We had stayed in the Acadia Room during a work getaway with the rest of our team. Lynn and Rod were the best host throughout our stay. The whole property is well maintained, super clean and cozy! Breakfast was amazing and was a great way to start our day sightseeing in the Valley. Not only were Lynn and Rod the kindest host, they also were very informative and full of knowledge about all the best spots to see, and exactly how to get there! Our room was beautifully decorated and offered all the amenities you could wish for! We were so happy with our stay at the Farmhouse Inn Bed and Breakfast, we are already looking forward to the next time we are able to stay with Lynn and Rod again!
So glad we chose the Farmhouse Inn to celebrate our 35th🥂🍾 anniversary on our mini staycation in NS. Out hosts Lynn and Rod were so welcoming and informative about the area. The homemade 3 course breakfasts are amazing and highlight local produce. Be prepared to have to skip lunch as you'll be too full! The Inn has been beautifully restored with well kept grounds. We were so comfortable we opted to stay on a second night in the Annapolis suite and left feeling as though we've made new friends, thanks again Lynn and Rod!
We just spent 2 nights in the Farmhouse Inn and highly recommend it. Rod and Lynn are wonderful hosts, nice and capable, full of good advice. The breakfasts are to die for, freshly made with local ingredients. The rooms were clean, well designed and thoughtfully set up. And the building is interesting and beautifully decorated. We will definitely go back.
My husband and I stayed after hiking Cape Split. The Farmhouse is beautifully maintained and welcoming. There are 2 porch swings that add to the ambiance of days gone by. We were in the Minas Basin room; large shower, comfortable queen bed and separate sitting room with loveseat and tv (and fireplace in winter). It was quite warm, but the room had a window air conditioner and ceiling fan, as well as windows that opened to provide a cross breeze. After a great night's sleep, we went to breakfast. There was a table set for just us two, and Lynn served us each course --- fresh blueberry scone, local yogurt with homemade granola and fruit, herbed scrambled eggs with roast potatoes and local bacon... all of this with Rod's homemade brown bread! Best breakfast! When you stay here, there is a genuine feeling of being welcomed into the past, with the right mix of modern and up-to-date. This charming B&B is a gem that should not be overlooked or missed -- we will be back!…
For any that want to experience the Valley this is your place. The hosts are wonderful people and keep the place incredibly clean! Not only this but it is a beautiful house and town that makes you feel at home the minute you walk in. To top it all off, the cooking is better than an expensive restaurant. Amazing place to stay for personal or for a business get away!
