Filthy, and smelly, dirty fridge, floors, bedding, furniture. We stayed less than an hour, decided it was too gross to stay overnight and left. Booking dotcom refunded our stay in full. This place is used as govt. emergency housing and the owner/manager doesn’t seem to care about cleanliness at all. Didn’t correctly wear a mask while we were dealing with him. Didn’t seem fazed that we found the place too dirty to stay at. Don’t even think about staying here. It is disgusting.

The place is very tired and worn out. Stained and sticky carpets with old soft bouncy bed. Very noisy being right on the main road and having windows that don't fit properly. Shower head sent water in all directions but the water was too hot to get under. No satellite TV or bathroom amenities. Needs a complete refurbishment to bring it up to modern acceptable standards.

Stayed there last Saturday. Everything in our room was old, tired, worn out and very grubby. The towels supplied had heavy staining on them and looked as though they had been used for cleaning the floors. The bed was OK but the linen on it was suspect - it didn’t look or feel clean. We stayed the night but left as early as we could next morning as the room felt uninviting and not a place where you would want to be for longer than was absolutely necessary.

Right on the main road where noisy trucks passed at frequent intervals all night. Would need double glazing if anyone wants to actually get any sleep. Unit described as having "kitchenette' which in fact consisted of a fridge & a microwave [at opposite ends of the room] -no bench space at all, no sink [dishes had to be washed in the handbasin.]Minimum plates & cutlery, no bowls for microwave or serving utensils. made reheating the meal we had brought difficult. Place generally a bit 'tired,' bed not so comfortable & though linen clean pillows very stinky as smell of dirty heads came through very quickly.

The 2 bedroom unit was large, clean and tidy. The staff were excellent and very welcoming and accommodating. However, the place was very tired and shabby and because it was so close to the road when the large trucks came past it was very noisy and the room shook. We stayed upstairs in Room 8.

Very standard motor lodge on the edge of the main road. Expect low-class underwhelming decor. Very comfortable beds but our walls and ceiling had mould and our toilet was broken. Would possibly recommend if you want a short stay but not worth the money.

Child-friendly environment, thoughtful owner and easy access travel overnighter. Relatively serviceable kitchenette, bit surprised by no can opener. Beautiful water pressure, minimal, low package bathroom supplies and a tiny bit of road noise. Could be used again, especially for an early start on the road.

I stayed here for one night on a business trip in July 2018. The hotel itself is old and a bit rundown but the rooms were clean, comfortable and the water was plenty hot enough. Do not come here expecting a 5-star experience but it is more than adequate if passing through. A decent cheap meal can be had at the restaurant as well, cooked up by the owner himself. It is located on the main arterial highway so as other posters have mentioned, there is a quite a lot of road noise from the truckers but if you sleep like I do, it won't bother you in the slightest.

The only good thing about this hotel is the comfortable beds. The hot water tap dripped and we put a flannel on it to stop the dripping. The walls were stained and the expelaire was rusty and dirty. The over use of deodorants in the room was over powering & there was traffic noise. We only slept there did not stay at all during the day or the following morning we just left early. Peter introduced himself and said if we had problems to just ask but we did not ask him to fix a dripping tap on a weekend as would have taken an after hours plumber to come in. Reception was dark and in need of some new paint.

This accommodation was dirty dusty and with cob webs. Beds stained .Towels old and brown. listed in AA Traveller then and still does. I raised my concerns with the management and the Council who didn't really see there was a problem.
