The hotel was renovated on 2010 (formely Estalagem dos Zimbros). Modern decor, spacious rooms, huge beds, great view over Meco's beach (choose a room at the corner). Nice swimming pool. Good breakfast. Quiet (isolated) you need own transportation. Good value

Only about 1 hour to Lisbon airport. I didn’t have the opportunity to see any of the area as I went directly to the hotel and returned to Lisbon the following day. The hotel seems to be in the countryside.

The young staff were extremely friendly and helpful throughout the hotel.

The ground floor room was spacious, overlooked the swimming pool, which looked like it had plenty of space and sunbeds.

The room and bathroom were very comfortable. There was a fridge and a safe in the room too.

My only comments for improvement would be that there was little light coming from the bedside lights (or at that side of the room), the bedside rugs were a slip hazard as they ‘slid’ on the polished floor and the shower tray was also very slippery (and ‘bouncy’?!).

Breakfast was continental and had adequate choice.

Hotel is completely isolated, situated on the top of "Cabo Espichel". The Hotel is modern with all **** facilities.
The Hotel has a wonderfull view!
You can walk to Santuário de Nossa Senhora do Cabo Espichel), built extremely close to the edge of the tall cliffs. It's 7.5 km far and it took you about an 1 hour 30 mins walking.

Rated as a 4* hotel. In desperate need of upgrading and investment. Looking shabby and bathroom fittings delapidated.
Breakfast very poor with cold meat and cheese selection curled and sweaty.
Visited mid October. Almost no other guests.
Rooms a good size but in-room lighting insufficient.
Rustling plastic mattress protector.

At first I was impressed with modern looking decoration and amazing view.
However everything else is just bad. The entrance ha no ramp for suitcases, so I had to carry 2 big bags and climb almost 10 stairs. The breakfast was horrible. The eggs and the sausages seemed like the were cooked by a 3 years old, the juice tasted bad, and i can go on and on.
The room was great except for the fact that it was full of ants and spiders. That was what put me really off. Its unacceptable for a 4 star hotel. Moreover, when confrontes the staff refused to change my room because the only room available was more expensive.
I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. You can find better 2 star hotels

On arrival the receptionist was indifferent boarding on rude. As tourists we requested recommendations of places to eat
and visit. This seemed to be too much trouble from this staff member. Yes we did have Triposo but in all places visited before we had local advice freely given.
Our view was of the road, room was small and bathroom most unappealing - mould, leaking shower and tiny space.
Don't let their location description win you over - views of the Atlantic Ocean are way in the distance, the hotel is situated on a windy place and far from town with inadequate public transport. We found it difficult even getting a taxi to come out to the hotel.
On a good note was the breakfast and there were some lovely local restaurants and beaches that we found.
My recommendation would be to stay in town where you would get so much more for the same money!

If you have your own wheels this is an excellent option to stay while visiting Sesimbra and the surroundings.
Rooms are modern, there is a killer view from the breakfast terrasse, a spa, sauna, pool, pool table an well garnished bar. Definitely recommended!

Excellent hotel if you have transportation and are looking to stay outside Sesimbra.

Very clean, recently renovated and everything is in excellent condition. The staff are friendly and helpful. The pool and outdoor area are nice, and the jacuzzi is a great option.

Excellent food options in Aldeia do Meco close by. No need to go into Sesimbra unless you would like to.

I know this hotel for a long time. It has been through bad and worse phases. It was recently sold and completely renewed into a decent 4 star, with a 4 star price. First of all, it is not where the map shows it: some show it inside Sesimbra, others right at the tip of the Cabo Espichel. Neither; halfway, on the N 379, going to the cape, near N 38.4416 W 9.1730. Secondly, the previous bad reviews, with which I also agree, are no longer valid, as the hotel is now virtually new -- see photos; it is now a hotel like any other. The only thing that still bothers me is that you can't get a lunch; you'll have to drive to get one.

Very good breakfast, kind Stuff, big rooms, nice views but:
- very loud ventilation, so that you nearly can't sleep
- toilet is running
- the number of the reception does not work
- furniture needs to be renewed!
It has more Potential! The location is very nice.
