Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

As far as options go for accommodation in Te Puke it's limited at best but this little motel should be the first you call with your booking. The room was basic and consisted of a queen bed, a single and a small but functional kitchen. The highlight was the cleanliness, it was spotless. Check in and out was easy, quick and polite.

Stayed here as in Te Puke for a family thing and no room left at Grandmas house. It's quite literally the only motel in the town. But is perfectly fine for a night or two. Is right on the main road, only a few minutes walk to McDonalds. Units are tidy and clean. Beds have electric blankets. All the basic amenities provided. Small kitchenette. No complaints at all. You get what you pay for, and as long as you're not expecting a five start hotel then you won't be disappointed :-) - would stay again.

Just wanted to give the thumbs up to the Beacon Motel. We were not planning to stay in Te Puke but our car broke down and we chose the Beacon. It was lovely - clean and nicely decorated. But the really great part was being offered tools to help remedy our situation and advice as to where to go. We were really grateful to the owner/manager. Many thanks

There is not a lot of choice in Te Puke but the Beacon did the job very nicely. We had a studio double unit (queen bed) and it had everything we needed and was clean and fully functional. Really appreciated the almost silent ceiling fan in particular as it was hot and muggy. Friendly hosts, and a nice little swimming pool (small but deep!) Walking distance of shops and cafes. We would definitely go there again.

We travelled over here for a Parkour Comp and booked at this motel which is the only one in the town. It didn't disappoint. The rooms were clean and tidy and having full kitchen facilities is great when you are travelling with kids. The management were very friendly and I have already booked another stay here. The only down side was the train track on the other side of the road which does have a train come through at night. However, the owners said they have plans to double glaze the windows which will help - but you could just get ear plugs and you'd be fine.
