On entering we had to sanitize our hands then had temperature taken before going in. Food good, taste with a good portion from a good choice of menu, plenty of dishes to choose from. Staff polite. Can't really say a lot more.
Ate in the restaurant here which was very busy but worth the wait and the walk up hill from the boat stop. We had lake sardine pasta and the best zuchine and prawn linguine ever. Fresh local wine all at a good price. We sat on the terrace with lovely views of lake Garda. Local run and very friendly.
Another 2 weeks in Paradise. Hotel Al Rio Se. Staff are amazing, rooms clean as a whistle. The is food all very fresh and made to order. The views are stunning and will stay with you for a lifetime. Wonderful family run hotel. We shall return.

Hotel Al Rio Se is a small hotel (not B&B as it is categorized in TripAdvisor) set in a stunning location just outside Limone centre. The hotel has a small but well-kept swimming pool, a nice restaurant and a beautiful garden stretching down to the lake, where the hotel has its own (stone) beach and sunbeds. We arrived by the high-speed ferry from Garda and walked up from the centre which was only a few minutes (but quite steep). The hotel restaurant is nice - not fantastic but the best we found around Garda lake. They claim to use many ingredients from their own garden. The service was good, although a bit slow on busy nights. Limone is beautiful, clinging to the mountain side, but of course very touristy like most places around Garda lake. We had the corner suite, which had a large balcony with a magnificent view to the lake. However, it is not really a suite, since it is just one average-sized room. Travelling with children, I booked a suite because I expected a separate room for the kids to sleep, like a suite normally has, while this suite is really just an ordinary room with a better balcony and view. The other main problem for us, visiting in August during a very hot period, was the the A/C was not functional. It was old and clearly past its expiration date, and had a cooling effect so minimal that it was barely of any more use than a simple fan (the temperature in our room was hardly below 30 degrees at any time). The first night we got to stay in another suite in a newer building, which had a modern fully-working A/C, but the room was only available the first night. Breakfast was OK, the highlight for the kids was the orange-squeezing machine. However, we missed something cold to drink in the heat, at least some cold water would be nice. To sum up, this is a beautiful and well-kept hotel (just need to replace the old A/C units!), with a nice restaurant and private access to the lake. For the premium price we paid, however (€275/night), the hotel failed to fully live up to our expectations given the problems mentioned above.…
