Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

Who would have guessed what a fabulous destination this is. Lots of activities for everyone from swimming, fishing, bush walks, tasting fabulous wine and enjoying gorgeous food. Also a great getaway destination or romantic retreat.

Stayed for two nights at the Eco Bach with family of 4. Bach has all the luxuries you can ask for. Wifi, Netflix, Espresso machine, etc. The location is a bird watchers delight. The owners are very hospitable. Highly recommended.

If you want to stay on Waiheke and looking for something unique then this place has got it.

There are several acvomodation units set in the bush catering for singles, couples or families.

The units each have their own unique features that make them fun to staybin from the simple cabin then the chalet and finally the bach.

A short walk down the road will find you on the islands foremost beach "Onetangi" with its long stretch of white sand and views out to Coromandel and Great Barrier. Also along the beach you will find a number of cafes and bars with great ocean views.

For the more energetic there are electric bikes available to hire should you wish to explore the island further.

All up this spor is awesome with great hosts.

Loved staying in this lovely little cabin, it was warm and cosy and very quiet, lovely romantic setting with the native bush and birds all around you. The glow worms were a bonus at the bottom of the track. (take a torch) Charles and Nikki were lovely people, really helpful and very knowledgeable about the island. We were close to almost everything, walks, restaurants and beaches. (we did take our car). would love to stay there again maybe in the very cool eco bach. Thankyou for the lovely restful break.

An amazing experience in a stunning location surrounded by a stand of original native forrest.Kakas in the tree out front and touis ,fantails and warblers all around. Charles and Nikki have a unique spot and their enthusiasm to share it made the weekend special for us and our 2 children. We breakfasted at Charley Farley's on the beachfront 2 minutes away and had the best eggs benedict . We dined at the local fish and chip shop on fresh snapper and juicy scallops as well as great oysters another night at The Oyster Inn.The kids played safely in the sand and water at Enclosure Bay
A great weekend - we will be back !

We had a beautiful time in Charles&Nikki´s cabin. IT felt so homy and that was helped by C&N´s beautiful hospitality.
The cabin was spotless clean, cleverly organized and with a nice little deck to have a drink between the trees.
Wihtout a car, the place was convenient for us as we could get there with a bus ride (and then 15min walk). We walked to Onetangi, also to Palm´s beach (a bit longer walk)... it was perfect for us.
We totally recommend this as a beautiful natural romantic getaway between the native trees and birdlife.
Thanks Charles&Nikki for everything!

I stayed here last year with my partner, and was simply amazed at how nice the location and the stay was. The bush location is so peaceful, and everything about the chalet/accommodation is spot on and perfect. Really enjoyed staying here and hope to return some day!

Waiheke Island is a really special place, just a quick ferry trip from Auckland.
The holiday homes are a bus ride from the Ferry Terminal set in original native bush - feels like a totally different world - as another reviewer said - listening to the birdsong is a great way to start the day.
Special treat was seeing Mamma Kaka (a native parrot) returning to her nest and hearing the chicks cheeping - Charles and Nikki, our hosts, are helping to save this rare and endangered bird - they are very special people indeed!
The homes are a quick walk away from Onetangi beach - swimming and a great cafe!

Thanks to Charles and Nikki we had an amazing time enjoying the peace of the beautiful bush surroundings and the Kaka nesting was a bonus. Can't wait to come back again, the chalet was immaculate and the hospitality was over and beyond anything we could have imagined. Fantastic place to stay.

Just loved the cabin with its outdoor deck nestled amongst mature native bush, with the tuis and kaka for company. Our accommodation was very private, compact, clean and characterful. Great to have a well equipped kitchen set up with fridge, hob and microwave. Eating on the deck among the trees was just heaven. Easy walk to the beach and cafes.
