Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We had a very small room that overlooked a row of houses, not cozy, but the bathroom was very spacious.
It is very pleasant to sit in the lounge.
It's a shame about the very poor breakfast, there wasn't even an egg.
In the evening the food is very tasty there, but still pricey.

Very pleasant stay (as part of a stay organized by my walking club for nearly thirty people) in this hotel where time seems to have stood still. Excellent dinner, perfect breakfast and the kindest welcome from the "boss" who keeps an eye on everything.....and who has to work around thirty hours a day?! In short: A BIG THANK YOU!!!

Let's start by saying that this hotel reminded me of hotels I stayed in all over Europe some 40 years ago. In a greatly homogenized Europe, this is not necessarily a bad thing. So, the hotel is old, the floors creak, some ceilings are low, the elevator is tiny and the rooms, in some cases, are too. Some of the furniture is showing its age, the TV isn't the best, and the baths are adequate but not outstanding. The housekeeping is excellent, and the room and linens were immaculate. I have attached photos of the room under the gables that overlooked the river.

We used Bouillon and the hotel as a base to explore Luxembourg, the Bastogne area, Sedan and all the way down to Verdun. We were there for 5 nights. We liked the fact that Boullion has an old world feel to it, the folks are nice and the town is quiet at night.

The hotel has an excellent dining room and the included breakfast was a nice spread of meats, cheeses and breads. What won us over though, was the staff. They were limited in English but charming and courteous at all times. We got to know them and they seemed to enjoy having us as longer-term guests. Made for a nice homey feeling when we came in at night!

I'm sure that the Best Western across the street is a bit more polished, but we liked our accomodations and view of the river just fine. There are several good restaurants along the river on both sides and we even found some excellent Chinese (!) food there one night when we wanted a change. This is a hotel we would return to. It felt good to be back in setting reminiscent of a Europe that is vanishing too rapidly.

Stopping at the hotel restaurant completely by chance, on the road from France to Liège... You can directly feel the family side and the charm of the place is adorable. Our piece of meat was delicious, and the accompaniments too! Cooked vegetables and real fries. We also recommend it for the friendliness of the staff.

Set on the road just before the tunnel and across the road from the river running through Bouillon, this is a Family run hotel that punches above its weight.

Rooms are all unique and old worldly comfortable. Clean, functional and charming probably describes this hotel. The staff are so very polite and really to try to make your stay as comfortable as possible.

Dinner was delicious as was breakfast the following morning.

You are right in the heart of Bouillon yet you can relax on the pavement terrace without a care in the World.

Lovely

We spent one night here during a late anniversary trip through France, Belgium, Luxembourg, and Germany. Yes, the rooms and the elevator are small, but you're in Belgium! Enjoy the ambiance. The location was beautiful and the staff were so friendly! The room was clean and it had a hair dryer in the bathroom and a small refrigerator stocked with beer, water, and other beverages. What more could you really need? We walked down the street along the river and then had fantastic pizza for dinner. Afterwards we enjoyed an after dinner drink in the bar. We had the lounge area to ourselves. Be sure to look at the shell art they have on display (if you don't know about shell art from WWII, look it up. Very interesting). The breakfast was not spectacular, but it was certainly adequate. The town is so beautiful on the river, just enjoy! i would go back tomorrow if I could.

Stayed here for a week whilst on a motorbiking trip. Friendly staff (a basic understanding of french would be beneficial to guests) and excellent continental breakfast. Our room was pleasant enough albeit a little dark and a proper shower would have been nice. Free wifi but not a great connection. All in all though we had a very enjoyable stay.

We stayed just the one night here on our way to the Black Forest on a Motorbike tour. Bouillon is a really charming town, very pretty.
The hotel is in a nice spot just near the river. . . . . You could call it quaint but I would rather say it's just plain dated. The twin room I shared with a friend was not nice, and had the tiniest shower room with a dreadful chocolate brown carpet on the floor . . . . And up the walls!!!!!

The mattresses were at least 9" shorter than the beds which meant my feet were hanging off the end.
We laughed . . . . But I wouldn't say it was much fun really.

when we arrived, there was only the 1 staff member around, and she was outside! in order to get to your room, you have to walk through the restaurant to get to the lift - as i am aware there aren't any stairs! i don't like lifts, and it was quite small!!! the restaurant is a 4 star and looks it, however, once you step into the lift, it goes downhill...upon the lift doors opening on our floor, we were greeted with stuffed animals, one of which was an owl, which reminded me of that film 'the fourth kind'...which wasn't nice lol. the corridors were dark, as was the room, and very very cold! like no-one had been in for a long time. the decor is dark and makes you feel you've stepped back in time to the 1930s! the bed was very uncomfortable, and not in the best place in the room - a little too big, i banged my leg numerous times!!! the bathroom door isn't a door, but a sliding...i don't even know what it is! it doesn't lock, and the bathroom is even colder, with a heater thats only programmed to be on 15 minutes. we dumped our stuff and went straight to the pub!!! it was needed! and this was the most expensive hotel on our trip, but the worst in our opinion. Bouillon is a nice place, but i'd stay elsewhere next time!

We booked a suite for a reasonoble price. When we arrived at the hotel there was no one in the reception; it rook us more than 10 minutes to find someone in the building! We were shown different rooms; they all looked as if they were not used for à longtime; they smelled old and mouldy; the bathrooms and showers were built in later but very simply. We left very disappointed.
