The lobby is heavily perfumed, which I dislike, and oddly, is dominated by a large religious statue, a remnant of a transition from religious house to hotel. The breakfast room is in the old chapel, painted a very unfortunate shade of bright pink. However, the location is convenient for walking into the historic centre and the breakfast buffet was ample. We appreciated having a convenient place next to the lobby for bike storage. Charming this hotel isn't but we had a comfy room and slept well.
Spacious room, good beds, clean bathroom, good towels. Friendly staff, speaking good enough English. Very good, elaborate breakfast. Central location (less than 10 minutes to walk to the Alcatraz), but not too much street noise.
We ended up here after being let down badly by the YIT Casa Grande just down the street . We stayed for 6 nights in a Junior Suite on the second floor , The hotel is listed as 4 stars but frankly I take little notice of this classification, The hotel provided my wife and I with a room at short notice, it was two rooms with an ensuite and an enormous bed . The wallpaper had a tear in the second room with settee and TV and working desk , BUT the room was clean and refreshed daily , the staff from the breakfast room to the reception, and the cleaning lady were all very friendly and customer focused , The breakfast buffet was very good with many choices in what was the old chapel in the Convent from which this hotel is derived from . This is by no means the best hotel I have ever stayed in , BUT under the circumstances of our arrival and the way we were looked after , and for sure the breakfast spread , I believe this hotel is very underrated, it is centrally located and our week In Jerez was made all the more pleasant for staying here and Cheaper than the 3 star YIT Casa Grande and the reception is staffed 24 hours per day unlike the Casa Grande
Good location for a Hotel in lovely plaza with fountains and adjacent to start of old town - however disappointed with a 4,star a hotel that claims to have a bar/ restaurant and a terrace bar.... this in in fact a breakfast room only ! - and the terrace bar is just a terrace that - has no facilities whatsover - suggest their star rating needs a revisit ....
We love to travel for wine and Jerez is a great place. This my second time in this great city, very much under the radar... The Hotel Itaca is centrally located and greatly facilitated our stay. We did most of our Jerez winery visits by foot. Some of the best restaurants in the city are also walking distance from the hotel. The location was incredible convenient! The rooms are comfortable and the hotel offer a great breakfast. There is everything you can possible want for breakfast offered in this Spanish style breakfast. The staff was very helpful and friendly. I found that people in Jerez are incredible welcoming, nice and friendly. I will for sure be back!
