Amberfields B&B is a deluxe Farm Stay in a spacious and modern home, peacefully set 400 metres away from the road. Two luxurious suites are available, plus one single. Your complimentary continental and cooked breakfast is prepared using our own free range eggs, home baked bread and organic produce whenever possible. If you want an experience a bit different from 'the norm' give us a call or email. We are less than 2 hours south of Auckland en route to Waitomo Caves (the Caves are just 40 minutes away). Very private and peacefully situated in the heart of the Waikato dairy farming district. You are welcome to wander over our property wearing a pair of 'designer' gumboots maybe with a cold beer in hand, or help feed the friendly cows and collect the eggs. For locals familiar with the city of Hamilton, we are just 20 minutes south of Hamilton Airport and Mystery Creek.

It was a beautiful location & easy to find. We stayed 2 nights and the suite was spacious, had everything we needed, bed and bathroom were fantastic. We enjoyed great breakfasts with lots of variety and homemade and local products. Very helpful & acommodating hosts that have thought of everything & supplied everything that you might need. Highly recommended.

It was our pleasure having you staying at Amberfields and give you a taste of the beautiful Waikato region. It is so handy here to Waitomo Caves and Raglan, which I'm sure you also enjoyed. Enjoy the rest of your tour around New Zealand and travel home safely and relaxed! Linnie

I actually do not know where to begin. Linnie and Peter are THE hosts with the most believe me. The room with ensuite and a big walk-in wardrobe/storage room, looking out over the garden and fields beyond. The bed is huge and so so comfortable, the decor is superb, and we did not want for anything. Breakfast was just the best, delicious. Nothing was any bother. Really like home away from home but better, treated like very special guests. Janice and Paul.

It was our pleasure to host you both, and thank you for all your wonderful tips on growing roses! I am always really happy when I hear guests have had a lovely stay. Hope to see you again one day, and we look forward to hosting your Italian family in January. The children can collect the eggs and we can bake cookies together. I have all three rooms booked and confirmed direct with Marco.

The bedrooms are large and luxurious, with an ensuite with heated floors and central heating. The bed was very comfortable . My hosts Linnie and Peter were fantastic , very easy to talk to and Linnie made a beautiful breakfast with all the accompaniments-spring flowers, silverware and delicious home made food all served on special tableware. Amberfields itself is located 7km from Te Awamutu, amongst 7 acres of farmland and is in a very quiet location, but not too far from the town. The house is large , modern and has lovely furnishings. I thoroughly enjoyed staying there and really enjoyed meeting these lovely people who are the perfect hosts.

A perfect country setting and close to many local attractions. We enjoyed meeting Linnie and Peter and sharing their lovely home. Our bedroom and ensuite was beautifully appointed and their hospitality was outstanding. The amazing and delicious breakfast was sufficient to see us through till dinner. The finer touches and treats made our stay even more special and memorable. We will definitely be back to stay when we visit the Waitomo Caves.

Linnie and Peter have a beautiful home which they generously share with travelers from near and far and their accommodation options are first class. We chose Amberfields because it is all one level and one of the suites has a luxurious wet-floor bathroom ensuite, which my elderly Mum needed; the lovely pastoral setting is well back from the road and is quiet. From the first minute we were greeted warmly and treated like family and our three-night stay was really not long enough. The rooms are immaculate and beautifully appointed, with thoughtful extras and Linnie and Peter went out of their way to accommodate our special requests. The hosts are well traveled themselves and understand what people need to feel comfortable in a home away from home setting. As ex-farmers it was delightful to be able to see the farm animals from the windows and an added bonus was having conversations and cuddles with Spike the cat in front of a roaring fire. A truly delightful place to stay.

Thank you for your kind review and I am delighted you enjoyed your 4 day stay, treated as family yet with privacy and the utmost respect. Keeping our bathroom floors heated and the heating throughout our home at a comfortable temperature is important in our cold winter months. Our Herefords have now calved, we even have twins so next time you are nearby, come by and see Bonnie and Clyde, and Spike is always up for a pat! ♡ Kia Kaha ♡

Found myself stuck in NZ for an extended holiday. Just called Linda and Peter hoping they would be back in business after covid lockdown. Sure enough they were happy to have visitors again. I stayed there back in 2013 which they remembered and am glad to say the standard was still.as high and the welcome just as warm.and riendly. It is ideally situated for Hobbiton which was why we were in the area we originally booked for 2 nights but felt so at home we stayed an extra night. Had breakfast every day and dinner on the last night. Highly recommend the eggs Benedict and roast lamb with apple pie.

What a trip! I spent 25 days traveling around New Zealand and never felt so warm and welcomed as I did in Amberfields! The home was sparkling clean and ready when we arrived, the owners were so sweet and welcoming, and the view was absolutely gorgeous. Every morning breakfast was tailored to my desire and the morning sun stretched across the property. Everything was perfect! My room was clean and made to feel like I was at home and the people were so nice! This was by far favorite place I stayed on both the north island and south island. Fantastic time! Fantastic people! Beautiful property! What a trip!

My family and I loved our stay at Amberfields. Linnie and Peter were amazing hosts! We loved meeting the cows, chickens, and Spike the cat. Linnie was so helpful in helping us plan our time in New Zealand, all of her recommendations were excellent. We loved waking up to a delicious country breakfast after our best night of sleep in NZ. We stayed in 6 different hotels/BB on our trip and this was by far the best. The rooms and bathrooms were immaculate and the beds were exceptionally comfortable. I highly recommend staying at Amberfields. Peter and Linnie will take great care of you!
