Detailed Reviews
I had such high hopes as this was my first time glamping. I love camping and i had great expectations. Sadly these were not met. On arrival we were faced with having to ring an international number to access the gate. Totally ridiculous given there is a coded box with the phob on the gate. It was then a 250 metre walk from the car park to the pod. Thankfully we were the first pod so less to walk. We had heavy luggage and provisions. I suffer from arthritis and being offered the use of a wheel barrow really didn't amuse me. Then told no electricity in the pod. Unable to charge mobiles which we needed for the weekend at Burghley and to keep in touch with children at home. Leaving your phone in a public shepherds hut did not sit well with us. Then there is the hot tub. This was included in the booking. Then received an email seeking additional £40 charge. I wonder how many people paid for this despite there being no mention of such when booking. No fridge and reliant on frozen blocks to keep food and drinks cool. Really didn't work with the warm weather leaving the milk going off. I appreciate it is a remote country location but we were plagued by a high amount of flies. On the upside the bed was extremely comfortable. So many rules and regulations it was hard to relax and enjoy the experience which ultimately led us to leaving early. Then to receive an email blaming us for leaving food in the bin and accusing us of spilling coffee on furniture. We certainly did not do this. I stripped the bed and left things tidy. We are all professional business women. If emptying a bin and washing two cups is to too much hassle for you then you are in the wrong business.

Dear Helen, Sadly there is only one thing to say here, you booked the wrong holiday! You chose our place as it was next to Burghley Horse trails and that is the only reason you chose to stay with us. You hadn't read the welcome pack we sent you so couldn't gain access to the site. You mention the walk to your dome with all your luggage, but we know you didn't do that walk, after moving the bollard you drove down onto the campsite at speed in your car! Something we do not allow as we advertise a car free zone so other guests children can run around and be free from potential danger. In fact you were eventually driven to your dome in our buggy, which i personally loaded all your luggage on and off for you (without a word of thanks) You had no regard for the ethos of the site, as we say all over our website and in all the literature we send to you, we are an off grid site. We never suggested you left your mobile phone in the shared reception area, but we did say (as we do in our welcome pack) that you can charge battery packs for phones here. Your guest also refused to use our organic products in the shower, which put our reed bed at risk. She could, I quote " only use shampoo and conditioner recommended by her hairdresser on her £500 hair extensions" I even offered her the use of a shower in our home but this was refused. You left the dome and kitchen in what I can only describe as a disgusting state and sadly your food waste was all over the dome (if only it had been in the bin) which contributed to the huge amount of flies in your dome. The kitchen had ALL your dishes used over the weekend left for us to wash, including a 3 day old chilli left in a pan. The chair in the living area had had tea spilt over it and I sent you photos of this as I found it on entering the dome on Monday morning. I can say beyond a doubt that you are the worst guest we have ever had the misfortune to encounter in our 6 years of running this business. On the plus side you are a rarity and the overwhelming majority of our 500 reviews (left on the correct tripadvisor page, Facebook and google pages) are 5 stars and I'm very relived to hear you wont be returning!

Hi, there are cool boxes in each kitchen and you can replace the freeze blocks daily so it keeps food and drink reasonably cold
