that there’s no WiFi and barely any phone reception at the property. For dinner we opted to have the Pub’s signature Beef and Barra BBQ which came with an all-you-can eat salad bar and damper. The scotch fillet and barramundi (thick juicy fillet) was seasoned and cooked perfectly and the salad bar was excellent! At $34.50 we thought that this was great value! 3/5 for the rooms and 5/5 for the meals!

We ignored the rumours that you could not get a powered site in Daley Waters, walked in at 2pm and got a great powered site. Unless you arrive late in the evening I would recommend this as only a one night stay. But what a night. Its funny, quirky, sometimes cheesy but if you leave your preconceptions at the door and just enjoy this place for what it is you are in for a great night.
We had the Beef and Barra for dinner (AUD36) cooked to your liking (how with that many orders but they did) and served with a fantastic array of fresh salads. There is an extensive menu if that is not for you including the most amazing pizzas. The bar itself is well stocked and a site to behold with coins, notes, bras, shirts, caps etc all hanging from every surface. Staff are friendly and helpful. The show at night gives you both the history of the pub and the surrounds and the reason for the "contributions" to the bar decoration.
Breakfast the next morning (usual fayre) was equally good

beautiful place but a pity that the staff are not smiling and friendly (I have been working in the restaurant business for 10 years and if I can give the staff advice "if you don't like being in contact with customers you should change jobs 😉 ". We ate, drank and put petrol ($ 110 in total) and when we asked for a pen and a stapler to leave a memory of us, the young man not at all smiling sharply explained to us "you must give a donation before "😂😂. Too bad I imagined this place happier

We love this location and since moving to the NT and our first trip here in March average a stay once a month. Everytime we are here we have had a great time. The meals are fantastic - my favourite is the breakfasts and you can get great coffee!. Accommodation options we have tried have all been great and include the cabins, deluxe and standard motel rooms. Staff are great and there is always interesting guests to meet
