We Stayed at Stay@Zurich Airport hotel on 3rd June for 3 nights. The Hotel is located opposite to the main hotel which is Movenpick Zurich Airport hotel. Chack in and Shuttle drop is carried at the Movenpick Zurich Airport hotel.
Movenpick Zurich Airport hotel is usually fully booked as it honors lots of groups. So we managed to find a room at Stay@zurich airport hotel.
Frankly i found the rooms better in size at Stay@Zurich.The only issue was that there was n air conditioning at Stay@Zurich. The time we went it was very hot in Zurich and did feel the need of it. Stay@Zurich is basically an apartment where top floor is converted into a hotel. One good thing is that they has installed a refrigerator in the room which is always a help.

Service: The staff is amazing and very helpful. Guest relations team are good at suggesting places and routes. Some of there suggestion did help us a lot.

VERA at the reception is an amazing team member as she had all the information and most of the time we wound go to her and ask her for the information t travel around and she always gave a good advise to me and my wife. Well Done!!!!!

You can also buy your travel pass at the hotel reception and they explain you all so its worth it.

Breakfast: Initially was thought that the breakfast at a price of 23 Francs was very expansive and soon realized that as per Zurich pricing standard the price was worth it. Breakfast was very good specially the new type of Hash-brown they served, totally loved it.

Location And Shuttle Service: Location is perfect as the tram stop is just 4-5 min walk from the hotel and Shuttle service is run every half hour. We most of the time managed to come to the airport train station after day trips and came back with Shuttle service to the hotel which is just 5 min drive.

In all a good stay. Will prefer to stay again.

The Hotel is mostly a block of rooms located in a 4th floor of a building just in front of Movenpick Hotel, that is where you must go first to do you check in.
Rooms are clean and good enough to be comfortable. Competitive rates and free TRF's In/out to the Airport make me choose them twice during my recent trip.

Stay@ hotel belongs to the mowenpick hotel and lies opposite it. You can get to and from the airport with a shuttle bus. There is almost nothing in the neighbourhood . Luckily there are two restaurants in the Mowenpick hotel nearby : a meat redtaurant and an asian restaurant, borh affordable. this is a typical budget business hotel near the airport. rooms are clean and silent.

I arrived in Zurich after midnight and had missed all connecting trains. I then used Hotels.com to book this hotel. No confirmation was received so I tried to call the hotel. The telephone went straight to voice mail, I then called Hotel.com at around 12.30 am and they promised to call back. No call received from Hotel or Hotel.com so I had to phone around and find another hotel. In the morning i found Hotel.com had charged for the hotel. After persuing a refund for 4 days i have been told that this hotel will not refund. If you cannot confirm reservations or return calls in emergency situations then at least return payments.... I shall be looking for alternatives in the future... Your customer service and support is awful.

Our stay at Ramada at the Airport was made available by Laura Chamberlin and it was a great stay both visits. the first was on June 8th and the last two nights were on June 27 and 28th. both times it was a great experience. the rooms were clean, the air conditioner was great. The food at breakfast and dinner was excellent and dinner was economically priced (breakfast free). The lobby was clean, people were exceptionally nice and any requests were met with friendly quick responses. The shuttle to and from the airport was quick and drivers very friendly and efficient. The cookies and lemon water provided in the lobby for everyone was such a nice touch, my grandchildren loved having the little snack to tide them over till lunch. These are the little touches that make a stay memorable. Loved our stay. Will be coming back each time I visit Spokane, Washington. Thank you so much. RBrown

Left a $1500 jacket in the hotel room and called while I was at the airport to make sure they could ship it to me. They told me they would check and call me back shortly. Waited an entire day without hearing back, and when I called they claimed the jacket wasn't there. Obviously stolen by the staff, will never stay in one of their hotels again.

I'm sorry to report we had the worst night's sleep of our lives at STAY@ZurichAirport.

The fundamental requirements of an airport hotel are that it offers a good night's sleep in a comfortable room close to the airport. STAY fails the first two tests but boy, is it close to the end of the runway where planes touch down.

Entering the room we were hit by heat. It must have been well over 30deg, possibly more. (We visited in late June and it had been a normal early summer day. The European heatwave was two weeks later.) I found a thermostat on the wall but it was heating only, and it was 'Off'. ( It was also marked 'Do Not Touch'. I've never before been in a hotel where the hotelier prohibits guests from selecting their rom temperature.) I couldn't see any radiator or hot air vent. I had no idea where the heat was coming from.

In a corner there was a tiny upright fan, suggesting that heat was a known problem. But all a fan does is move hot air around, and this little fan didn't move it very far.

To get some ventilation we opened the balcony door and window but with a closed room air can't enter. However noise does; especially plane movements on a very adjacent runway. At least they don't operate at night at Zurich.

To cap it all, the mattress was old, thin and noisily sprung. We might not have noticed that but we were too hot to sleep. It's no exaggeration to say that we were sweating so much we were actually making the sheets wet. After a horrendous few hours we checked out at about 0430.

STAYhotel is odd. It is the 4th floor of a block of offices and apartments. The other side of a car park is the Movenpick Hotel. You use the Movenpick free shuttle and that's where you check-in. It was emphasised that STAY isn't part of the Movenpick but uses its facilities.

I try to be constructive if I post a critical Tripadvisor review and I'd like to end on a positive note. But I can't forgive an airport hotel beside the runway for not having sealed windows for silence, and air conditioning for ambience.

As others have mentioned, you check in at the much nicer Movenpick Hotel and then cross the parking lot to reach this place. The key unlocks both the front door and the door to your room. The lack of any human interaction felt strange. The rooms were all on the fourth floor. Once you entered the floor, one noticed how ragged the carpet was. My room was located directly across from the entrance, which did not make me feel very secure. The room smelled awful - I had to open the window - but the smell still made it difficult to sleep. One trash bin had not been emptied, which did not inspire much confidence in the cleanliness of the room. The bed was comfortable, but I could not stop wondering if the sheets had been changed.

There was only a wall-mounted soap dispenser in the shower. A place that caters to business and transit travelers should provide other basics as well. There was an electric kettle, but the only available outlet was on the floor next to the bed. All in all, the place felt dodgy and definitely not worth the price. The only advantage was the free airport shuttle from the Movenpick.

This is the definition of a no thrill with a nice touch of smoking among other awful smells on the corridor. The set up is very strange as you check in across from another hotel, there is zero to no infrastructure. No AC! It’s cheap and free airport shuttle. But that’s about it! Just know what you are getting before booking. I will not come back.

Response from STAYatTeam, Geschäftsführer at STAY at Zurich Airport

Dear Curioistraveler, Thank you for having taken the time to review our hotel. We regret that the facilities were not up to your expectations. We always try to improve our service. Regarding the infrastructure we are on a two star level and the amenities and infrastructure is above the required standards, meaning by we have satellite tv with over 140 channels, high speed wifi, a fridge, sitting area, and a free airport shuttle that as a value of CHF 20.- per person. But yes we do not have any AC as most of the hotels in Switzerland. As the summer is very short and we have many cooler temperatures an AC would most of the time not be in use. As all rooms are on the top floor, you may open the window if it should be too hot. At the moment we have about -5 degrees during the night. We hope you had a save journey home Kind regards Your STAY@Team

The location of the hotel is very close to the Zurich airport and the shuttle service was efficient. Check-in across the parking lot was a little unusual, but fine. The "hotel" seems to be the upper floor of a downscale apartment building. The room itself was dated but comfortable, and the floor seemed quiet. Unfortunately the room smelled like an ashtray, and even running the fan with the door wide open (chilly in February!) didn't make much difference. I would have slept with the door open all night if it weren't for the train tracks behind the building!

Overall I would pay a little more to stay somewhere else.

There is a courtesy bus that takes you to and from Zurich Airport. From there the train runs directly to Zurich Central station and takes around 15 minutes in total. Recommend you get a day ticket as it it less than two separate journeys. From central station you have the links to the tram system that should cover you for everything else. This is a good site for the transportation network but I cannot add this in so search for zvv.ch/en/home.html The trains, trams and buses run very frequently as does the courtesy bus to and from the hotel. The timetable is here (search for movenpick hotel zurich airport and go to locations tab then look at the link for getting from the airprot and you can download the timetable) Do not be surprised that this is the Movenpick as that is where you check in and check out (it is just across the car park from the STAY@)
