Great place , room for improvement. Great location , the studio was great and clean, breakfast was very good.
The experience on the Italian restaurant was terrible , our order was forgotten and they did not had the courage to say until confronted . Guests on other tables that arrived after us were served before and the staff couldn’t realize it until we called their attention. The food is average and although the staff is nice and kind they don’t seem to have the necessary training and experience .
An area to pay attention and to improve is the smell and cleanness of the public bathrooms close to lobby .

Not a 4 star hotel anymore.
Used to be, but the service is not at 4 star level and employees should get more training and image awareness.
One day the room was not cleaned even after talking to reception. With small kids making a mess this is a problem. Reception did nothing and another employee said “it’s not my responsibility”.
Pool bar food is a joke at 5 star prices - do not eat there.
Animation team is great but they should be more hours available.
There’s nothing for the kids or rest of family at early night and nothing on Sundays.
Breakfast is great.

We are on our last night at the Aqualuz Troia Lagoa Hotel and Apts. Apt 1401.
Please do not make the same mistake as us.
Our check in took 50 mins and once in our suite we found dirty tables, bathroom flood damage, finger prints on mirrors, windows and the toilet flush. We went back to reception to complain or resolve but the queue at reception was so long that we went and bought cleaning items at that supermarket! The most stressful start to a holiday ever!
The hotel does not follow Covid-19 safety measures. We did not feel safe on arrival to our apartment.
Our apartment was cleaned today and our young sons blanket which he’s has since birth (which was on his bed) has been taken by mistake and is currently lost! He is upset.
We are now leaving this place one day early to somewhere nicer where they care more about their guests.

Location is excellent because there is a very large and beautiful beach walking distance, shops are meters away and the marina with different water activities is also just there. Comporta is 10’ by car and the Roman Troia ruins are at 3 kms. Excellent for families with small kids because of logistics and animation. Has very good pool, including kids and indoor.very good

The hotel is very well located, it is a pity to let everything go to the dam! They don't do any remodeling! You need everything! The rooms have separate beds that can not be combined and no one warns at the hotel when we make the Reservation! All the spoiled curtains let the light in at dawn! Bad isolation, listen to everything! The pillows are too bad! It hurts your neck and back!
The ugly pools! With the super dirty water!
R the indoor pools do not have the water heated!
Poor employees do what they can.
For the price and for 4 stars do not recommend!
It leaves much to be desired!

This is our 4th time at this establishment. Everything is certainly not perfect, there are a few points to improve, but overall it is comfortable, quiet and the staff is helpful. We were lucky enough to have a fully furnished room (tower where there is the buffet restaurant). New this year:
- if you book at one of the 3 restaurants (including the pizzeria and the buffet restaurant) for dinner, you have a preferential rate of 28 euros per person;
- if you notify before 8 p.m. that you do not want your room cleaned the next day, you are entitled to a 5 euro reduction voucher valid in one of the 3 restaurants (note: offer cannot be combined with the one above ).
We appreciated these efforts, but regretted that this was not explained more clearly upon our arrival. Do not hesitate to ask !

Terrible. Rooms shabby. No Wi-Fi access from the room and despite reporting it personally to the front desk on 3 occasions and by email to Customer Service, nothing was done. No apologies, no attempt to solve the issue. Never received feed back. After a week, still had no WiFi. General service is slow and not customer focused. Furniture in rooms is cheap and uncomfortable. Bed mattress extremely uncomfortable with unhygienic mattress cover. Eating in - and out - in Tróia is expensive for below average quality. Stay in Setubal!

I have just stayed in this apartment/suite with my daughter whilst she was playing golf nearby. On a positive note, first impressions are great, room was large with a fantastic view. Shuttle between golf course and apartment really good, we seemed to always get the same driver and he was fab.
Not so good :
I found the reception staff unwelcoming and miserable, I felt it was as if they were doing me a favour and really didn't want to be there.
If you like a hard mattress then great, but for me it was rock solid and not comfortable.
Kitchen doesn't get cleaned daily, unlike the rest of the apartment.
WiFi in room didn't work.
Toilet seat chipped therefore unhygienic.
Breakfast average/poor.
Early tee time no breakfast (even continental offered)
TV terrible reception, remote batteries dead and even though I asked never replaced.

This hotel has positive points, potential, but some points need better...
Starting by check unprepared employees, or with lack of motivation, limit themselves to indicate the room without giving information without being asked, to know how the half Pension worked, dinner and PA hours, room for meals and other questions I had to question... At the check out neither a thank you nor a hope you liked it, it was a very impersonal thing, had never happened to me in any hotel...
The common spaces are large and cozy, however if we fix some details need maintenance...
The studio sea view the bedroom had a good size and a really stunning view, had a modern air and was comfortable the toilet door and support furniture to the same needed maintenance...
As for the PA and dinner nothing to say, the options were good in both cases and the staff were very friendly, explained everything in detail and were very attentive...
The outdoor space I have no negative reviews except the lack of sun loungers and lack of civism of some guests who put the towel without being there...
For a family hotel could have an outdoor park...
A negative point was the time they took to silence the fire alarm after verifying that it was false alarm this demonstrates lack of knowledge of how the power plant works, since after verifying which cause is false the same silences in less than a minute...

Not sure for Troia but when u arrive via LIS airport should be easier and to reach Troia with a rented car in LIS.
We visited the hotel during a golftrip. So we were not in the room most of the time. Nevertheless I do not think you should spend money on the pool view (we had a room without). If you are a family of 4 you will enjoy the room we had. If you travel with children, they have a nicely separated room so they can sleep while the adults stay in the living room.If you are a party of 4 adults : be aware of the fact that the second droom is a lot smaller (bunk !). Enjoy your holiday. Hugo
