My usual hotel in Briancon was closed so I tried Mont-Brison. Glad I did. The room was small but very comfortable, with a balcony too. Bathroom drying racks took care of my rain-soaked gear. Free parking in an interior courtyard, and motorcycles welcome. Loved the bread served at breakfast.

A modest 2 stars that deserves 3! The rooms are renovated to current taste, with good bedding, new bathroom, no noise: perfect for a short stay in Briançon. Good reception and moderate prices.

Stayed here for one night before heading to Montgenevre for skiing and quite honestly we are contemplating staying here for a whole week of skiing in Briançon next year.
If you are looking for the ritz then don’t bother. If however you are realistic in terms of what you get for what you pay for then go for it.
Rooms are basic and compact but clean with towels and toiletries provided in a lovely little shower room. Room is absolutely boiling (which I loved) and I’d prefer this and open the balcony door if it gets too hot than have a cold room.
Man in reception extremely helpful too.
Briançon seemed very nice and friendly too.

We’ve had a lovely stay at hotel mont brison. The hotel is close to the ski shops and lifts and has everything you need. The rooms are warm and well set up. I don’t know what people expect at this price (there are some negative reviews) we were pleasantly surprised. The staff are friendly and helpful. Great value.

We suspect there were some staff present at breakfast (very simple, even by French standards), but other than that this place was run by one man, the proprietor, who kept himself very busy managing both the reception and the adjacent parking lot. The latter was easy enough to access, but very small. So René, as we came to call him, had a busy time making sure everyone put their vehicles in excatly the right spot. When that was taken care of, he retreated to the reception desk, and started to hand out keys. That took forever, as he had to leave his post every time someone else pulled in to the parking lot. From the time we arrived, it took nearly an hour before we were settled in our rooms. A party of German motorcyclists who arrived at the same time as us basically gave up, and started to undress and enjoy their cold beers right there in the reception. Good move. Despite all this, we wouldn't mind coming back. The rooms were nice, the prices okay, and the location very central. And friendly René gave us all a good laugh

A 2 star hotel but with 3 star prices. The room and bathroom are ok and the fact that there is a small balcony with chairs is very pleasant, especially for the beautiful view of the mountains. Luckily there is a small balcony because there is no air conditioning and since in our room the bathroom fan didn't seem to work, that's the only thing that will allow you to breathe. Too bad there is a clock that rings the bells every 30 minutes... goodbye sleep. It was hot and we had to keep the balcony open. We didn't sleep a wink. I realize that prices have increased everywhere, but this is not worth 70 euros without breakfast. Ah, the car park has very few spaces and if you find it busy you will have to park for a fee in the nearby square.

We really enjoyed our two night stay at this hotel. The room had a lovely view of the mountains, very comfortable beds, and a newly redone en-suite shower room. Breakfast was great, a variety to suit all tastes, in a very pleasant atmosphere. The reception team was welcoming and helpful despite us being two rather shabby looking hikers. We found the whole hotel to be very well run, and excellent value. Plenty of good cafes and restaurants plus shady parks and a supermarket are all close by. We would definitely stay here again, thank you for a lovely stay.
