Where do I start... We are lucky enough to be very experienced travelers, we've seen lots of places throughout the years and we also fell in love with Greece - we've visited this beautiful country 20+ times. However, I can safely say that this hotel is the best one yet - and I doubt there are hotels that will take its place, at least in our opinion.
We've arrived there on the first day after people were able to return to Lindos given the wildfires situation and the staff has been taking really good care of us, we felt safe at all times. I'd like to point out their dedication and willingness to make you feel the best you've ever felt.
Probably the best part of this hotel is the food at the buffet restaurants. I have never, in my life, had the pleasure to eat such good food. My plate was extremely full after every visit to the buffet and totally empty when leaving the table. I can not emphasize enough how tasty the food is - especially the Asian night! They even had pollen for breakfast! Not to mention the fruits and the awesome desserts.
Now for the room, we booked a shared pool room and it was worth all the money. The pool is brilliant, all the other guests were very respectful and we had a great time. The room is clean, modern, practical. The housekeeping team was great, making sure we get our complimentary water bottle even if we didn't need our room cleaned that day. We also got several treats, included in our room price.
The main pool is very nice, there were enough sun beds (keep in mind that the hotel was quite empty given the tricky situation) and the water was at a good temperature. We also enjoyed the smaller pool downstairs.
The beach area is perfect, there are quite some steps to get there BUT you can always take the lifts (we discovered them on our last days there...). The sand is nice, water was perfect and all the bathrooms near the swimming areas were very well kept.
I'd recommend ear plugs if you stay in a shared pool room as it's close to the main road, but it's not impossible at all to get a very good sleep there!
There is a games room, but we didn't really have time to enjoy it because we had so much to do. You can play table tennis at no additional cost. We didn't have time to visit the gym either, but we enjoyed the swing a lot!
There is a minimarket in the hotel with great prices and an awesome funicular takes you there from the reception.
The staff was absolutely brilliant, they always had a sincere smile on their faces and made us feel like home!
My only complaint would be that the food at one of the a la carte restaurants (Pelagos) was extremely salty the only time when we had lunch there. However, as the rest of the food was the absolute best, I'd say it was only a mistake.
All things considered, Lindos Mare is definitely a hotel where we'll come back every year if possible and I'm sure it will exceed our expectations every single time. See you soon!

Dear ‘Acts In Focus’, On behalf of all the Lindos Mare team, I would like to thank you for sharing such a well-written review of your recent stay at Lindos Mare, providing a detailed description to the TripAdvisor community! We are delighted to read that after visiting Greece for more than 20(!) times, Lindos Mare is on top of your favourite hotels’ list, raising the bar even higher for other hotels to compete with. To start with, and after reading your comment, please allow me to highlight the remarkable professionalism of our team members during one of the most challenging times for our beautiful island. As evacuation was ordered by the Greek Authorities, it was highly important for us to ensure the safeguard of our guests, even though the flames were still far away from our hotel. Thankfully, the evacuation order was called back the day after and all our guests were able to return and restart their holidays. Your words of praise regarding our food offering is a testament to our Chef’s and his brigade’s efforts to provide a memorable gastronomic journey through their creations presented at the buffet. Please rest assured that our culinary team will be very excited to know that you fell in love with our Asian night’s delicacies and managed to empty all your plates throughout your stay. We are very pleased, as well, to learn that your room fulfilled all your requirements, with the high levels of cleanliness maintained throughout and the unique moments of relaxation enjoyed at the room’s sharing pool. Apart from that, our hotel offers two additional pools, located next to “Pelagos - À La Carte Restaurant” and “Meltemi – Beach Restaurant” and a beachside that is easily accessible using a series of lifts, where comfortable sun loungers await our guests on the delicate sand that encircles the crystal-clear waters of the Aegean Sea. Your feedback is well taken into consideration regarding your lunch experience at “Pelagos – À La Carte Restaurant”. It will be communicated to the according departments and the necessary actions will be taken to ensure that the level of food saltiness is well monitored. Once again, thank you very much for taking the time to inform the TripAdvisor community about your stay at our home. We eagerly anticipate seeing your name in our reservations list, soon, to take the opportunity to exceed your expectations and pave the way for an unforgettable stay! Kind Regards, George Benetatos Quality Manager

We have just returned from a 2 week stay at the Lindos Mare for our honeymoon. On arrival we were given a lovely welcome drink and shown to our room, which was immaculately clean, and there was a club sandwich in the fridge for us as we had missed dinner. As it was our honeymoon the room had been beautifully decorated and there was a bottle of sparkling wine and a bowl of fresh fruits for us, which was lovely.

We stayed in one of the deluxe panoramic sea view rooms which was kept incredibly clean by the amazing housekeeping staff and the view was just breathtaking. The hotel also provided a bottle of water every day which we thought was a lovely touch.

The food was great; lots of variety and we agreed it was the best buffet food we have had at a hotel. I am a vegetarian and there was always plenty of choice. There was also always fish if you happen to be a pescatarian. We were staying on a half board basis and swapped our dinner to lunch a couple of times so that we could enjoy some of the restaurants in Lindos. We also swapped one evening to the Pelagos a la carte restaurant; the service here was impeccable and it made a nice change from the buffet.

Most evenings we enjoyed a cocktail at the vergina bar, which boasts breathtaking views of the bay. The cocktails were very reasonably priced and some of the best cocktails we have had.

The staff were all incredibly polite and friendly and we really felt like on the majority of occasions they went out of their way to go above and beyond. Special mention to John on the front desk and to the housekeeper who looked after our room (really sorry that I didn’t catch her name!) who were both delightful.

There is a bus stop right next to the hotel and we used this a lot, both to go to Lindos and also to go to Rhodes town. The only very minor point from our point of view was that, apart from along the beach, you can’t walk anywhere as although Lindos is very close by the main road is busy and there is no pavement. This didn’t bother us much as the bus was so convenient and taxis were cheap too.

We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel or return ourselves should we ever be in this part of Rhodes again. Thank you so much for making our honeymoon so special and one we will never forget.

2 holidays to Alonissos cancelled, so we booked this hotel, based on impressions visiting the beach some 20 years ago. Well, first impressions are usually accurate. When you arrive at midnight, you really appreciate the efficient, warm reception, a bite to eat and something to drink. Our cases were quickly dispatched to our room, the sandwiches, vegetarian as requested, the room clean and quiet, the view incredible and the added bottle of wine very easy to drink. Within 1 hour of arrival, we simply felt relaxed and 'at home'.

Safety and hygiene is very important to me and this hotel excels here, especially in the restaurant. Masks and gloves were insisted upon inside and buffet food was constantly replaced and not just mixed in with the old.
Obviously, at this price point the food was not fine dining, but I felt the quality for a buffet of this size was very high. The freshly cooked omelettes at breakfast, daily roast meat option as well as the fresh Greek salad, range of fruit and incredible deserts, are one of the reasons we may return to this hotel next year instead of Alonissos!

Service here is very good as nearly all the staff were friendly and attentive, especially the meeter/greeter in the restaurant and the omelette chef at breakfast. There is always room for improvement so please ensure the bar staff are as polite and service minded as every other person in your hotel. The G and Ts were lovely but acquiring one was always a struggle. This was a shame as we felt the entertainment was extremely good. We were particularly impressed by the Jersey Tones singing! 3 nights a week was sufficient for us as we were just here to sight see, swim and unwind.

We were particularly impressed by the following positives:
*able to have an a la carte lunch on the last day as we missed our first dinner (this hardly ever happens)
* free daily water in fridge as well as at breakfast
*effective air conditioning
*free mossie tablets provided and hotel lent us an adaptor as we forgot our own
*worry free final day at swimming pool with luggage safely stored and retrieved by bellboys
* comfortable and free sunbeds on the beach
*efficient lift system-I had worried about all the steps-there was no need.
*thoughtful communication from Efi and Christina regarding our booking

From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, we were looked after and felt all the tension from the year drift away. This hotel offers very good value for the services it provides. Thank you to everyone at the hotel for making a dream a reality in such a difficult year.

We have just returned from 10 days at Lindos Mare. We were so sad to leave!! The staff really make the hotel extra special. The main buffet restaurant staff all work exceptionally hard to make you feel looked after and welcome and we really felt like part of a family - first class hospitality from wonderful people. The pool bar also had really lovely staff. Our main drinks waitress at the pool bar has now gone on maternity leave , but she was so friendly and made us feel so at home as soon as we arrived (quite late the first evening). We also appreciated the food in our room there ready for us - due to our late arrival. The lunchtime Moussaka at the Pool Bar was also outstanding and other meals from there were delicious. We all felt the beautiful breakfast buffets and evening meals in the main restaurant were exceptional and it was useful to be able to swap to lunchtime meals at the pool bar if we were heading out on excursions. The gym had everything we felt we’d need for a short stay and it wasn’t a problem booking slots (due to Covid safety). On the subject of Covid we really felt very safe here. Staff all wore masks in the soaring heat (poor things) and there was sanitiser everywhere. There were gloves to use for the buffet and masks were worn at the buffet. We were also given a Covid safety kit on arrival. Prepare for an expensive drinks bill however as the weather is so beautifully hot you get very thirsty! The entertainment nights were well done and we enjoyed the Greek folk evening. We did really feel for some staff especially who seem to work exceptionally long hours in the heat compared to what we might do in the U.K. …..After a difficult time for the world with Covid, we feel so lucky to have had the opportunity to take a holiday at Lindos Mare and we sensed the people of Rhodes in general, taxi drivers etc understandably anxious about tourists returning and we felt for them…..Also the views from the hotel bars, restaurant and pool were absolutely stunning. We didn’t struggle to get a space at the pool but we don’t know if the hotel was quieter than perhaps other years. The beach is beautiful too though if the pools are busy and the waiting staff at the beach work exceptionally hard in the heat carrying drinks and food up and down the hill. The rest of my family also enjoyed the watersports just down the seafront from the hotel beach. We think we did see a young boy get stung by a weaver fish on the beach though, so beach shoes may be worth packing. The sea was so beautifully warm and the beaches really clean. If you’re going to Lindos Mare soon, I’m very jealous! We miss it and the people so much already. Thank you Lindos Mare.

This is the second time we have stayed at the Lindos Mare, and are currently at the hotel at the end of the first week of our fortnight here. I have always wanted to return as in all our years of staying in lovely hotels, this is our favourite. When we checked in on the day of opening, we thought we had our own private hotel, it was so quiet. The check in and welcome from reception/drink and surprise snack when we got in our room was above any welcome we have received anywhere. We were made to feel really special. This was very welcome as we had a terrible start to the holiday at Birmingham airport security queues on the way. We were so glad we had paid a small fee for a sea view as the balcony was large and the view was something else. There is a complimentary bottle of water in the room every day, which helps to fill the drinks machine, and a mosquito plug/hand sanitizer and wipes/masks. We get plenty of excercise at this hotel climbing the steps from the beach but the pools aren’t quite a walk, so they would be more suitable for less mobile. Due to the layout of the hotel I wouldn’t recommend to less mobile people as too many steps. The food is very lovely and we really looked forward to our meals each day, definitely a notch above most hotels we have stayed. Special mention to Nikos in the main restaurant, he is very attentive and we preferred him looking after us. On our first night we were told that as a special opening night, we could have dinner in the a la carte restaurant. This meal was stunning and the service received was exceptional. The staff and waiters in this hotel could certainly do with training any UK hotel staff. There are wonderful views from most locations in the hotel and you could never tire of looking out to the beautiful colour sea. As soon as you enter reception , the most wonderful view awaits you. We spent most of our days on the beach as we like to take in the scenery. The beach boys would bring any drinks/snacks to your loungers for you. There isn’t much to walk to in the area so definitely have to get a taxi/bus to Lindos/Pefkos. This is the only downside we can think of, as we like a walk after dinner. We did go to the Lindos Blu next door just for a change, and there are a couple of hotels/bars/supermarket on the beach. Other than these, it’s a very peaceful, relaxing hotel with the most wonderful staff and food. Everyone must visit to see how special it is

It is really hard to think where to begin with this review!

We had our wedding and honeymoon at the hotel. This was meant to be last year and due to covid was delayed. The wedding planner, who is also the room divisions manager, Efi, is absolutely fantastic. As soon as we started corresponding with her she put me at ease straight away. She helped with the whole legal side of things, as well as every tiny detail on the day to make sure it was perfect. Rearranging the date was also seamless with no problems and we feel so lucky to have had that in these uncertain times.

The day itself was amazing, Efi would respond to my many queries in the lead up to the wedding and when we got to the resort ran through everything and reassured us that anything we needed could be catered to which made for a perfect day. If anyone is thinking of having a wedding abroad but is worried about taking the plunge look no further as ours was honestly planned to perfection.

The setting itself is also amazing. We had our wedding in the hotel gardens which looks onto the ocean and the bay. Our guests were blown away. You can also choose to have your wedding on the beach and have a boat trip etc. after the ceremony.

The hotel itself is spotless, our bedding and towels were changed daily, water and tea and coffee were provided in the room daily. We had champagne and fruit brought to us on numerous occasions due to having our wedding, honeymoon and my husband's birthday there. Efi also arranged for a birthday cake for him to be brought out during dinner.

The staff at the hotel are excellent. As well as Efi, Yianni, who is the chef, was lovely, even cooking my husband's breakfast in butter rather than oil on request. He even bought us a wedding gift! It was so nice to make genuine relationships with the staff there, who went out of their way to make conversation and get to know you. Everyone, the receptionists, waiters, porters and maids, were spot on.

The food was also incredible. We were half board and have experienced similar buffet restaurants. The difference with this one is it still has a fine dining experience, with a main course option available to be served at dinner as well as the buffet. The restaurant has enough options for everyone in my opinion. There are also a couple of al a carte restaurants which are equally as good. There is also the option to have lunch instead of dinner which we chose a couple of times.

The hotel is situated within a cliff not too far from Lindos which was a short drive away, and Pefkos which is a little further. We ventured out numerous times using a taxi, there is also a bus available and rental car options from the hotel.

We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday with the hotel exceeding expectations. The staff deserve every recognition as they made our stay even better. And we'd also recommend staying in rooms 601 to 606 for a private pool and amazing views!

The room was nice, we had a junior twin giving a bit more space. The view from the balcony was stunning and the room was spotlessly clean. The whole hotel was spotlessly clean. My only criticism of the room was that I prefer a walk-in shower, rather than a shower over the bath.

The hotel spreads down the side of the hill. We were in a room close to reception which suited us as we went out most days. It was a funicular and 3 lifts to get down to the beach, so for those who enjoy beach life, it may be worth asking for one of the lower rooms. There is something endearing though about the quirkiness of the hotel.

The sea was calm and perfect for swimming. There wasn’t much to see when snorkelling.

The buffet food was only ok, the standard I would expect from a 3 star hotel, and the area is quiet at night with no bars except for hotel bars. It wasn’t for us, so we went into Lindos town most nights where there are many great restaurants. The bus stop is right outside the hotel and costs €1.80 per person, and a taxi back was €7.00. Unfortunately, the road is not suitable for walking along.

The hotel does have a great pastry chef though; the puddings were lovely, and the pastries, biscuits and donuts at breakfast were yummy.

Don’t bother with the packed lunch that you can have instead of dinner, we threw most of it away. It contained things like half a cucumber, a whole beef tomato and half a baguette but no knife? Considering how great their pastry chef is, I would have expected some interesting contents.

I had a great holiday, but the hotel just wasn’t for us.

Just back from a week at the Lindos Mare and a great week it was. Beautiful hotel set in the hillside overlooking the sea.
We joined some friends who had been there a week and had visited many times before so it came highly recommended.
The hotel itself was lovely, clean and bright and the rooms perfect for our needs. Coffee, tea and water supplies were replenished daily and the rooms were spotlessly cleaned. We were in room 208 which has the most incredible views over the bay and beyond.
We stayed half board so visited the buffet restaurant most mornings and evenings. The food was lovely, plenty of choice on all courses, lots of healthy salads and fruits as well as delicious deserts. Have to do a big shout out to a few people that went above and beyond. Savas who welcomed us into the restaurant every day and made sure we were looked after, always with a smile and also Nikos who came to our table (we specially requested him) his attention to detail was excellent and always happy to see us. Evi that made perfect eggs and Milena who worked alongside Nikos were both lovely.
We spent most of our time down at the beach which was a lovely walk down (not such a great walk up in the heat though!) There are plenty of sun beds with shade when required and the sea is lovely and clear. You can order drinks and food by scanning the bar code at each sunbed or by ordering from one of the guys that work on the beach. A massive thank you to Andrei who looked after us the whole week. A real credit to the Hotel, worked hard and still managed to chat with us. We enjoyed getting to know him. Thank you Andrei :-)
We frequented the pool bar at the end of each day and the service in there was great. We didnt really go to the pool which although a beautiful area was usually full of young children with lilos and floaties. I felt maybe it would not have been too pleasant for those that couldnt make the hill to the beach to sit around the pool for any length of time and certainly you wouldnt be able to swim any lengths. I think maybe that would be my only critisism.
We found all the staff to be friendly, professional and couldnt do enough to help.
Thank you Lindos Mare for a great stay.

We had a wonderful 10 night stay at Lindos Mare.

The hotel is in a quiet location outside of Lindos, with breathtaking views over the bay and good bus links to Lindos and Rhodes Town right outside. This was ideal for us as we were out of the tourist rush of Lindos itself but close enough to visit multiple times with ease (including a hike up to the acropolis, which was spectacular).

The hotel's private beach never felt too busy. The sun beds seemed good quality and compared to alot of beaches a good distance apart from one another so you had some privacy. The sea felt safe and clean (water so clear!) and was perfect for swimming. The beach bar service was great and the ordering system was easy on a smartphone.

The bar next to reception has particularly good sea views and we found the service to be good and friendly- not too busy either!

The food was fantastic and absolutely delicious. We only used the main restaurant as there was such good choice at both breakfast and dinner. The set up was a buffet for breakfast and dinner (although you can opt to get a main from a set menu at dinner). We found that, between the set menu and the buffet, there was ample choice at dinner and good choice for a vegetarian too. The olives, feta, 'spicy cheese spread' and houmous was particularly delicious, along with the fish. Oh, and the desserts of course! The staff in the restaurant were friendly and attentive, especially Stella who was always so friendly when greeting diners each evening.

The staff throughout the hotel were always professional and very friendly. Our room was cleaned to a good standard each day. Reception were always helpful and were particularly accommodating after we had checked-out, storing out luggage securely and even allowing us to use a shower in an unused room before our outbound transfers.

The room had a good sized balcony, large and comfortable double bed and good tea and coffee making.

If you want to have the best views from your room (and not be on ground level) it may be worth asking for this in advance. Our room (404) was right at the bottom of the hotel meaning although we still had a sea view, we didn't get the sensational views some of the other rooms did (although it did mean we were right by the beach, so silver linings!) It also meant we had people walking past our balcony at ground level on their way out of the hotel to the beach. This meant a bit less privacy, but didn't really bother us.

If we had to be critical, although our room was clean and comfortable, it was perhaps a little basic/ dated when compared to the high standards of the rest of hotel (for example the air con was quite loud and rickety, even on the lowest setting). We had a basic sea view double room though, so I'm sure as you move into the higher spec rooms you get more!

All in all, we had a wonderful time at this luxurious hotel and would have no qualms about returning!

Thank you to everybody at Lindos Mare!

Another amazing stay at Lindos Mare. Apart from masks and hand sanitizers you would honestly believe the world was back to normal. Thank you everyone from Mr Mortoz the manager to Christina our house keeper for making this stay truly fantastic. The food and drink quality here is only surpassed by the service of the staff, in particular Efi (rooms manager), Nikos (main restaurant), Stavros (Verginia bar) and the wonderful Anna (Main Pool Bar). Looking forward to next year all ready

This was the best breakfast buffet I've ever had, so no worries. They have eggs, traditional greek spreads, ham, cheese, lots of pastries, pancakes, lots of sweet spreads, donuts, juice, you name it.
