We had a fabulous stay at this beautiful campsite which is nestled in the trees on an island on the river Semois. The campsite has a real back to nature feel, with good sized secluded pitches, a place to chop your firewood and fire pits available to have evening campfires. The bar offers a huge selection of Belgian beers and you can order freshly baked bread for the morning. We took the opportunity to do a 15km kayaking trip on the Semois which was just spectacular! The showers and toilets are very clean (just remember to take your own loo roll- it is not provided.) We had a wonderful stay and will definitely return.

Stunning views, well serviced campsite with friendly staff, lots of lovely and interesting things to do in the area, a little piece of paradise in the middle of the Ardennes. Would recommend for families, friend and couples wanting a bit of space to relax.

What a great location, on the river ideal for kayaking etc, pitch's large and flat, approach road a bit tight for large caravan/camper but that's no unusual in this area. Beware of the bugs make sure that you have sufficient insect replant. Showers on a card which is a bit unusual nowadays but we never used it all the time allotted so that was ok. We stayed for 4 nights 2 (Wednesday & Thursday ) two were prefect with just the sound of nature, Friday & Saturday were not, maybe its a cultural thing large groups going camping for the weekend drinking and talking to the early hours if that's you thing then this site is for you, if not then avoid at weekends. Hence why I say its only average.

Been here several times. Was able to book and have 3 small tents on a pitch, but now that seems to be an issue. Also there is no parking spot available, so if you plan on coming with more than 1 car you have to book a second pitch, just to park… This used to be a very nice camping, but the success has brought the service and flexibility down…

We have indeed become slightly stricter, due to the fire regulations we have to adhere to. You came to stand on one pitch with one tent larger than 5m² and 2 smaller tents and a party tent and one car and 3 motorbikes. That is a bit much for one camping pitch. I hope it was still enjoyable, despite the fact that you had to book a second pitch. kind regards

Just back from a camping there, honestly there was a smell of sewers (toilet) coming from the small river up to the tent and we did not dare to go too much in.. also quiet expensive for the quality of the service (you pay 10 euros for the booking!), and funny enough other campers do not greet or say hi, we are big campers since 20 years and we were really surprised! Pity....

We choose this site because we didn't really want anything to do except watch the children play in the river and relax. The river bubbles along gently all day and makes for the most lovely setting in the sunshine. The first day was just like that and it was perfect. The second day was cloudy but OK and the river came up trumps again. Unfortunately it rained from then on and there really is very little else to do. Not the camp site's fault of course, but once you've played boules and ping pong (which would be great in the sunshine) there isn't a huge amount to keep the children happy!

Absolutely beautiful site and having the river just by our tent with the sound of it when sleeping was perfect. Clean and quiet at night. Washing machine and dryer available. Book at reception. Nice bar area and kids play park. Snack bar serving chips and other snacks in evening. We will be returning 😊

Ok so on out stay in the island it was cold, booo! But what an amazing trip and host Louis! Louis gave us some recommendations on the Belgian beer drinking culture, a route to cycle, and a great time. 2 very late nights and a memory to never forget!

For me the only down side to the campsite is that no toilet paper or soap is provided in the communal toilets / shower block, but don't let that put you off, the space you get is massive and there is no compromise on that the owner prefer you have privacy and a little more space than making money !

We went out if season but i can see that its a great lively place great for the kids and adults alike!

Visit this place !

Large camping sites with lots of greenery.
Sanitary facilities nearby, in my opinion there are few toilets for half the campsite (building with 2 toilets, 3 showers and 3 sinks). Very neatly maintained. Works with a card that allows you to shower for x number of minutes, so you can consciously use the minutes. Water immediately hot. Personally, it would be nice to have a choice of a pass for two people, each with a separate pass, because with one pass you cannot take a shower at the same time.
Sandwich service perfectly arranged with a note in a letterbox before 5 p.m.
Delicious beers in the cafe.
Nice playground for the kids, but a HUGE irritating beep in the swing (very high-pitched sound, I thought for a week that it was a beep to keep vermin away from the waste, last day I found out it was the swing).
Beautiful walking routes in the area.
Nice to fish on the river.
You can light a fire (from scratch of course), which is very atmospheric and is only allowed at a few campsites, so it is unique! Plus point!
