This is a beautiful hotel set on a lovely sandy beach. The staff are amazing and soon get to know your likes and dislikes. It is set away from the main town of Kao Lak and is quiet and relaxing but does run a shuttle service to the town. We were extra late in arriving due to a mix up with the pick up from the airport which took us to the wrong resort. However on arrival Robert the manager was there to greet us personally and had arranged for a meal in our room as we had missed dinner. However we went to the bar to get a drink and a staff member had been to our room, saw we weren't there and brought it down to the bar for us. The grounds are beautiful and walking down to the beach past the lakes and fountains was amazing. At the bar on the beach there was a show on two nights but there was a resident duo who played every night. Dancing on the beach was great fun but don't wear good sandals! I don't know the names of most of the staff but the reception staff were really helpful as were all the waiting staff. The only name I can remember is Clarissa who was lovely as were all the others so our thanks to all of them for making our holiday so memorable. I would defiitely go to this hotel again. But if you want a lively holiday, this is not the hotel for you.

This resort is truly amazing. I cannot give a clearer recommendation than the Beyond Resort for Khao Lak. Everything is really fabulous here. It starts with the reception, this beautiful lobby, the welcome drink and the friendly welcome from the staff; it is like being where you want to be all your life without knowing that you want to go there. In any case, the reception was a magical affair. Afterwards the receptionist as well as an employee in a golf caddy brought us to our villa together with our luggage and there all our expectations were exceeded. An almost 80m ² domicile with a living and sleeping area incl. Minibar, coffee and tea making facilities, a dressing room as a passage to the bathroom with separate toilet, shower and 2 separate washing areas and an outdoor shower. Beautifully and traditionally decorated, great furniture and the outdoor shower wonderfully laid out. The icing on the cake in our case was the private pool right in front of the villa with a view of the beach and the sea. And, as a first spoiler, the service (housekeeping) was exceptionally good. (We were in 1201 from January 21st to January 29th, 2020). The housekeeping was done several times a day, the minibar refilled and in the evening we were even brought over a bed of cookies. That was really great! We could already say that this is heaven on earth. However, that was just the beginning. In the morning, at the first breakfast, we were able to get a nice seat and were not only welcomed by Tik every day until the last day. No, she knew what we wanted to drink from then on and served us excellently. Breakfast was exceptional. Diverse, varied, fresh and of excellent quality. Incidentally, this also corresponds to what I can say about the restaurants of the resort. Absolutely great! The pool area is definitely phenomenal. So beautifully laid out, so great water quality and a sight that, with a view of the beach and sea, will definitely be remembered forever. The fact that there is a pool bar in the middle of the pool and that there are pool chairs in the shallow area of the pool was another big highlight. And also in that area, every employee was always friendly and cheerful! The resort also offers in-house cooking classes, which we booked directly. So you don't have to go to Khao Lak. And so we were taught how to quickly and easily prepare Thailand's pearls in such a friendly and funny atmosphere that it was difficult for us to be careful and to remember how to cook those delights again. Thank God we received the recipes in a beautiful booklet as well as a certificate. The whole resort is also wonderfully laid out and surprises with many architectural and landscaping highlights. And it is clean. All over. It is a resort to fall in love with diverse possibilities (also offers outside the resort) that make it even more difficult to leave. One thing is certain, it is not only an obvious recommendation to spend the best days of the year in this resort, no, we will definitely be back!

This resort is set in a beautiful garden and although the villas are not new they are kept spotlessly clean by housekeeping and everything works. We stayed in an Elite villa with pool and the extra money is well worth it. The air conditioning cools the room in an amazingly short time and it does not need to be left on when you are not in the villa. There is a cold fridge with daily refills of complementary soft drinks and beers. Should you need extra drinks or snacks there is a small supermarket within the hotel which is open 12 hours daily. WLAN works well throughout the resort. Although the resort was quite empty due to the Corona virus the breakfast buffet was large and tasty. Food at the beach restaurant especially the Thai curries we found to be very good and an amazing location to watch sunsets. All staff were smiling and friendly despite obviously being concerned about losing their jobs due to lack of tourists. The manager Stefan Frenzel is constantly checking with the guests that all is to their satisfaction . We will certainly be returning to this hotel again. Only thing we would change would be to stop serving the evening turndown snacks and cakes in so much plastic. There are better plastic free alternatives such as chocolate pralines or sweets.

We have spent 3 weeks at this wonderful resort and we are leaving tomorrow. This was our third stay at this resort and we already plan to come back! So nice to be recognised by the staff again despite so many guests they host. This year we stayed from mid Dec to early Jan.
The resort is unlike many other resorts in the Khao Lak area actually beachfront.
Fantastic poolarea which never feels crowded. The guests are mostly couples (adults only) and very nice, quiet, and polite and come from a wide range of countries. Easy to find people to socialize with.
The beach directly by the pool is clean, vast and nice for long private walks, to the north almost empty after first 1.5 km, to the south a few resorts and beach restaurants but not crowded in any way.
The Villas are spacious and of very high standard and very close to the pool area and the beach.
Great breakfast! We had purchased halfboard and enjoyed most of our dinners at the beach restaurant. Very well made food from a broad menu. We only eat breakfast and dinner and for us almost impossible to consume the TBH included in the halfboard total sum. You pay separetely for drinks which are pricy compared to other places on the beach.
This time we used the gym frequently and while it is small, there is good options for training, although some of the equipment is due for replacement/modernization.
A key strengh for this resort is their staff which seem to be based on a core of permanent staff working across the year. We percieve them almost like a family with a strong culture, attitude and seem to enjoy to work together.
All staff is great but to mention our favourites, HAT as the exquisite, generous and warm food and beverage manager, ALMA as the caring and excellent host, PAI and NAF - super service always with a smile, and BLEN and CLARISSA for service and kindness.

One of best resorts we’ve stayed in. Our room looks modern and clean. Comfortable bed and pillows, air conditioning was quiet and worked well. The buffet breakfast every day was one of the favourites where foods varied and displayed very nicely. Choices were from Western to Continental breakfast: croissants were always warm, bacon, eggs in any way you like it, congee ( our favourite), fried noodles and rice and sausages. Coffees always served with a smile. The staff were wonderful especially Alma, Blenn, Naf and Clariz at the restaurant and Jenny,Marie and Eddie from Recreation. Alma made us feel so welcomed. Pool areas get busy at midday but there were always lounges available for the resort has “no reservation of seats” allowed. The beach was just heaven, white sand, clear water and never crowded with tourists so we really enjoyed our 6km runs and 11km walk (with swims in between) along the beach. We also stopped at small restaurants for a drink and then at another one for a lunch during our walk.
The complimentary Cocktail With The Manager Night by the beach was a really nice touch where delicious finger foods and refreshing cocktails were served and you get to meet the managers and talk to the staff. We were served and had a nice chat with these two friendly, lovely staff, Jenny and Marie, and speak English fluently. We could have conversed with them all night.
The resort is apparently just 8 years old and has 12+ years and up only guests policy which suited us as couple guests. The market is 10-15mins trip to the market but there were small and big restaurants, bars and mini shops around the area. We checked out Sarung Fall on foot which was only 6km walk from Beyond Resort and back. We had buffet dinner and cocktails by the beach at night with moonlight and stars. We stayed here for 4 nights before we moved to busy Kamala and Patong. It was really a great, relaxing stay at Beyond Resort and we’ll be planning our return for sure and we’ll be staying here longer.

This resort did not disappoint. We loved everything about it, especially the service from all the staff. The lovely and welcoming Alma who remembered us every morning at breakfast and afternoon in the restaurant. The amazing service from Naf in the beach restaurant and Nook & May at the omelet station at breakfast. The photos of this resort are spot on, it’s beautiful. We hardly left the resort because it had everything we wanted for a relaxing finale to our holiday. Cocktails by the beach lazing on the abundant sun lounges ( no need to stress about securing one) or at the swim up bar. Delicious thai food at the beach restaurant watching the sun set or strolling along the clean beach and stopping off for a relaxing massage from the many massage huts run by the friendly locals. We stayed at an elite villa, which was lovely and kept amazingly clean by the housekeeping staff. We had a private jacuzzi but only used it once since we spent most of our time by the pool/beach. These villas are the furthest from the beach so if you like going back at forth to your room you might want to consider a palm villa which are closer. Loved it here and we will definitely be back!

I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone hoping to relax, spend time at the beach and enjoy Thai hospitality (and Filipino hospitality, seeing as our favourite resort staff were from there!). Excellent service from all staff but particularly from Ms. Alma and Mr. Naf at the beach bar and restaurant. Ms Raya (and her equally talented singing partner) provided excellent entertainment of an evening and was extremely welcoming and friendly. There are a lot of mosquitoes which is unfortunate but not the fault of the hotel, though perhaps the abundance of beautiful freshwater ponds is unhelpful in this regard. The food and drinks were all great, though vegans are not very well catered for on buffet evenings or at the Siam Thai restaurant. The a la carte menu at the beach and the breakfast buffet were both better suited for vegan diets. There are enough sun loungers for everyone to enjoy without the usual stress of other guests reserving at the crack of dawn and the beach is vast enough for everyone to find a space. We were in room 2601 and this was quite far back from the seafront but not as far back as it looked on the hotel map. It was only a short and pleasant walk to the sea, the pool and the beach bars and restaurants, as well as to reception in the other direction. The drivers who take care of transfers are polite and drive very safely and comfortably. We ran out of time to spend our massage vouchers at the spa but we had manicures and pedicures with therapists who were a little difficult to communicate with (our fault for not speaking any Thai) and one in particular was quite moody, but nothing major. The spa manager/receptionist was very helpful and courteous. I will definitely go back to Beyond Khaolak and join the long list of returning guests that we encountered during our stay. A really special place, made all the better for being adults only :)

this is THE place to go if you want a relaxing holiday, away from crowds in Phuket and back to friendly locals and amazingly attentive staff. 12 nights went too quickly, 10 of which were on a Luxury Escapes deal, and we happily paid for the extension. Beyond is still ramping up after Covid lockdowns (as are all other resorts in Thailand), nonetheless the place is a relaxation haven with the added advantage its adults only. The staff are so attentive and happy, the room cleaned daily and expertly, the selection of inhouse dinner meals extensive, the pool area is so relaxing being just opposite the beach. There was plenty of rain during our stay but there was always something to do - a swim, a massage, a day in Khao Lak, a walk up to the Rainbow waterfall as well as the daily stroll across kms of sandy beaches north and south, as well as just engaging with the friendly staff at breakfast and dinner. A new addition is their steakhouse, Motown on Fire, and it is a hit. Robert (the returned manager) has done a marvelous job bring this resort back on line. The bottom line is, will we come back to Beyond - absolutely, without hesitation.

This will be my third review for this hotel. We first visited in 2015 and had such a good time we returned with our parents in 2016. We had a little rest and then returned with friends in January 2020. The place hasn't really changed over the years, the staff are still lovely with such a helpful friendly manner. Really good to see familiar faces of Alma and Eddie still doing everything they can to make you holiday the best. Villas still comfortable and clean although a little tender loving care would freshen them up a bit. The gardens and grounds are always beautiful Breakfast is more than enough with everything you would need and expect, and if you need something you can't see just ask, they will do all they can to provide it for you. This visit, there is a new manager. We were worried about this at first because we really liked the last manager. We walked passed the new manager a couple of times he was always polite and said good morning but not as warm or welcoming as Robert, but that is just a personal observation. Also we were concerned that the hotel will now be allowing children over 12 to stay, we had always loved the adult only vibe of the resort and hope this won't be lost by letting children stay. Obviously the world has changed a bit since January and we completely understand that resorts will need to do whatever they can to fill rooms and balance their books. This is a well run good resort that gives you the peace and quiet to relax and unwind the beach is quiet and stretches for as far as the eye can see. This is not a party resort and that's why we like it. The beach bars and restaurants are good and a pleasant stroll along the beach only 10 min walk at most. We have booked to return this November and really hope we will be able to see the place and people again. When times are so unsettled its reassuring to know that hopefully this place will remain unchanged and ready to welcome's us when we return

We arrived to Phuket airport on 16th December 2021 and Thailand Pass procedure with swabbing went very smootly. At no time er were sitting in our transport car heading to Khalo Lak after 2.5 years. Trip to our resort Beyond Resorti in northern part of Khao Lak take 1.5 hours. Checkin in Beyond Resort was fast and in no time we were sitting in Golf Buggy heading to our Premier Villa. At the villa staff member introduced Villa ameties and so far so good.
I asked her how long time aproximently we must wait for RT-PCR test result. She told that boss called airport and everything is ok and you can go out.
It did not take long time before we found ourselfs in the beach area exploring how things are. Resort pool area and the beach looked fantastic and very clean. Sea was calm and water was calling my name to swim.
Pros: Peacful area in aprox 15 km from Khao Lak center area, Beach is long and beautiful, no rocks or other debry in the area. After exploring beach area offerings I found few good family run restaurants in short walking distance from the resort. Resort have it’s own resraurant on the beach and massage too in their list. Alma was very active specially in Happy Hour time to promote drinks in special price.
Cons: Villa shower area had time to time not so nice odour from the sever, but most of the time it did not bother us. Minibar fridge was ok size so we could keep our medicines and drinks in cool area. Bed was rather hard (firm) even I am big boy we must ask staff to bring some toppings in the bed. After this it was ok. Resort is quite far from main Farang area, but resort offer transport twice a day to main area Bang Niang or such. 3PM and 6PM 140 THB per person. Return to resort was full of barter time and 250 THB was ok to our budget for both of us with taxi or soongtaew. Keep cash in your hand when you are hagling with taxi drivers. When they see cash things are much easier.
16 nights went too fast and we returned back to cold Finland on January 1st.
