Antico Moro is a very very pretty superior 3stars. Bus stop to Venice is at 20mt. and every 15 minutes there is a run to go and come back. We have a private parking included and we serve a good buffet breakfast.

Detailed Reviews
A wonderful hotel with very kind and responsive staff! The owner did everything possible to make our stay unforgettable!
The breakfast was abundant and very tasty, daily cleaning of the room and change of towels, good internet.
The location of the hotel is very convenient, both for a trip to Venice and for excursions to the nearby towns.
In Antico Moro you can feel the spirit of Italy! We will definitely visit again!

Quaint small hotel, near the train station. It was a very pleasant stay, from there we drove to the touristic area, it’s a bit far but nice for the price and away from the crowds. It’s more for national tourism, as the staff didn’t spoke much in any other lenguaje, but above all it was nice. I put 4 stars because the shower head was broken.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Hotel is clean and a good location if you're looking to stay just outside Venice. To go to Venice you just need to take a bus (stop just outside the hotel) & then you take another bus or tram from Mestre. (About 30/40 mins total) recommended to download the AMV app and you can pay for the tickets on this. The big grocery store is close only a 5 minute walk. Amazing gelato is also a few mins walk from the hotel.

Let us be clear, with the pandemic we are all sitting in the same boat. We booked this hotel as we had done many times before when we travelled for work to Veneto. We paid upfront. When our trip was cancelled because of the Covid Travel restrictions it was confirmed by Stefano that he understands the problem and the reservation was valid for another time. However, when we wanted to rebook we were told that it is not possible and we lost the reservation. It is stipulated in article 88 of Cura Italia that you are entitled to a refund, but my email on this was just ignored, which is the most disappointing fact out of all of them as it appears that they really don't' care about their customers. I would not recommend this hotel, they don't keep their word.

Just came back from 2 nights at this lovely hotel. Easy public transport route to Venice though we managed to get ourselves lost getting there the first night and the staff were amazing so accommodating couldn’t do enough for us. Really clean rooms nice breakfast and the loveliest most helpful staff

We booked our reservation with some hesitation about staying outside of Venice but it was a last minute reservation and Venice had no affordable rooms left. What a blessing though. Upon arriving a staff member showed us to our large and AIR CONDITIONED room. The hotel is located a few miles north of Venice but local transportation picks up in front of the hotel. We were in Venice within 15 minutes and did not have to worry about parking. The hotel is a restored vacation home and has very stylish decor. A complimentary buffet style continental breakfast is included with the room and had many more choices than we could try. In the states this would easily be a 3 or possibly 4 star hotel but the price is far below what you'd expect to pay in Venice. This place is a gem.

You are from 45 minutes (Direct bus) to 1hour (bus+tram) away from Piazzale Roma. Venice. The service is really bad. The owners are not friendly at all. The woman doesnt even say good morning and they never smile. The breakfast has got a lot of different things but unfortunately very low quality. Cheap salami and cheese. Frozen and cheap bread. Cheap yogurt, etc. The only good thing is the home made struddel. When you book directly the room they propose pizza deal at 14euros when pizzas cost directly from 9 to 11 euros! They never change the sheets during your stay. We only stayed here because all bed and breakfast in venice were fully booked but we regret we did. Dont stay here if you get the chance to stay in Venice or Murano, Murano is closer than Venice than this hotel that is located in Zelarino and not Mestre as they say. I hope with my comments I help travelers chose a better option.

Just spent the weekend at the charming Antico Moro Hotel and couldn't be happier about our choice. The hotel responded immediately to my email inquiry and sent along a map which was a big help as we were driving from Bergamo.. We arrived rather late and was relieved to find that there was a wonderful restaurant adjoining the property which was still open. What a great little place! The food was excellent and the wait staff wonderful! We loved it so much we ate there both nights. The room was spotlessly clean, warm and comfortable. By booking directly on the hotel's website, breakfast was included (not the case if you book on say,Expedia) which was very nice and beautifully presented. The hotel sells tickets for the buses (water buses as well) and offer combo tickets for 12 hr, 24, hr, 36 hr and so on.The bus stop to Venice is only a few steps from the hotel. Also, there is a supermarket within walking distance and the rooms have mini-fridges. Everyone at the hotel were friendly, helpful and spoke very good English. If you have a car, you will be glad to know there is plenty of free parking (not like some places that advertise free parking and then you find there are only four allocated spaces!) There is internet in your rm. for a small charge or you are welcome to use the hotel's computer free of charge. I would happily recommend the Antico Moro to anyone.

The hotel is in a good area of Veneto, maybe 20mins from Venice island. The hotel was lovely and clean ,the room was great, big with tv, wifi and bar fridge.
The breakfast was lovely, with a big spread of food from cereal and croissants to cakes and biscuits.
The staff were really helpful, we would certainly recommend Antico Moro!

My wife and I were here for 9 nights in October. From beginning to end, it was a delightful experience. The people who work here were friendly and helpful (and quite patient...thank you). The room and entire hotel were sparkling. The bathroom in our room was really nice. The breakfast was generous and pleasantly presented. Bus directions were gladly given and tickets arranged (a generous patience was extended to us in this by the manager and at least two others). We could go on and on. Very nice people work at Hotel Antico Moro.
What started out for us as a way to see Venice on a limited budget turned out to be - in our opinion, anyway - the BEST way to see Venice. We think we were lucky to have found this hotel and hope to return some day.
-Thank you to the manager and staff.
Michael and Shannon, Co. Galway, Ireland
P.S. Zelarino in itself is a nice place to visit and the hotel has a really, really nice restaurant/pizzeria/bar right next door.

The hotel arranged pick up for us ,it cost 40 euros, but there were 6 of us to share.I would advise you to ring the hotel(or emai) and ask him or her,he speaks ver good English and will give you lots of help with transport into Venice
Hotel hotel is 3Km to far the train station, that you take its for the Verona city.
As I remember, we took busses 15 and 6E from the airport. We had 2 very short walks (each a minute or two).
There was a booth at the airport which was staffed by nice young people who spoke English. The bus routes and such were patiently explained to us and sketched out on a piece of paper. Can’t remember the price, but I don’t recall thinking it was high.
Yes, the hotel has showers in the rooms and provides soap and shampoo. I can’t remember if it was gel soap, though.
From Treviso Airport you have to take bus line ATVO and stop at the bus stop in Mestre Corso del Popolo Banca BNL. We enclosed the time table from Treviso to Mestre. Ask to the bus driver to stop at the exately bus stop.
Wenn you are in Corso del Popolo Banca BNL in Mestre you will see Piazza XXVII October. You have to cross this square and take Via Colombo where you will find the Mestre Centre interchange of all the buses. From there Mestre Centro ( Piazzale Cialdini ) you can take bus 5E or Bus 6E to Zelarino Hotel Antico Moro.
We are in the centre of Zelarino Via Castellana, 149 after the central San Vigilio Church. We are at the opposit site of the church 100 meters after on your left side. The exately bus stop in Zelarino is at the side of Banca Intesa San Paolo.
If you like to take a taxi from Mestre to our Hotel are only few Kilometers. Taxe Talephone number is 041-5964.
We you have any other questions do not exitate to contact us. We are at your disposition.
Hi,
1. The hotel is a 25-30 minute drive/bus ride from the centre of Venice (which doesn't feel like that long). We did this trip for 5 days and it wasn't a problem.
2. I stayed at this hotel but did not arrive by cruise, so I cannot say for certain. There are always taxis available, but be aware that they are rather costly (I paid approximately 50 euros from the Marco Polo airport). You can also pay for a water taxi but these cost a couple of hundred euros, so I would avoid if on a budget.
3. Options for transportation on the mainland are either a hire car, taxi (expensive), or bus (€1.50 per bus ride, per person). Buses no not run very late into the night, however, with the last bus being between 22:00 and 23:00. When in Venice the fastest way to get around is by water boat which is €7.50 per ride, or you can pay for a day ticket from one of the ticket booths which will work out much cheaper if hopping on and off to sightsee.
The hotel staff are more than accommodating with travel requirements. They are extremely helpful and will be able to advise you on the best way to travel and to make the most of your sightseeing time.
Hope you have a lovely stay - we definitely did.
