We highly recommend Greenlawns. It is in a quite street, away from he hustle and bustle but convenient close to the commercial area and main access routes. Mary and her daughter are excellent hosts and pleasant conversation. The rooms/bathrooms are clean, well equipped with a microwave, little fridge, hairdryer, TV,, tea/coffee etc.
This I must say is a great family owned B&B. Owners were very accommodating and friendly. One gets a feel that you are a friend's house as opposed to another guest lodge. Very close to Newlands sports grounds and accessible to shopping centers. Feels like a home as opposed to guesthouse.
I would really recommend this Bed & Breakfast. It's very clean and cozy. The owner Lucy really goes out of her way to make you at home. This is a real gem and situated in the quiet Claremont area close to top restuarants.
I had to be in Cape Town for a course, and this was so close to the course venue. I had a great stay here. It is very relaxing and comforting. The breakfast was great. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to stay in and around the Claremont area. The hostess is greatly receiving and friendly. The room was very spacious and the bathrooms as well. Big cupboards to pack your things away. The little porch with table and chairs in front was very inviting.
I had called the B&B requesting a booking and had spoken to the daughter of the owner who always could not answer important queries such as booking cancellation policies. Upon requesting the changing of booking dates and they couldn't accommodate me ; the deducted a 25% of the deposit I had initially paid. I had given them more than a 6 week notice period and there was no loss of revenue as they could not accommodate me for the dates. I had gotten no response to my email as well, and had to keep calling for feedback. Unpleasant experience .
