Detailed Reviews
We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights at early September 2020.
On the positives the hotel had great room with a small “backyard” with pool view. The staff was very friendly and they have a shuttle that drives you to the near beach, which comes handy.
On the down side, mostly I would believe due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the spa was close and the breakfast, although delicious, the logistic was not ideal. They have the standard buffet, but we have to have a hotel staff to go with you through the buffet to serve your choices so we do not have guest touching everything. Although I understand what they were aiming for, that model is over complicated, creates unnecessary waiting time and I would say is uncomfortable to have someone to serve you.. you feel pressured to select what you want as you know there are more people in line.
I would suggest a more a la carte model, leaving some pre-set basket with some goods at each table and having people to choose their breakfast more calmly and enjoy their morning time which for me is one of the best part of being in a hotel like this. Another detail to be noted is that the room phone was not working, so to reach the reception or ask for room service we had to call the hotel, not a headache but a small touch. Further I would suggest the hotel to have free parking for guest. Parking around meant in some days a bit of driving to find a spot.
Overall the stay was very nice, we might come back after the pandemic once I can serve my own breakfast :)

opened just two weeks ago, this property is a welcome addition to an up and coming beach town. The property is divided into four separate buildings each around a very large, beautiful swimming pool. It's a fifteen minute walk to town and the beach or a short five minute drive. A complimentary full breakfast is included in the rate and it's served by the most wonderful staff, managed by Angelo, who, as well as serving the pool area during the day, and dinner service in the evening, are the hardest, and most attentive I've ever experienced. I would like to personally thank Tania, Tiago, Guilherme, Beatriz, Sara, Viveiros and anyone I might have missed. Again, Angelo, it was a pleasure to meet you and we will return to the Four Points by Sheraton

This hotel was excellent in every way. The hotel itself is brand new & gorgeous, and there is ample space to play in the beautiful pool & relax on hotel grounds (which are spotless! My room has a balcony that provides a pool & ocean view, so beautiful! The staff are SUPER friendly and go out of there way to treat you like royalty. The town of Sesimbra is my favorite in all of Portugal, super cute, super walkable, amazing restaurants, all situated directly on a beautiful beach. It is a short walk (5-10 minutes) from the hotel to town. Also tons of free parking, and the restaurant is excellent!!! Can't say enough good things about this place!

The new Sheraton in Sesimbra is a beautiful building, ideally located, that will certainly provide lots of amenities and attractions in a post-covid era. Its restaurant was one of the few ones opened on New Year's Day in Sesimbra. We decided to try the brunch advertised at Euros 35 per person. The prevailing covid related precautionary measures imposed that the service be terminated by 1pm. We were consequently requested to show up early, namely around its inception at 11.30am. Breakfast was served in the same room until 11am. We arrived around 11.40am but the restaurant was still occupied by breakfast guests. We were asked to wait standing until guests left and the waiters cleaned and disinfected the tables and set up de brunch menu... We were seated at a long table, of which only half had been cleaned for us. The rest of the table was left with its crumbles and stains from the prior occupants. The floor was also left dirty. Then started the chaos. The staff was extremely gentle and meant well but in the absence of a proper system in place, every staff member was serving every guest and ended up serving no one properly... The menu was a buffet, but because of covid no guest was allowed to touch the buffet and needed to be served by a staff member. Even though there were not that many guests, we ended up waiting to be served. We ordered coffees that were forgotten 2 or 3 times, the same with the eggs. We received the tomato, sausage and mushrooms meant to accompany the eggs some 30 minutes before the eggs arrived. As guests, we can only suggest to the restaurant managers to either discontinue the brunch, as not applicable in a covid environment, or to adopt a system that would rationalize staff and guests moves and satisfy everyone. First of all, breakfast should terminate earlier in order to give more time to the staff to clean and prepare the restaurant room before the arrival of the brunch guests. Secondly, one staff member should be dedicated to a single or at most 2 tables and be entirely responsible for that/those tables, helping the guests at the buffet and serving drinks or eggs at the table. We were also disappointed by the lack of originality and diversity of the brunch dishes.

Stayed in 2 bed suite, lovely view of pool and sea.
Beds comfortable and room was clean.
Considering this is a new hotel there are already signs of wear and tear and poor workmanship.
Bathroom shower tray seal was mouldy, toilet seat was loose, cracks in sink.
Tiles in living room floor were starting to raise, not real tiles only plastic lino so again very poor.
Blinds in bedroom had obviously gotten wet and had marks on them. Our room had a €450 per night price tag so definitely did not meet expectations.
Pool area was really nice and pool itself was lovely. Supposed to collect towels each morning but people started to exchange their towels the night before and started reserving their sun beds !!! Pool was very busy in afternoon.
Snacks from pool bar were good and tasty, and priced as you would expect from a Sheraton hotel. Drink variety was good, however €10-15 for a cocktail in a plastic glass by pool.... there was no consistency, one drink served nicely with garnish etc, next drink served in tiny plastic cup with no garnish and half the size !!!
Great breakfast, hot and continental, omelettes made to order, lots of variety including muffins and pastel de Natas ! ( Delicious). Staff very helpful.
Covid precautions in place, everyone wearing masks and gloves when getting their food. Big queues in the morning for breakfast between 9-10:30 which then generates queuing around buffet area and ended up being a bit of a free for all.
Be warned, this hotel is at top of steep hill. 10-15 min walk down to beach. They provide a taxi shuttle service, we tried to book it 4 times and it wasn’t available !
Lots of facilities still not open, kids club, spa etc and I am guessing still not at full capacity so they still have time to get everything right.
Overall, a very pleasant, relaxing stay. Lots of lovely restaurants in the town and beaches close by.
Worth a visit but a hefty price without the expected luxury and service.

Staying here now, while I wrote this review. I got my room at this hotel at a very reasonable rate almost cheap, so I was not expecting very much. This hotel is absolutely fantastic. The pool is absolutely beautiful overlooking the sea in the background. The room is incredibly clean and well maintained, I hope they continue with that as a lot of hotels tend to age quite quickly after four or five years, but this hotel still almost feels new.
It is worth paying a bit more money to have one of the bigger rooms overlooking the pool and the sea with a balcony. The restaurant menu is not particularly extensive, but I think that is a positive as it means that all the dishes are very well prepared, the food was simply delicious and well priced for an international hotel.
At last a proper gym, it’s the easiest and cheapest thing to get right to invest in some decent equipment, a set a free weights etc. and that’s what you get here, a proper gym! It could do with a bit more equipment, some bars and weight plates, but there is enough to have a completely proper workout as is.
I actually can’t find anything to fault. The staff are delightful, the rooms are beautiful (not nice, they are ‘beautifully’ put together) they are big and clean, the food is excellent, the pool has quiet areas so you aren’t surrounded by masses of kids. The setting is delightful. I have read some negative reviews on this hotel, and I just don’t get it, would I stay here again, 100% and have recommended it to a number of my friends as an inexpensive but very well run hotel.
Well done to all the staff and management!

We stayed here for 3 nights. I knew before booking that it was up a steep hill and not much around but I wanted somewhere to just chill out and not do anything.
We were upgraded to a pool view room and to honest I would pay extra to have it as it’s nice to sit on the balcony and watch the world.
The rooms were very spacious but the bathroom was a big let down. We had a baby with us so it was difficult to try wash her.
The fridge is tiny so if you plan on bringing a few bits be warned.
The pool area is just amazing but the pool isn’t heated and was absolutely freezing.
Breakfast had a lot of choices but got very busy after 9am. They provide a lunch menu until 3pm which was ok but dinner is only a buffet at €25 so we decided to walk into the village where there is a great selection but the walk back up Is tough.
The place is lovely but with a few changes it could be an amazing place.

In most ways, this is a really nice hotel and we enjoyed our stay. It’s modern and well decorated, and we found all staff to be friendly and helpful. We had a pool view room which was spacious and clean (perhaps let down slightly by the bathroom, which didn’t look/feel as nice as the rest of the room). I’d recommend paying a little more for the rooms with a view, as it meant the balcony looked into the main pool area / had a sliver of sea view. There were other rooms in our block that faced the other way and had cement patios that looked onto a cement wall. Each time we passed I was glad of our choice!
The hotel is about a 15 minutes walk from the beach and restaurants, and it is quite a hilly walk. Even when the beachfront was extremely busy, on leaving the front we found the streets up to the hotel were often deserted and with limited lighting.
We enjoyed breakfast at the hotel restaurant - good selection and quality. We ate at the restaurant one night, which turned out to be a buffet dinner (this hadn’t been clear - the website suggested it was a la carte). I didn’t think this was good quality food, but I am not a fan of buffet dinners and had the hotel been closer to other restaurants I think we would have gone somewhere else.
I’d recommend the hotel for anyone looking for a relaxing break in Sesimbra, with caveat that it is a bit away from the buzz of the beach and restaurants.

First thing: the hotel‘s location is a bit far off and to get to the beach, one has to walk 20 minutes. They offer a shuttle but it is a bit chaotic; it is nearly always fully booked (no surprise, a huge hotel and only a car for one stay!) and it happened that another couple and we booked at the same time.
The breakfast buffet is also a bit chaotic and just too small for the amount of people staying. Additionally, there is a lot of plastic waste, as all guests are required to wear plastic gloves at the buffet (Due to Covid). However, the breakfast had a lot to offer.
The room was nice & clean, the pool and the gym rather small considering the size of the hotel.

Friendly and helpful staff. Pool view room was large, comfortable and quiet allowing for some great sleep. The room designers could have taken a bit of space out of the bedroom area to expand the bathroom however as it was not the most spacious. Having to keep moving the bathroom door to get in/out of the shower was a nuisance.
Very large TV in the room with a good number of English speaking channels.
Mini fridge comes stocked with water & soft drinks which are complimentary. Two bottles of water are also provided each day at no charge.
Car park under the hotel has plenty of parking, is easily accessible and free!
Breakfast is included and has plenty of choices, from a chef cooking omelettes to order to fresh, delicious pastéis de nata.
The hotel is located at the top of a hill so a good way to work off a meal in town. There is a car shuttle service however if needed.
