Clean and well maintained. plenty of parking space. Staff are excellent, friendly and helpful. Wifi is not great - it works for internet browsing, but if you need teleconferencing, it's hit and miss.
Not a lot to do in the immediate area, just the Chinese restaurant und a few bars and supermarkets. But it's a short drive to Ludwigsburg or even Stuttgart for work.

A nice place, this. No bells or whistles, granted, but I'd rather stay here than many a chrome and glass high street palace.
We arrived after reception had closed - but the key safe recognised our booking code and dropped out the room key just like they said it would.
Our balcony twin room was comfortable and spotlessly clean. And each bed had a gang of four power sockets to charge more phones, tablets and laptops than you are probably carrying.
The continental breakfast bar was ample, diverse and regularly re-stocked with cereal, meats, cheeses, eggs, fruit, breads, jams (including home-made preserves) and other goodies to get you going.
But almost best of all was the friendly welcome from the staff of this small, personal hotel with charming people and the especially lovely Deborah who seemed to be setting a model for efficiency, helpfulness and service - all at once.
The Alka is a great place to stay, at a fair price, within 10 minutes or so from the railway station and only little further from the fascinatingly restored medieval town of Bietigheim - an atmospheric, historic, pedestrianised haven of timbered buildings, fine eating places and traditional Germanic bars.

It was a pleasant stay. There is a lack of restaurants options close by, but several Option 5 to 10 minutes away by car.
The room is ok although a bit small. Watter in the bathroom has only sufficient power but acceptable.

Well located hotel. Suitable for people looking for calm. Friendly staff. Rooms are clean and well equipped. But, the blankets are too small and the heater is not efficient enough to heat the room. But globally it is a good address in Bietigheim.

The hotel is very clean, the staff lady I met at breakfast is very friendly and prestative. What they can improvise is on better beds, because at least, at the room I slept, was this metal bed that every time you move it makes annoying sounds. The internet is also not good, even my phone games was blocked on hotel’s filters.

I stayed in Alka hotel for two weeks in a business trip. I really enjoyed my stay. The hotel was very clean and quiet. The staff was very friendly, especially the owner. Delicious breakfast, good WiFi, close to Bietigheim station and surrounded by all restaurants and stores you might need. I couldn't ask for more. If I visit Bietigheim again, I'll definitely choose Alka.

I was in Alka just for three nights. It was very pleasant stay. Rooms are spacious and clean. Breakfast could be better, more versatile. Very close to main rail station and about 20 minutes of walk to city center.

Room was clean and pretty spacey. I had a double room without the balcony (this was the only thing missing I think). But it was cold during my stay, so I wouldn't have used the balcony much, anyway. The room had all needed amenities, I liked the size of the bathroom which was pretty big for that size of a room. The location is 10-15 minutes walk from the train station and about 25-30 minutes from town center which is pretty good. Overall I had a pretty quite and peaceful stay.

As title said.. not bad.. very clean, hotel premises and rooms especially. But, i have never been before, in room where shower cabin is 50cm next to my head, and where toilet is not physically separated from bedroom, literally I only had 1m high cane wall...

The complete staff was very kind and friendly. The professionalism they put in their daily work was tangible (room clean, very good breakfast, great service). The facilities are very good (mattress neither too hard nor too soft)...just don't hesitate to request a second duvet since in the whole of Germany the duvet are single although the bed is king or queen size ;-)
