Bungalows Vista Oasis offers a stay that elicits varied reactions from its guests. While the hotel's value is debated, with some appreciating the affordability and others dissatisfied with the food and limited English entertainment, the amenities often receive praise for their cleanliness and comfort. The atmosphere is welcoming, particularly by the pool, although daytime activities seem inconsistent. Service quality ranges from friendly to unresponsive according to guest experiences. The location's tranquility is favored, despite being a bit secluded from vibrant nightlife. Room opinions are divided, spanning from spacious and clean to basic and uncomfortably warm.

The bungalows wre fab, very clean with enough space, either a balcony or a little garden with astro turf. Entertainment was very repetitive so we got cabs out to the yumbo centre. Not ideal if you've paid all inclusive though. Food was ok we always found something to eat. Pool is cleaned everyday and again astro turfed so not a slippery as some places

Just returned from a fabulous week at the Bungalows Vista Oasis (November 23), from this budget Spanish complex, I think you get more than you have paid for. Our room was large with a double bedroom, bathroom with shower (no bath), kitchenette with small table and fridge, lounge, and large private outside space. The room was clean on arrival, and it was cleaned 3 times in the week. My expectation for this complex was that it’s not a family hotel with kid’s clubs (although families were there), and British entertainment each night, they do lay on some poolside music (not always to my tastes) but others seemed to like it (mainly Spanish, well it is Spain after all).
All the staff we spoke to, had a basic understanding of holiday English, and we always got the drinks we wanted (2 at a time per person), unlimited tea, coffee, juices, and chilled water. Reception helped us with getting taxis and the bus and pointed us to the SPAR up the road for water in the room etc.

As for the food, it was as expected basic all-inclusive, Spanish take on breakfast, continental meats and cheeses, cereals etc. Lunch & dinner, basic Spanish budget catering, with not the most expensive of ingredients. However, Hamburgers and Chips for those who need their fix, fresh salads every day, a selection of cold desserts and ice cream. Serve yourself and clear your table back to the trolly, staff cleaned tables and floors after the little ones had finished.

From our point of view, the main issue we had was with the location and where we wanted to be each night, 6 to 10 Euros each way, however, there is a free bus to the beach.
Accessibility would be an issue; the complex is built on the side of a hill. All stairs have very steep ramps, and some bungalows have steps into them, with narrow doors and no lifts. There could have been rooms that we did not see that were accessible, so would suggest checking with them before travelling.

In summary, a comfortable well-presented bungalow complex with standard Spanish catering, with helpful staff, but not with all-day kids’ programmes, comes with Spanish entertainment and not for those who do not want to travel out for entertainment (bar 11 to 11) each night. Very quiet location with very little road noise or passing traffic and, with a great view of the dunes and Maspalomas. Solid Seven from us.

Was pleasantly surprised after reading previous reviews. As a solo traveller I paid a bit more for my single room. Their bungalows are designed for self catering so have a small electric hob, kettle, fridge with a small ice box, toaster and coffeemaker but I went A/I. There is a little bit of variety in their A/I menu but generally what you get in many Spanish places. Rooms were clean but there is no air conditioning. Instead you get a fan which is good at night but after my shower I was soon wet again. Bar staff are friendly and will make almost anything you want within reason, drinks are limited to 2 at a time but you can collect for others. I never once woke up with a banging head although I did have a few!
Entertainment is a bit sparse and finishes at about 10 as the hotel is in a residential area. Bar closes at 11pm.
Pool is cleaned daily and rooms have towels replaced every 2 days although I had to ask to get my bedsheets replaced.

Sun beds are easy to get Monday to Friday but this hotel is very busy at weekends with many local people.

I liked it that much I arranged a good price with the manager and stayed another week. Generally you get what you pay for and this was at the lower end of my budget for this time of year. Thanks to the Bar staff, Simon, Edgar and 2 other lads but I’ve forgotten their names, sorry.

Honestly, worth every penny. It's a 2* and the decor and food choices reflect that, but everything else was fab! The staff were all friendly and helpful, and while the food choices were basic and minimal they were fine. They also had no problem telling me what was gluten-free at each meal, and if there weren't many choices the chef would make me some fresh fries. The pool was FAB, half heated and half not, with plenty of nice sunbeds, and no loud entertainment just a bit of music (this is NOT a party resort!). I was a solo traveller, and they put me in a villa on the far end, but it meant when sitting out on my balcony the only sound was birds in the trees which was perfect. Note there are a lot of steps, but also ramps if you know where to look. It's NOT a busy place, but perfect for a lowkey getaway and only a 7euro taxi to the bars/restaurants (although there are a few places to eat nearby and a Spar just up the road). I'll definitely be back!

I am currently still staying here on my last day today.
The positives about this hotel is the location is very close to nearby attractions, the pool area is really nice and spacious. If you get down there early enough you have the choice of around 7-8 Double beds that you can sunbathe on. The balcony of your bungalow is really nice and plenty of seats, the view from are bungalow was so beautiful over looking the whole of maspalomas. The list of positives is rather small compared to the negatives, saying this i would stay here again…it isn’t a horrible place to stay.
The negatives are there isn’t any air conditioning which will leave you sweating and over heating however a little breeze can fix this if you go outside.
There isn’t a big choice of food at all, it is pretty much the same every night. There is a very small station for food compared to other hotels that have multiple food stations with lots of choice. If you are a vegetarian then you are only getting vegetables that are all mixed together in one compartment. The slopes are massive i wouldn’t say it is very suitable for disabled people whatsoever unless you’re asking for a room that is near reception. After staying in the room for 2 days i myself started seeing ants all over the bathroom floor however i put hot water over them and where they was coming from and they soon stopped coming. When you enter your room there is an electric box beside your door and we were getting around 7 cockroaches in there and still are which makes me feel very icky. The receptionist with blonde hair is not approachable however the lady with brown short hair is lovely and welcomed me each time to the hotel.
I would stay here again however it wouldn’t be my first choice at all, it is good in a way that it’s cheap however if you aren’t wanting to get all these things wrong then i would definitely recommend spending a little more for a nicer hotel.
Thanks for reading my review!

i have just returned from a weeks break to Gran canaria and decided to try the vista oasis bungalows as the deal was a fantastic one with On the Beach.
the bungalows were spacious clean bright and the best part your own private large balcony/terrace with sunloungers and table and chairs.
pool area spacious and well designed. for the price i did not expect good food but iwas very very impressed with the quality and selection ,
very nice extra special touches during the day. sangria offered poolside and prosecco punch wth cheese and olives.
location great. big Spar supermarkets close by and shopping centre. only 5 euros to beach or into Playa Del Ingles by taxi ...could walk easily too
a big thankyou to Paco and his staff for a wonderful stay. i am a very very fussy traveller but will definitely be back at end of year.a great experience.

We have just come back from vista oasis bungalow,
lovely friendly hotel staff were extremely helpful bungalows were clean. .we went fully inclusive if your a fussy eater like me probably not the best my husband enjoyed all the food my only complaint is that it could be a little hotter. The views were amazing we walked to a lot of places nearby but there is a free bus service to the beach the taxis were very reasonable €5. There is a spar shop, just up the road and a small shopping centre ( el Tablero) about a 10 minute walk away I would highly recommend vista oasis will definitely be returning and will recommend to family and friends

Having travelled extensively both for business and pleasure, I do appreciate 5* luxury when someone else is paying for it but for me the important things are that rooms are a good size, comfortable beds, good location, some kind of balcony or terrace, good service, clean, family run. Vista Oasis meets those requirements. They are bungalows so you are not queuing for lifts, plenty of sunbeds, nice pool, reasonable bar prices, free in room safe. We just booked room only. Taxi to the beach is about 6 euros and they take credit cards and there are a coupe of free bus shuttles in the morning. Its too far from the beach for walking (in my opinion) and a steep hill coming back. My only negative comments are that they seem overly concerned about e-cigarettes even when sitting outside in the covered over area and they request that you vape along with normal smokers in the designated area. Wifi is free around the reception area but if you want stable connection in your room its 15 Euros for 1 week - and this only allows two simultaneous connections. For some inexplicable reason Google searches designate this location "Tindaya incoming" so I have reported this to google.

Visited here for a short trip with my daughter.
On arrival the hotel pictures were taken at an Angel to make it look big, nope a gravel driveway on a hill. The hotel staff English good, but do “tut” a lot at you! There’s free Wi-Fi that’s a waste of time and I ended up paying 15€ for us to each have Wi-Fi that worked. Safe costs you 9€ and to use the TV in your room you have to pay 5€ for the remote control. Pool nice but usual fight early morning for sun beds!! Food, basic and tasteless and we lived like vegetarian's as it was all swimming in grease. Free bus to beach, make sure you take a mask cause they’ll turn you away and refuse to take you if you don’t have one!
And there’s plenty of cockroaches, in the shower and under the furniture.
Don’t think we’d visit again, rather pay more and be a little more comfortable and more choice for our next holiday it’s a 2* out of 5* from us!!

The hotel is what you expect for the price in terms of cleanliness. The staff are rude. All of the entertainment (which wasn’t even every day/night) was only for the Spanish, they had bingo during the day but only called the numbers in Spanish. They do not cater for English at all! Majority of guests were Spanish and all were rude. The food was absolutely awful! The worst I’ve ever experienced! The drinks were rubbish and the bar doesn’t display what they have a available. Drinks are served in small glasses and if you want a bigger glass you have to pay! There was one receptionist in particular (a small plump blonde woman) and a barmaid (dark haired female) who were absolutely awful and had major attitude problems! I would never visit Gran Canaria again let alone this hotel! Absolute waste of money!

We were all inclusive when we stayed , I did see people paying for individual breakfasts, lunches. I am not sure if you can upgrade to the all inclusive package but be warned the menu is very limited all day. Snacks were non existent. We always go all inclusive and it was by far the weakest I have ever experienced in regards to food but the drinks menu was definitely good.
