Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Never having been to Waikanae I was pleasantly surprised by the leafy village. This property is attractive and model, immaculately clean, handy to the motorway and within walking distance of the station and eateries. Helpful hosts and modern common facilities like the breakfast and outdoor area. Didn't use the pool and spa but they looked nice and clean.

I stayed for one night at Te Moan B&B. Diana was a wonderful host, very helpful, accommodating, attentive and friendly. The accommodation is immaculate and clean. Private room with en-suite. Very comfy and cosy bed - I just slept and slept and slept!. Tea making facilities just outside the room, and small lounge area shared with other guests (although there was noone else there when I stayed), where I had lovely continental breakfast brought to me at my preferred time. Free wifi, and Smart TV in room. I will be back if I need to come to the area for work again!

Great location, not far off SH1, and perfect if you want to stay north of Wellington. A great hostess, who was friendly and kept us well informed prior to our visit, even had an iron at the ready for us when we arrived, due to our quick turnaround in order to get to a function on time. The accommodation was clean and had everything we needed for our overnight stay. Sadly, we didn't have time to use the pool, which looked great. The shared bathroom between two bedrooms, can be a little inconvenient. A lovely breakfast to set us on our way. This is a great place to stay.

Loved staying here, had our own wing of the house, amazing pool and spa with a large outdoor area. Owners were very lovely people. We had great breakfasts and they were very helpful with things to do in Waikanae. Great ensure and super comfy bed! Even had a fridge for us to use with chilled water waiting for us.
