A very quaint 70's motel with great views of sand dunes and the roaring of the ocean. The beach is only a very short easy walk from your room. Your room is really funky with all everything you shall need. A good heater and two comfortable leather lazyboy chairs with a good size TV. Bed and pillows were very comfortable and we both slept well. The oven cooked a lovely roast with all utensils needed. The crockery was beautiful with charming coffee mugs. Everything was clean with an interesting cozy bathroom with lovely soft towels. We shall be back.

Room Tip: We had a corner room with sand dune views with a courtyard. Think they all did.

My partner and myself both went away for a weekend and we throughly enjoyed this motel. It purely sells privacy and seclusion and the hosts are friendly, welcoming and amazing. The decor is a bit dated however, its perfect that way and has that 70s design and decor which adds to the character of the place. The best motel...hands down.

Only problem was we did not stay long enough. Wonderful hosts husband and wife were so friendly and helpful. The motel was very clean and inviting. It was so homely and quaint, from the moment we walked in didn't know what to do first, walk over to the beach, sit out in the private courtyard ( yes it was private not like most advertise as private ) or just collapse in the big lazy boy chairs .Next day biked the Kapiti cycleway to get into Waikanae and ate at the Front Room Cafe. Thanks folks we will be back!!!
