Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We have just returned from a fantastic weeks Skiin/boarding in Serre Chevalier , Weather amazing , snow amazing , Chalet absolutely amazing .
We were met at grenoble by Matt , for the 3 hr transfer - small minibus so much nicer than a coach !! .. He aslo did his bit in entertaining our 6 year old when the time in the bus was getting to him by joining in the a-z of food !! .. Chalet rooms lovely , amazingly comfortable beds , we were in a suite of rooms on the ground floor with a quad room and ajoining double.
Snowed Inn was the company ( Jo Matt and Steve) , seasoned chalet personnel who know what really makes a great holiday , we were picked up and dropped off at the lifts when and where we wanted each day , our skis and rental equipment was at the chalet on arrival and they saved us the bother of returning it ,.
Food ---- what can i say . , excellent , fantastic , brilliant cooking , the best i have ever had in over 10 years of ski holidays , Menus were varied , interesting and also they accommodated everyones tastes and cooked separate food for the children .
Chalet had endless DVD's SKY and also a Wii so that was brilliant for the kids .. a real home from home ..
If Carlsberg did chalet holidays .... as they say ... it would be hard to top Snowed Inn 's service and attitude and Chalet larre ... BRILLIANT :) thanks for a lovely holiday

We booked a late deal (4 days before departure) to the chalet Larre, and was a bit concerned after finding no reviews on the property. However, my fears were unfounded! On arrival at Grenoble airport we were met by Matt, and immediately left in his car for the 3 hour transfer to the chalet. My two daughters, and I were given the large 6 berth ensuite rooms on the ground floor, which we were very pleased with....the only downside to the double bedroom was the intermittent hum of a pump from the boiler room next door...which only slightly disturbed my sleep the first night (probably because it was a new noise for me)...and was only a very minor complaint! My daughters hire skis and boots were at the chalet on arrival, which cost us a bit more than going direct to another hire shop in Briancon....however we felt the convenience of having the skis being delivered and collected from the chalet was worth it.
Now, onto the Snowed Inn team of Matt, Jo, and Steve, they were all very friendly, attentive, and worked incredibly hard to make our, and the other guests stay as pleasurable as possible. Our room was cleaned/made up every day, the food was great ...gourmet menus of a high standard....and they were more than happy to adapt to anybody's taste/ dietary requirements. They dropped us off, and collected us (after a phone call to tell them where we were) with their minibuses, at whichever of the four villages that make up the Serre Chevalier ski area. The skiing was good after a big dump of snow on the Saturday night that we arrived, and then followed by (mainly) good weather. The ski area is all linked together on the mountains allowing a lot of skiing without having to come down to any of the villages. The lift passes cost 212 Euros each from 12 year old up to 64 year old....so we found that rather pricey ( for my 12 and 14 year olds ).
The property is right opposite Aldi's ( so handy for buying snacks/drinks!) There are free ski buses that run every 20 minutes, the nearest stop being about 3 minutes walk away. The closest uplift was from Briancon (about a mile away) which takes you from 1200m up to 2400m in height....and usually onto nice sunny slopes in the morning. The longest we had to wait was about 5 minutes first thing in the morning here....but once up on the slopes we generally had no queuing .
In summary we had a great time here, thanks to Matt, Jo, and Steve....and also to our fellow guests in the chalet ( thanks again for the Birthday hat guys !!), so if you get a chance to go to their chalet, go for it !!

Just returned from 10 days snowboarding in Serre Chevalier, staying with Snowed Inn Chalets at there main chalet Chalet Larre.
This is a top drawer resort a real hidden gem, great for all levels with fab technical runs, plenty of off piste and above all else... it's so so quiet... we had fab red runs to ourselves and it was half term.
The service from Matt Jo and Steve who run Snowed Inn Chalets is fantastic they look after everything and really go above and beyond. Really personal service and done with genuine care.
Chalet Larre is in a great location to on the main bus route to the slopes so easy for self commute but you only have to concern yourself with that on Wednesday on the chalet teams day off as every other day they get you to and from the slopes. The close proximity to Briancon too means meal out on day off is easy too either to walk or get a reliable inexpensive local taxi.
The chalet is comfy, warm, well equipped, free flowing wine and great great food...
A number one choice
Thank you for making our break great
We'll be back

Stayed 24-31Jan 2015, taking the whole chalet for a group of 13 friends. From booking (a year ago) onwards, Jo's efficient and helpful support made being the lead organiser a joy. All my queries were answered fully and honestly, so there were no surprises. We used their ski hire and lift pass pre-purchase option, and Steve organised separate airport transfers for some of our party who were arriving on earlier flights.
Once we arrived, we were made most welcome - a true chalet party. Sasha and Lory were terrific hosts - always a smile, and nothing too much trouble. The chalet was warm, the water was always hot, with wi-fi coverage throughout, and the food was excellent and plentiful, including dealing effortlessly with a 'dairy-free' guest, and a birthday. Behind the scenes, Jo, Matt and Steve ensured everything ran like clockwork. Jo was always on hand for queries - where to eat on the night off (we highly recommend Le Gavroche, in Briancon), where's the best hot chocolate (Turin cafe, Briancon), and organising two great snowshoeing expeditions for our non-skiers ('Snowshoe Mike').
The chauffeur service to and from the ski lifts was much appreciated, and very flexible, and there is a regular, free, resort bus too which stops a few minutes walk from Chalet Larre. Matt also ferried our hard-core off-pisters to La Grave and back, for their guided off-piste day.
In terms of conditions, there was plenty of snow on the pistes when we arrived, then mid-week we had a good snow fall overnight. Lifts and pistes were opened quickly and some excellent powder had by all. There's lots for non-skiers to do, too - all accessible via the free ski bus. Briancon and the surrounding villages are very historic, with a good local guide book in the chalet and walking leaflets covering the history, houses, churches, frescoes and sundials. A trip to Monetier hot baths is also a must - first used by the Romans, but extensively improved since then!
Can't wait to go back ....
