Nice hotel. Lovely location. Rooms were really cold and no heat. Also got a message when we tried the wifi that the bill had not been paid! Perhaps explains why there was no heating either... Breakfast was just a bowl of bread and restaurant was shut both days we were there. Weird smell through the whole hotel. Nearby town was busy and plenty to see and do which was just as we'll as the owner seemed to have retired and we hardly saw her except when she plopped the bowl of bread on the table at breakfast. Shame really, it has great potential....

Arrived and Madame was charming. Allowed us to park our bikes in her garage. She did seem rather surprised that 2 gentlemen in our party had booked a double room. 3 times she questioned this.

The rooms were big but cold and the bathroom ok. Strange smell of egg all over the hotel, surprising as when we asked for eggs at breakfast on the first morning, we were told "NON" and made do with coffee, orange juice and what seemed to be croissants from the day before.
Madame did offer us cheeses and eggs the following morning though.

The wifi did not work.

Unfortunately we weren't offered dinner either night; a shame as most f he town was shut on our first evening and we were the only guests.

I would stay here again though but maybe I am being overly influenced by the bike parking available.

Unpretentious small old-fashioned Pension situated about 10-15 mins walk from the centre where the bars and restaurants are. Plenty of parking for cars although unsecured. Our room looked out on to a communal terrace and nearby mountain. Very comfortable bed and room had probably been recently updated as it certainly looked better in daylight! A large old-style radiator produced great heat and the shower (think Greek cubicle type!!) was hot and good.
Just slightly spoilt by the somewhat overwhelming smell of something (drains, cats, cooking of tripe, cigarette smoke) - however, in the room it wasn’t so bad. But the provided towels also smelled strongly of smoke.
Shame because the comfort of the room was very good and the proprietor was very welcoming.

Dreadful smell throughout the property, possibly cigarette smoke, but who knows. Very basic, however on a couple of good points the bed was spotless, and very comfortable. and the place seemed to be clean. Owner polite and personable. Car parking on site. There had been a lot of effort in modernising it, paintwork and tiling good, but a bit of a lost cause. My wife however, thought it was great, which makes one wonder!! Didn’t bother with breakfast, the smell of the place was enough to put one off.

Easy walk to and from the Briançon train station. The owner went out of her way to chat with us each morning and gave us recommendations for the day which we really appreciated! Rooms were clean, beds were comfortable, and the surrounding streets quiet. We would certainly stay here again if we are ever in Briançon.

stayed here with group of friends to do the etape du tour cycle ride in July 2017. the hosts were great fun and very accommodating for us. Nothing too much. Breakfast was plentiful and good quality. Spent few hours in the little bar and overall I like it. Its 10 min walk from central town up a hill.
