Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Semowi Nature Farm is a hidden gem close to Shorobe, Botswana. The up market camp has been recently completed and boasts some very comfortable tented rooms with on suite bathroom facilities overlooking the river. The rooms are very well appointed with imaginative colours and materials. The centre piece of the camp is the main lodge with dining and bar facilities and a huge veranda with wonderful river views and the associated wildlife. It is a very peaceful place and an ideal spot to have a relaxing stay. Severine, Morgan and their friendly staff gave us delicious meals and made our stay very comfortable and enjoyable. We will definitely go back and highly recommend it to anyone. It is a wonderful place.

The special thing about Semowi/Severine (Swiss) is that she offers a mobile tent safari in the Okavango Delta/Moremi for moderate rates. We paid 325 dollars per person/night for a 4-day/3-night safari for ourselves and it was unbelievably beautiful and adventurous with everything you could imagine. The guide, cook and an assistant spoiled us and the tent was very large with an attached toilet/shower. Otherwise, her lodge is fantastically beautiful, with the best food we had in Botswana. To expect something like that 30 km from Maun, we were delighted.

Semowi is a small, well-kept lodge that offers accommodation in 4 luxurious and very comfortable tents, each dedicated to an animal: lion, hippopotamus, elephant and crocodile.
In the common area, a beautiful patio and the restaurant, which offers light lunches and refined candlelit dinners, during which it is possible to taste excellent local dishes.
All structures overlook the river.
The owners are always present and available to satisfy guests' requests.
The activities that can be booked through the lodge are excellent, in particular the multi-day mobile safari in the Moremi Reserve, an unforgettable experience!

Simply great! Not far from Maun you are completely in the African wilderness. From the very comfortable tents we enjoyed the view of the Gomoti River and listened to the sounds of the hippos and the birds. With a bit of luck you can also see elephants.

Both the breakfast and the dinner were first class and the joie de vivre and charm of the staff and the owners make you feel perfectly looked after.

If you are already in Semowi, you should definitely visit the nearby "Elephant Havens".

Conclusion: We want to visit Semowi again as soon as possible.

Absolutely lovely little camp on the banks of a river filled with hippos and elephants passing by.
Made with a lot of love- each tent is personalised to its own character.
Hot hot shower (a must in July!) coffee & tea in the room and a gorgeous view from either your own veranda or the veranda of the main area.
The camp is part of the owners farm so be ready to stumble on goats and chickens; especially when staying on one of the campsites;)
