Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Queen bed suite with tea/coffee facilities plus microwave. Plates and cutlery plus electric jug. BUT, no sink or bench space. Sole taps in small bathroom hand basin. Impossible to fill the electric jug and ludicrous trying to wash plates, despite provision of tea towel and detergent. No microwave bowl or suitable container.
Clean, but 3 lightbulbs failed and required replacement. TV temperamental.
Very limited storage. Heat pump in bedroom corner - no lounge heating.
Cost was moderate but poor value for such an inadequately equipped unit.
Not recommended unless desperate.

You get what you pay for, and although I wouldn't call this cheap by any means, it seemed mid-range Auckland prices in Nov.
Room was clean and it's relatively quiet, despite being on a residential thruway. Parking was a bit narrow, but nothing negative.
The only weird part was the front door/windows are all glass, with curtains covering them (at least for out room).

Pleasantly surprised in December to see a newer hotel where things are under new leadership. It is still a solid clean 3 star that will be here for a long time. Other 3 star motels are whole lot unsafe and lipstick on a pig. This is not like those. Solid S for effort. Good job mgmt new chaps

This place was disgusting had been damaged by the flooding Auckland experienced late January and the room was damp and stinking not fit for renting to anyone. There was blood on the floor, bed and curtains and when we complained the bedding was dirty and there were not enough beds for the group to sleep in we were told the office was closed. The owner is refusing to give a refund and the place is full of emergency housing people. A disgusting and horrific experience that should not be experienced by anyone else - this place should be removed from all reputable booking websites so no one else has to experience this disgusting environment or horrible owner.

This is a terrible place, owner is a greedy horrible person. Unit flooded in Auckland storm and not fit for having occupants rent it. Refused to give a refund despite the fact the room was damp and mouldy, blood on the bed and curtains, sheets that weren’t clean on the beds so there were not enough beds to actually sleep in. Used for emergency housing too. Horrific experience and it turns out many more people have been fooled and not had money refunded by this owner so stay clear!!!!!

As parents with 2 little children, we had a rough night with cars and neighbours coming and going all night. Could not sleep, children disturbed and sleepless. Packed up and left to return to Tauranga at 6 am in disgust, unable to continue our visit to Auckland relations. Would not ever stay at this motel again.

We only stayed for two nights. Not sure I would have wanted to stay much longer. The apartment was clean although everything was very dated, from the decor, carpet and bedding to the utensils in the kitchenette area. The pressure from the shower was non-existent and the toilet cistern self filled every ten minutes throughout the day and night. One of our party walked into a window on a balcony. The room was empty and the window had been left open when it had been serviced. You couldn't see it and we pointed out that it was dangerous as it would not close - it was defective. In walking into it, her glasses were damaged. When we asked for some insurance details, the manager / owner refused to divulge them and insisted we claim on our household policy. This is the first time we have used this motel and it will be the last. It will not be the last time they here from us though. Cue the legal team......

Good beds, aging rooms, tv's and bathrooms... Some paint peeling from walls but if you need basic at a decent rate you cannot go wrong... Certainly wouldn't want to pay more than nz100 a night

This was a great accommodation option for us as we were attending a conference at the AUT North Shore Campus. The service was efficient and simple. We were offered fresh milk when we arrived in case we wanted coffee in the morning. I didn't do the check-in or check-out so I can't comment on that bit.

The room had new fittings, everything was spotlessly clean and it had all the necessary items for business travel - ironing board, hair dryer, and free wifi with a good connection.

The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was a generous size, and although my room was probably the closest to the road, it was quiet at night.
