We recently spent a week in this lovely hotel. We had been to Limone for a day some years ago when staying elsewhere on the lake and really liked it. We had not had a holiday in 23 months because of Covid and this hotel was just what we needed. The staff were so welcoming and friendly, one waiter told us we were the first English speaking guests this season. Our room had the most wonderful view over Lake Garda, and was very well serviced every day. The swimming pool area was spotlessly clean, with a nice pool bar for lunch. Food was all buffet style, (except the pool bar) we were half board, people wore their masks walking around the restaurant and indeed the rest of the hotel and there were plenty of hand sanitisers. Great choice of food for both breakfast and dinner, plus free wine and beer with dinner. Just a short walk to Limone Centro to get boats to other places on the lake and of course, many places to buy lovely Italian icecream! I can safely say that we will return to the Hotel Splendid Palace.…
The hotel offers a super view over the northern part of Lake Garda. The rooms are spacious and well equipped. The breakfast buffet is excellent. The bar and restaurant are also recommendable. We had our eBike with us. There is a lockable bicycle room. Excursions to the north (Riva) are feasible without a car. A ferry takes us directly to the east side of the lake. A car is only necessary for a trip to the south (ferry is too complicated in terms of travel times and bike transport options).
This hotel is absolutley perfect. It is in the ideal location in Limone. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. Breakfast on the balcony overlooking the lake is something i will never forget. Thankyou for an amazing experience. Hopefully we will be back one day.
We were here end September/beginning Oct. Had not booked anything as we thought plenty of space at this time of year, but in fact choices were limited. We looked at 5 others before coming to Splendid Palace. Were wanting 4 nights, they only had 2 but we were so impressed we took that anyway. We then stayed a third night when it became available. On the face of it at €160 a night it was more expensive than the alternatives but in fact with half-board included it was good value. The evening meal buffet was easily the best of this style we have ever had. The hotel being full probably helped this, but the choice of interesting dishes was excellent, and beer and wines included, so one could start with a beer or wine as aperitif, soup, crudites, antipasto, fish course, pasta course, main course, delicious dessert, choice of cheeses, and then coffee. Our meals took a while! Breakfast not quite up to the same standard but still good. Our room was comfortable with a balcony and lovely views. We used the indoor pool several times. Only negative really is that both indoor and outdoor pools are a bit shallow for swimming, presumably for safety as there's no life-guard. The indoor pool is heated but not very much. When we were there most guests were part of German tour groups and as we don't speak German not much conversation. Location is handy for Limone village and the ferries. Parking no problem.…
Splendid name and a splendid hotel. The food was very good for half board and free wine made it even nicer. The staff were helpful, polite and on the ball with service. The actual town itself was lovely. There were plenty of excellent bars and cafes to eat, drink and watch the world go by. The ferry service negates the need for a car as it runs to all the main areas and runs very promptly. A walk up the mountains at Limone is lovely - just make sure you have the right shoes on for the walk. The one “must do” is the ferry to Malcesne and a trip up the cable car. The views from the top are exceptional and there are some great paths to walk around and with every corner the views change. All in all a wonderful place to visit for a relaxing and pleasurable holiday
