We had such an amazing time away! The service was amazing as well as the amenities. Everything was beautiful and tidy, the location was quiet and secluded but not too far from the nearest beach - lovely vibes all around.

My wife and I spent a few days in Waiheke to start our adventure in New Zealand. What a great choice to stay at waiKnot. We stayed in one of the caravans and it was awesome. It was clean comfortable and peaceful. The shows rooms and toilets were modern and very clean. The kitchen/ dining area had everything you need. There was also free WiFi as well as facilities to do laundry. It’s about 10-15 minute walk to the Beach, a beautiful coastline. And there are some great restaurants by the beach as well. By the beach is the bus stop which runs frequently into the main town and back to the ferry port. The people in the neighbourhood were very friendly and helpful. The owners were a pleasure and did their best to make us feel comfortable. A great place to go and relax. Next trip to New Zealand we will definitely be back....... I mean WaiKnot!

Sally - Anne has three caravans and two double bedrooms that share toilet and shower facilities and a separate kitchen / sitting room. She advised us to take the caravan as there were workmen in the bedrooms. I was a bit concerned at wandering up to the toilet block in the night but in fact it was quite a magical experience walking through the beautiful garden with fairy lights illuminating the way and the dawn chorus, mainly of tui. The caravan was comfortable and we were on a quiet lane between the vineyard walk and steps down to beautiful Onetangi Beach. The buildings were lovely with s great use of wood including walkways and decking. Obviously a labour of love to build Wai Knot

Lovely weekend on Waiheke, beautiful caravans nestled in a lovely garden with lots of natives. Very clean accom and communal areas. We used their facilities to cook dinner each night on our stay, the electric fry pan and electric elements did the trick for us. The accom has great access to a wine trail, walking in amongst the grapes to some brilliant vineyards, including te Motu, Stonyridge, Wild on Waiheke. We really enjoyed this. We loved Onetangi beach, we drove there from the accom, which took about 3-5mins. Thank you Sally-Anne, loved your accom

We stayed in one of the caravans which was very comfortable and clean. It gave us a camping like feeling, which we liked a lot. Toilets, shower, kitchen and living room (all shared) are close by, very clean and nicely decorated. And free goodies in the kitchen (milk, jam, tea, coffee...). Also handy: free laundry! The garden that surrounds everything is beautiful and gives a hideaway like feeling. Onetangi Beach and bus stop are in walking distance. When we come back to Waiheke, we will stay here again!

Stumbling across Wai-knot on trip advisor with only 3 reviews I was dubious but with the retro caravans I would call this hideaway a glamping experience. On checking in I was pleasantly surprised. Attention to detail was thoughtful with the finishing touches, the regenerated plantings provide a tranquil atmosphere and the bird life you hear in the trees all around you are amazing. However, heed Sally-Anne's warnings of the mozzies! They come out in force at night! The shared facility's of the WhareNui are a slightly new experience for myself but very clean and tidy with sufficient amenities available. It's a very peaceful & relaxing environment but right on the doorstep of the main town center. Sally-Anne has created a home away from home with no attention to detail missed and succeeds in bringing her Maori heritage and the NZ kiwiana together. Fantastic achievement.

I was so happy with my stay here at Wai-knot on Waiheke Island. I spent a few days in Auckland and then Waiheke was my final stop before heading back to the States. I was there for a few days of rest and relaxation and that's exactly what I got. It was so peaceful and quiet there. The birdsong was relaxing. The amenities in the shared kitchen and the shared bathrooms were great. Also the place is SPOTLESS! It's so clean!!!! The owner was very nice and has great knowledge about the surrounding places on Waiheke. It's within walking distance to the Onetangi beach which is quite beautiful. It's also within walking distance of several vineyards. I highly recommend this accommodation.

We booked a night at Wai-Knot expecting a very ordinary stay...this was not to be. It was a huge surprise to us two 'oldies' who are use to motels and hotels when travelling. We loved every minute of our stay in this unique location amongst native trees and shrubs and having to share the scrupulously clean kitchen and bathroom facilities with others. As travellers over many years, the beds in particular need a special mention. We can confidently say they were the best ever, together with the beautiful linen. Sally-Anne and her family had thought of everything to give their guests a special experience. So many wonderful touches - far too many to mention - but if you are looking for something different, Wai-Knot is for you.

I was concerned about the comfort of beds before our stay. They have put so much work into refurbishing these caravans to the utmost level of comfort. I can't wait to come back here, so quiet, peaceful and great access to Obsidian and wine trails. LOVE THE HOMEMADE SHAMPOO AND CONDITIONER! and thank you for the after sun care, I was very lobstery. You truly have a top notch place!
