Detailed Reviews
We spent four nights in this property ,having arrived from a well known and expensive five star hotel in the Algarve ,within moments of our rival it was obvious we had made a good choice . The property is located on the sea front a short walk from a variety of restaurants , attractions and beaches. The hotel is well presented in a modern deco style . The Check-in was very efficient and friendly with assistance given with parking and baggage .our room (103) was a similar deco style , was very clean and as throughout the property strict adherence was given to the coved 19restrictions with evidence of the room being sanitised and sealed prior to our occupation. Sleep quality was very good as was noise insulation . The bathroom was adequate with medium quality towels and toiletries .other facilities including connectivity T V etc were studs factory there is not however a tea or coffee station .The complement breakfast is not outstanding but is more than adequate. There is a roof top pool with removal roof depending on the weather , there is a small gym equipped by techno gym .Finally the staff are a pleasure to deal with being very friendly an professional as usual there are always some standouts in this case that is definitely all the reception staff who were far nicer than anyone we encountered in our previous five star hotel.

This is my 4th stay at the Sana, and whilst the bedrooms are as good as ever, especially the wonderful bed, and the staff fantastic, I feel I must point a couple of things.
1) the breakfast whilst beautifully presented with a big variance of items, they were all at best luke warm, (the beans seemed to have come straight from the tin)
2) The price of drinks especially Gin is extortionate . 10Euro for a 40ml measure of Gordons is way way over the top. This gives a gross return of 189Euros from a 12euro bottle!
If you go 30mt from the Hotel to the Music Society bar, a free pour of Gordons and tonic is 5 Euro for a big hefty measure, or go to Cantinha Regina round the corner where its only 3.50 Euro.
If you opt for a sea view room, prepare for noise outside on Saturday nights, (it was 4am before the local yobs finally went quiet, I must ask why the night porter did nothing about it)
Still its a great hotel, and if I return to Sesimbra it will be to the Sana.

We recently stayed in the Sana Sesimbra Hotel for 3 nights. From the moment we arrived at reception to check-in the staff couldn’t have been any more friendly. They were always very informative and willing to help. The hotel is situated beach side, with sunshine from early morning to the evening sunset. The view from the sea front rooms is spectacular. Rooms are spotless, the bathrooms are functional but as mentioned earlier the view of Sesimbrian life below is so relaxed and chilled. Thoroughly relaxing and enjoyable. Thank you to all the staff, we’ll definitely be back….

The best of the hotel is the location!
The room furniture is old and the pillows are big, and the quality of the material is bad!
We hadn’t receive any info about safety procedures.
The breakfast room was crowded and people could touch in plates, cups, etc etc.
the garage -2 level has an awful acess!

I spent a weekend at Sana with my girlfriend. We didn’t have a good experience.
1) the breakfast is very limited for a 4 star hotel that charges 100+ a night. Aside from standard eggs, mushrooms and cheese, there are very limited options. Also, they bring very limited quantities and hence people almost have to fight over food.
2) the staff is not helpful. For instance, we book 2 nights in different rooms and given that we arrived late we asked to go to the second room directly. They said it was not available. It happened that the first room they gave us didn’t have a working aircon and after this, the second room miraculously became available.
3) hotel charges you $12 per night. Mind blowing. If you park in front of the hotel on the street by the ocean, and you don’t pay the fee and get a fine, it amounts to $8. Ridiculous.
Very poor experience and won’t go back for sure.

This hotel is located directly across from the beach and caters to beach goers and families. if the beach is too noisy or crowded, there is a rooftop pool with access to a cafe/bar. However, early arrival is advised because chaises are limited and smokers seek out this space. The breakfast buffet is extensive with self-serve toast/waffle and coffee stations. Our room had no working a/c and we could not move to another room until the next day because the hotel was fully-booked. Management was apologetic and we were satisfactorily compensated.

City hotel, strong room point with sea views, spectacular view, very good breakfast. Good outdoor jacuzzi, very small sauna room, which meets the necessary requirements for its people, a Turkish that does not work, and a swimming pool that is large but that should be cleaner. For a four-star hotel with a price of five, more care is required in cleaning the pool. Also a small repair I don't think fair a guest who in that place has no place to park the car have to pay during the stay the inner park. And the only hotel I've been to so far that does.

The sound of the waves lulled us to sleep every night. I would suggest being on a higher floor with a sea view and a balcony. At the end of each day, we sat on the balcony with a glass of wine and enjoyed the people watching. The roof top pool offers a stunning view. We are not pool people but a visit to the pool is a must. The breakfast included was simple fare but very good and had enough of a selection that we were happy all week. The evening meal (if you get half-board) is exceptional. The chef takes great care to prepare a many coursed meal of superior ingredients. We were always surprised and pleased at every offering. The breakfast and the evening meals are served either inside or outside.
The staff from the front desk to the restaurant staff was kind and attentive. We felt all our needs were meet and then some. During the weekend you can hear the fun everyone is having if you leave your hotel room window open. Fortunately, the hotel is on the fringe of the action and the noise was not a problem. Outside the hotel we were steps away from a long beach and the board walk. The beach has soft sand and is a great length to take a walk on. The sea is a bit cold but it did not seem to stop anyone from enjoying it. The town itself is very clean and has many well priced local restaurants with fabulous food. Loose yourself wandering all the side streets and stop into the local stores, small cafes and local restaurants.

The views and location are lovely, the room was perfectly functional although it had no coffee/tea facilities. Parking is possible in the bowels of the building (two floors underground) but be careful, the turns driving down are extremely tight for anything bigger than a Smartcar! Coming back up is easier... The rooftop pool is heated and has great views and there are plenty of sun loungers on a couple of different terraces.
We genuinely liked the Espardarte Restaurant. The breakfast buffet was tasty and extensive. We had also planned to have an a la carte meal there on our first night but on having a look around the evening buffet we decided to go for it as again, it was extensive and tasty (and very reasonable for 30 Euro including a glass of wine). All in all, an enjoyable stay.

+1
We're a family of 3 adults and 2 children and stayed at Sana sesimbra for 4 nights with half board. We rarely write reviews, the exception being bad ones..eheheh.. So, we've been at several hotels in Portugal, Europe, Asia, USA and Africa and our stay at Sana Sesimbra has been one of our top 3 stays ever. The place is unique, in a superb location, with excellent service and the food is not 4 stars..it's 6 stars (check the pics). We felt at home and not in another 'strange' hotel. Every staff member went the extra mile in making sure our stay was impeccable. Also, the director, Mr. Victor Cópio personally comes and salutes every guest and hears about any issues they have...a rare approach in hotel management nowadays. We'll definitely return and are happy to strongly recommend a stay at Sana Sesimbra. We are already missing going to sleep hearing the gentle sound coming from the waves. Be sure to try it out, it will be memorable.

Hi I hired a car takes about 1 hour
If I remember rightly all the rooms have a fab sea view as it’s literally opposite the beach. To double check email them or contact them via there FB page. Great hotel and great location.
