This place is suitable only for young backpackers happy to rough it. Malta itself is beautiful to visit, with the most charming and hospitable people you could wish to meet - but NOT at this place. It is hard to access, has very poor facilities and the owner very much lacks the normal social graces. If you have been used to the normal facilities on mainland Europe then you will be mortified by this place. It's awful. Tourism Malta really should step in and a) make them raise their game and b) provide alternative camp sites so that he has some competition.

Wow I did some solo camping in my life but this campsite is baaaaad. First of all, the owner tries to charge you for every little thing you can imagine. The only way to get to the closest busstop is by a 45 minute walk OR by paying the owner (of course) to drop you of at the busstop. You have to pay (of course) for a shower which turns out to be a cold one (literally). I left after two nights and he tried to make me pay for the rest of the nights I was intending to stay. I got a bit angry at that point and raised my voice and told him to forget about that, but I can imagine that some people feel intimidated by him. All together I can assure you that you'll be better off passing by this camping at top speed!!!

The owner is rude. He charged us 8 euros to the bus stop because we were a couple instead of the advertised 5 euros for the taxi service. The showers and toilets were filthy. They are only cleaned on a weekend when the maltese are there, we witnessed him on several occasions hitting his staff. there was a total of 4 staff that each lasted a day due to his abuse and walked out. he is a big rip off charged us 2 euros for 1 roll of toilet tissue. his shop prices differed from day to day depending on his mood not to mention out of date produce. we only stayed because we couldn't get our money back. the pool was filthy. his tents were full of fleas due to the stray cats a few got flea bites. he advertises a bar which he refuses to open.??? It is the worst campsite i have ever stayed at!!! AVOID AT ALL COSTS. LITERALLY

The owner is dishonest: he took €500 deposit from me on a mobile home pitch having told me it would cost 30% less than the actual cost to bring my caravan from the UK. When I cancelled because I could not afford it (I am a pensioner) he refused to return my deposit saying that 'it was not company policy' to return deposits - a pity he didn't tell me this when I was giving him the €500

we ve stayed one week and the man in charge is really stupid and have no sense of controlling a business ..... and btw hes the only staff there is in the camping site.. no pool boy... no cleaners... no nothing... and the important thing is that the man in charge is like a soldier on every customer by saying dont do that and dont doo that unbelievible. and no stable lights !!! all the camp site is controlled by a single phase current so the light is always dimming... the fan was hardly turning beacouse there was no current at all its a living nightmare

the owner runs a scam on everything from his personal taxi service to hire of a fridge which means you have to hire a electric cable from him. he even wanted 20.00€ for a camp fire! i ask you - how much is a bit of fire wood? two mile walk to the bus stop or pay the guy 5.00€. i thought the eu brought better health & safety rules - not in Malta!!!! no trees or scrubs for shade - if the wind blows expect your tent to be in the sea! the swimming pool was not in use when we visited - but i hope they will clean it before next season - it was all black like around the top, it is more of a big paddling pool than a swimming pool.

Don't do it! just don't. This is a tip, as in rubbish! full of ignorant local Maltese, who get better service and don't have to pay for it! Stuck out in a shanty town. With filthy services, ignorant, rude management and it STINKS! For £600 we have booked a week at a hotel in Malta for me, my husband, our daughter AND granddaughter, albeit self catering, a damn site better than the £1200 camping 'experience'.

terrible place - 5.00€ for a taxi to the bus stop 2 miles away - pay pay and pay again everything is a con. dirty showers, mirrors never cleaned all the time we stayed, drains smell!!!! hotel next time - camping is not a cheap holiday in malta, it is the most exspensive holiday we have had for years!

I was staying on the island in May 2012 and was considering staying at the campsite later in the year. I cycled up to the campsite to give it a check over. Am I glad I did. The place looked an awful mess. Gate was padlocked and sign said visitors were charged an entry fee. It looked as though no one was occupying it. There were loads of caravans on the site. It looked like a health hazard to me. Couldn't even see any tent pitch space. As others have stated here - this is most definitely not a place to camp. In fact to call it a campsite is an insult to all the great responsible campsites owners around the globe.
