Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Upon arrival I was greeted by a lovely lady in the office and after being unhappy with my cabin she was lovely to help me move which cost me a bit more money which I was happy with but after doing some research I realised that I was charged for the 2 person rate as a solo traveler which in my opinion is way too much to charge someone so after much consideration I decided to get some of my money back which made me mad but that’s life and left because I wasn’t happy staying after what my trip was all about in the first place. The cabins really need a good spring clean there is a lot of dirt on a lot of things and some things need replacing. The manager needs to be smiley and greet people with respect because that’s half the reason as to why left!!

We stopped on a whim while travelling through to Dunedin. The lady in reception was friendly and helpful. We stayed in a cabin which had the most amazing view of the Ocean. There was a large picture window with two recliners placed right in front with a windowsill for a cuppa to sit on. Although the cabins are outdated and need remodelling we did not care because it was the view and the peace and quiet that sold us. The cabin had a shower, toilet, kitchenette which was well kitted out, a small table, fridge, a double and a single bed. There are laundry facilities onsite and plenty of room for parking. The local pub serves takeaway which was very nice. We both enjoyed sitting and watching the fishing boats coming and going in the bay all afternoon. But be warned it is quiet and so easy to fall asleep. Wonderful.

a great spot to stay in Moeraki for a couple of nights or longer. We stay in the motel units which are fully self contained and have everything you need. A couple of units even have huge big spa bathtubs. Located right in town over the road from the beach and the harbour and 100's from the Tavern and the fish & chippie on the wharf.

I just LOVE this place. Ask for a cabin a little higher up so you can watch the fishing boats come and go. Perfect location to get away from it all. This was my second visit. Owners very friendly and welcoming Will most definitely be back

We have been coming to this holiday park for over 20 years and love the location and our experience. It is a special place for us. Unfortunately on our most recent visit we did not have such a good time. We booked a unit with a spa bath for a treat but the spa bath did not work. Instead of a relaxing bubbly bath we shared a leaking lukewarm bath- not a fun experience. What really made our experience worse was on check out, when we advised that the spa didn't work, instead of empathy we were met with denials of any problem. Terrible service. Honestly acknowledging the situation would have been acceptable, but this was not.

Love this wee campground. We were fortunate enough to get site #9 so we turned our van and looked straight out to Fleurs, the jetty and the sea. Facilities very clean and grounds immaculate. They have cabins and self contained studios too. Easy walking distance to the tavern, Fleurs, The Fishwife, the lookout and the famous Moeraki Boulders. Add it to your wishlist, you will not be disappointed. We will be back.

We spent 2 nights in Moeraki at the camp. What a great location overlooking the harbour and within a stumble of all the bars and eateries in town. Our cabin was very spacious, clean and had a wonderful balcony were we could sit and watch the boats come and go from the harbour and have a glass while watching the sunset.

We were very unlucky with our stay here as we ended up under lot 10 which was directly under the tree's shade meaning we'd get some really heavy rain drops waking us up (including things falling from the tree). I'm sure if we had asked to move they'd have let us but it was Christmas day so didn't want to disturb anyway. Bathrooms were OK but probably not the nicest I have seen... Still for $40, I really couldn't complain!

We had one of the newish motels on the front looking out over the harbour, they were excellent, very clean, everything provided, and friendly staff. A very short walk to the local pub for the lovely blue cod meal, and around to Fleur's Restaurant.
