This Holiday Park has really big sites for campervans. All facilities has been clean and tidy. The staff at the office was very kind and he gave us all necessary information. The location is directly behind the beach, near the Abel Tasman Monument and some walkways.

We got the fully contained cabin, with kitchen, toilet and shower. Lovely warm cabin with nice balcony looking at the beach which was very close and we could see it through the other windows. Very good shower. Very clean. Very comfortable bed. Cabins were very smartly set out to give as much privacy as you can. Great staff with very good advice about the local options both in parks and eateries.

There was nothing wrong with the stay but in comparison to other top 10 parks it was a bit pricey. All staff were pleasant and amenities were all very clean. Located on beach but very little use the beach. Not much atmosphere. National park is close by if your into walking/ trekking but not much to do after that.

Thanks for your feedback. This is definitely a walking/paddling mecca. Don't forget to check out The Grove Scenic Reserve (Jurassic Park), Waikoropupu Springs, Wainui Falls, Milnthorpe Scenic Reserve, Paton's Rock (collecting Kai Moana) and of course, the Windows 10 Beach itself, Wharariki! Oh, and Kiwi Distillery just down the road. A walk back along the beach at sunset in bare feet to end a perfect day....Safe travels.

Over priced considering need to charge additional for use of showers. This is not even peak period. Clean facilities and ex access to beach. Wouldn't recommend as there are better value options in region

Thank you for your feedback. It is always worth researching where you intend to stay before you arrive so that there are no surprises. Golden Bay parks have installed coin shower meters due to our rain water harvesting system and bore water supply. You are in one of the most isolated communities in the country which relies on a limited water source. There are other options you can choose in the bay area, and it is worth checking them out for a future stay. Enjoy the rest of your travels.

This was the most expensive Top 10 we've stayed at in our campervan during six weeks touring NZ and, despite its beach-front location, surprisingly poor value. None of the muddy "grass" pitches were level and if you left for the day you didn't necessarily get the same putch again. The kitchens had zero pots crockery or utensils so other campers were having to borrow from each other, something we've not seen anywhere else. The cold bathrooms have big brick vents so no chance of retaining warmth. The coin in the slot showers had feeble hot water pressure with the narrowest of benches and only a single hook to hang clothes on with no curtain or screen to keep a dry space. My wife says the ladies' toilets main door wouldn't close, had no lady bins and the waste bin (just one) had no lid. We stayed two nights but wished we'd only stayed one. …

Thanks for your feedback and sorry that we did not meet your expectations. As advertised on our website, our showers are coin operated for the same reason all larger campsite showers in Golden Bay are coin operated. Water saving is an extremely important factor when one relies on rain and bore water for their supply. Pohara Beach Top 10 Holiday Park is a huge consumer of this resource and it is our responsibility to all users in our area to conserve water as best we can. We feel the lower charge of $1 is not too much to ask. It also eliminates people using the showers for half an hour at a time washing their body boards, wetsuits and spreading sand everywhere which is exactly what occurred constantly before we installed coin systems. The feedback has been overwhelmingly in favour of them by regular campers here. Timers were considered, however Tag Teaming is a constant issue for other parks and so it was decided to go by coins. Kitchen packs are available for hire at reception, though most campers tend to be self-sufficient these days and bring their utensils. Our park is going though some renovations and our apologies if you were not happy with our ablution blocks. Enjoy the rest of your travels and have a fabulous Spring time. You cannot get closer to the beach! We booked a powered site, they're of a generous size, facilities are spotless 24/7. Super friendly and helpful staff. Every visit is amazing. Highly recommend. Great spot for kids too. Will absolutely be back.

Exceptionally clean, tidy cabin with super comfortable beds. Toilet block facilities also clean as was the kitchen block. Great location to Pohara Beach. Molly B's restaurant across the road is a great compliment to the campground, excellent food and service.

Beautiful location with cafes and local dairy within a quick walk. Cabin was $90 for two of us, though the bed was not the most comfortable we didn't expect it to be for the price. The cabin was next to the beach and was nice and warm
