Detailed Reviews
We booked 4 nights in a three bedroom apartment and the photos on the website don't do it justice. All the rooms were huge, full kitchen, large laundry and big living area. Main bedroom and living area have the most spectacular views - we really didn't need to go anywhere to feel like we were on holidays. Generous supplies were left (dishwashing tablets, tea towels etc) which made it very easy to relax. Can't wait to get back there!

We booked an apartment for 5 nights (still here) and our apartment is very spacious! Big kitchen and laundry room (dishwasher and clothes dryer are both temperamental - sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t). Bedroom is also very spacious and same with the bathroom. The view is outstanding! It’s great waking up overlooking paradise! There is a boardwalk that goes straight to Coral Bay which connects to Airlie Beach town centre. It’s about a 30 min walk but it’s a very pleasant walk. We love how it’s not too far from the town centre so we’re away from the madness but can easily go if we want to. If you’re feeling a bit lazy to walk, you can easily book a cab and it’s only a $10 taxi fare. One thing I would suggest though is room service be included specially for guests staying over 2 or 3 nights. It would be great to have clean and made up bed whilst on holidays and for $400 per night, I think it should be included. Breakfast is included, but we only just had breakfast once at the resort as although the food was okay, there was not much options. Staff at reception are all very nice and helpful though! Whenever we have any questions or need anything, they were always there to help us out. Great place to stay at Airlie Beach!

This hotel has breathtaking views of the blue water and the apartments themselves are well no other way to put it than beautiful. Its a shame though the location of Mirage Whitsundays is a good 30min walk to the main Airlie Beach city centre. (mind you this is a beautiful walk) but on a hot day its the last thing you want to do. Would stay at Mirage again just would hire a car. We had an excessive room with its own private pool, whilst this was amazing the pool had a roof over the top not allowing any sunlight in which made the water in the pool freezing thus making us not want to use the pool at all. It would have been nice if there was a few more condiments in the apartment too, not even any salt.

I booked 1-night stay ocean view at the Mirage Whitsundays, absolutely love the hotel location, the view, the amenities, all top of the line, unfortunately, the customer service shows no care when things happen, I reported the Air Con was not working in the afternoon, a gentleman told me that the AC definitely was working just due to the heat, I see no improvement throughout the night, eventually, an error message came up P26, I called the after hour service and they said nothing can be done due to fully book. I did not sleep all night due to the heat, there is no ceiling fan and I cannot open the sliding door due to mosquitoes. Next morning I went down to the reception, I asked the reception had my A/C issue being recorded, a lady answers me as "NO, but the front office manager would start at 09:00." I requested the FOM to contact me for the issue. At 10:00 I checked out the hotel, at the very end, no one apologizes to me for the A/C, no message is passed on, nothing!!! Where is your daily log? The front office team shows no care to their guest, my whole family (4 PAX) could not sleep the night due to the heat in the room. I left the hotel with disappointment

The apartments are spacious, and, while all apparently have a view of the Coral Sea, all views are not unobstructed. We rented a one bedroom, which was on second floor overlooking pool. So another (lower) building (the villas) was in front as were some trees. We didn't have a great view. Apartment was not really clean. We arrived just as reception was closing...at 6:00PM! The limited hours of reception (8:30-6:00) bring my rating of this property down a notch; I expect more availability of a four star property. We had two hangers in our closet; not a lot of shelves so I wanted more hangers. Also only one hand towel. Asked reception before they closed for 10 hangers and a hand towel and they said housekeeping was gone and it would have to wait until the next day. Seems like they should be able to find them even if housekeeping gone. Next day after returning to apartment from a kayaking trip in the afternoon, still no hangers or towel. Asked reception again. Two hours later, still none so called again. Finally brought after that. Shouldn't be so hard. This place is about mile walk from downtown Airlie Beach, where most restaurants and shops are. Didn't care about the shops but needed to eat. There is a boardwalk for much of the way, so not a horrible walk, but it was really hot when we visited and would have been nice to have had closer options. Would not recommend unless you have a car. Hotel restaurant was not open when we visited; there was a cafe with more lunch-type food (burgers, tacos) that closed at 7 for food.

This beautiful apartment style accommodation is it about a 20 minute walk out of Airlie beaches Main Street… Giving at the convenience of access with the quietness of being away from it all.. We have direct access to Airlie Beach and the Marina along the boardwalk from the hotels private boardwalk entry, you will not be disappointed if it’s a little bit of modern luxury and peace and quiet you’re looking for... though this property is quite large it always seems like you’re one of the only ones there with people keeping to themselves in the large luxurious units...
The hotel is currently working on securing a new restaurants and drinks facility so at the moment you’ll need to leave site for these items or self cater… But it’s not far to go to some really fantastic restaurants and bars...

Beyond our expectations! Stayed in a three bedroom apartment on the 2nd floor, with spectacular views of the Whitsundays. Beautiful well appointed large rooms with all the mod cons. Lovely decor. Loads of cupboards. Beds were comfortable. Bathrooms are big. Awesome air conditioner for those really hot humid days. Happy friendly welcoming staff at cafe Mira the only downside was it only open for our breakfast. Buffet breakfast was an assortment of Scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages, mushrooms, fresh fruit, tin fruit, yoghurt, cereal, muesli, potato, baked beans, cold meats, toast, juices and condiments so plenty to choose from. Seating inside and out. We sat outside every morning and we’re lucky to get a view of the water. It was a great way to start the day. Breakfast starts a 6.30 so is perfect for early morning day trip departures. We hired a car (highly recommend as it is about a 25minute humid walk into town)so it was easy to get in and out of Airlie as only 2 shuttle buses from mirage a day. The pools were clean and refreshing, surrounded by tropical palms and green foliage. There are two pools, We mostly swam in the adult pool. Only downside no where to get out of the sun a little shady area and more recliners needed in adult pool. swam every day and into the night. Gym well equipped but didn’t use. Would highly recommend and stay at Mirage again.

Firstly I think being advertised as a resort is a bit misleading don’t get me wrong the unit we had was fantastic. It was very spacious and comfortable and had most things you required.
A resort to me or the resorts I have stayed in a serviced daily and have dining facilities.
We were booked at the Mirage for 10 days. In that 10 days your room does not get serviced at all so you have to wash your towels etc. if you want your bed changed which at home I do mine weekly you have to change the sheets yourself. I know it sounds a bit precious but when I go on holiday I don’t want to be scrubbing toilets cleaning hand basins and changing sheets.
It was disappointing there were no breakfast facilities. The other complaint is they need Foxtel or Netflix as TV is pretty ordinary at night. That is my only whinge about the unit. It was lovely and clean and had awesome views and was quiet. Bed was comfortable and pillows were good. Toilet had to be flushed a couple of times to get paper down but that was ok. The unit has everything you need. Great size fridge and great air con. Bus service on the corner of Shute Harbour Rd and great Chinese restaurant over road. Airlie Beach only about 2km by foot and a lovely walk by the marina. I would maybe stay here again if it was for a week anything longer I might look elsewhere that is serviced regularly.

This complex is by far the best available in Airlie Beach. Our apartment had an incredibly well equipped kitchen, a huge lounge area with dining available both indoors and outdoors. Sun lounges on your own turf! The bed was superb and the bath is HUGE. Finally the shower has to be one of the best we have ever used. We had a 3 bedroom apartment with the extra bedrooms locked off. This really is the best option if you want to explore the Whitsundays, cheaper than the Islands and you still have all of the options for exploring them. We just loved the service from the staff at the complex, they could not have been more accomodating or friendly. Can't wait to return folks :)

My husband and I stayed at the mirage whitsundays for our honeymoon. We booked a villa, which was incredible. The villa was spacious and well lit with wall to wall windows/doors onto the balcony. The view was breathtaking. The air con was already on for our arrival which was needed in the summer humidity. The villa was basically a full house with self contained kitchen and laundry. The main bedroom had a walk in robe and ensuite which had an outdoor shower as well as an indoor shower, a bath tub with spa jets and even a bidè for your toosh. In our villa we had our own private plunge pool. The resort has an adults only pool as well as a family pool with a pool bar.
Whispers bar is where they have the complimentary buffet breakfast each day. You can't add drinks from the bar to your room tab as they are two separate entities so take some money with you if you're heading to the bar for any beverage coffee/alcohol.
There is a gym right near the adults pool. You have your own access to the board walk just outside the resort. If you choose to walk in to Airlie Beach it's about a 20min walk from the resort. Alternatively you can catch the complimentary shuttle the resort provides to drop you into town. There is only one shuttle in the morning and it will pick you up in the afternoon and take you back to the resort.
The shopping complex is only a short 10min walk which has a bank and the Coles supermarket.
All the staff at the resort were really friendly and approachable which made our stay feel that much more comfortable.
Consider the mirage for your next Airlie Beach stay.

Hi there, usually costs $15-20 for each transfer, thanks.
While this has not been available in the past, our last visit in May 2023 the poolside bar was fully staffed & operational!
