Villa Nautica in the Maldives is celebrated by guests for its spacious and pristine rooms, though a few suggest they could benefit from modernization and be closer to the resort's facilities. High cleanliness standards throughout and a vibrant atmosphere contribute to the resort's charm, with many reveling in the attentive service and exceptional amenities. While the location near the airport is a plus, opinions on value are mixed; some appreciate the all-inclusive options, but others find additional services costly.

Visited with my husband for 4 days after we had completed a tour of Sri Lanka and it is most definitely paradise island. We booked a superior beach bungalow and so glad we did as we had sunset view in room 116 which was 20 steps from the beach. Do t get me wrong the rooms do need some updating but they are working their way around the island doing this saying this the room was very clean and tidy just some fixtures a little dated. Room was kept very clean by our cleaner each day and as part of the half board Package he would fill up our water each day for free and if we run out he would bring more all we needed to do was call. Room service and restaurant prices were pretty much the same so if you are half board and want to order food to the room it’s a good option. Before booking we considered a overwater villa but I’m so glad we didn’t as I preferred our side of the island rather then the side the villas were on. Food was very good as part of our package and in the Italian restaurant. The only other food outlet we used was the coffee shop which was also very nice. At meal times the main restaurant would be full then when you would have a walk around the island it was alway very quiet. We loved the shark feeding at night and the sting ray feeding also managed to go snorkelling in the lagoon and were lucky enough to meet a black tipped reef shark and lots of different fish. I would highly recommend this island as it truly is paradise and can’t wait to come back in the future

We spent two weeks on Paradise Island in December 2020. Our initial booking was for only one week but we were able to extend our holiday to include the Christmas festivities.

Upon arrival we learned the swimming pool was under construction – a bit of a disappointment but the management more than made up for it by agreeing to upgrade us to water villa accommodation for a fair price.

The water villa room was spacious, very clean and modern with a huge, comfy bed and plenty of storage. The outside decking area is such a luxury with a day bed and two sun loungers, as well as a large outdoor bathtub. You can see plenty of tropical fish in the lagoon beneath and even friendly crabs, climbing up the steps at low tide. The water isn’t always very deep, -it would be difficult to swim at low tide. Also, it would be worth wearing protective shoes as the coral can be sharp – I found it best to swim right from the steps rather than walking out. The staff who cleaned the room were so friendly and accommodating, always leaving little shells or flower petals in patterns on the bed.

We stayed on a full board basis and the food at the Lagoon restaurant was absolutely delicious. There was a wide range of Indian and international dishes to choose from. Me and my husband are both pescatarian and we were treated to freshly grilled fish from the wonderful chef on several occasions. I can honestly say that Jackfish was the tastiest fish I’ve ever eaten! If you are a big drinker I would recommend booking an all inclusive option as the drinks were very expensive. The cheapest bottle of wine was about US$35 but you are allowed to purchase the bottle and keep it over the course of a couple of nights, if you don’t finish it. The other restaurants on the island looked lovely but the prices put us off from

The staff at the restaurant were so friendly and attentive, especially Rajkumar and the lovely Iresha, who always greeted us with a beautiful smile and fresh flower for my hair.

We didn’t do any excursions because they were very expensive, as was the spa but there are lots of little activities you can do on the island that don’t cost anything, such as canoeing, tennis, badminton, ping pong...

We spent a lot of time Scuba diving. There’s a house reef you can shore dive from and plenty of dive sites nearby, accessed by boat. I gained my Advanced Padi certificate with Arzan, who was a fantastic instructor – very relaxed yet safety conscious and very knowledgeable. The dive groups were small and we saw so many varieties of fish, turtles, sharks and even manta rays which were a total delight.

All in all I would recommend Paradise Island, especially once their new pool is completed. It’s a beautiful place and with a few tweaks it could be totally perfect.

My wife and I have just spent a wonderful 10 days all inclusive on Paradise Island and what a stunning island it is.
So upon arrival at Male airport we had a quick 20 minute trip over to the island by boat which was very pleasant and the crew and rep were very nice
Upon arrival we were greeted by real friendly staff who took us into the reception from the dock where we were met by Juliana our host for our stay. She was great for us gave us information, menus, booked restaurants for us and even bailed us out when we locked ourselves out of the room. Lovely lovely lady ❤️
I can happily say every member of staff was great so polite and friendly, even walking around the ground crew, maintenance staff, cleaners and bosses would all great you saying hello. Very nice touch
We spend most days on one of the beaches or in the sea, and your choice if you wanted a more lively time at the water sports area or bar area or a more tranquil time on one of the other beaches. The lagoon was our favourite spot and as I enjoy snorkling this was very interesting, managed to see many different fish along with reef sharks and a sea snake.
Even though we were all inclusive we tried out the 3 pay to eat restaurants they were very nice (Italian, Seafood & Japanese) but certainly not cheap ! The main restaurant has a decent selection which varies daily so always something to eat although I would recommend asking the chefs when they cook at the station to spice things up a little. Not a criticism as they are cooking for the mass but if like us you like things a little spicier they are more than happy to do it for you, in fact they will go out of their way to do something for you if you ask them.
Last but not least the bar is set looking at the sunset a spectacular view and excellent to sit out listening to the nice Filipino couple who play live. Service is very good and everyone is real friendly a special mention for Philip and Martyn but they were all great
Certainly would return here in an instant

Visited this hotel for New Year and I can honestly say it is the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. The superior beach bungalow was like a zero star motel, absolutely disgusting, especially the bathroom, totally outdated and dirty. I could’ve caught a disease from the TV remote alone. Although I booked and paid for all inclusive it is not. All you get is buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner EVERYTHING else you must pay for including bottled water, mini bar and room service. The staff are rude and unhelpful and one of them stole my Apple EarPods. Although management gave me cash to replace them I couldn’t listen to music on my phone for the rest of the trip. The table tennis and pool table room closes at 10:30pm, we were in the middle of a game and rather than allow us to finish we were made to stop at 10:30. The spar is horrible, the robes are smelly and the toilets in the changing room are terrible the massage was the worst I’ve had at over $100 each. This hotel attracts mostly Eastern European’s so anyone is seems to be treated lesser than. Some restaurant staff stank of BO and you are made to sign for every single drink you consume although it’s free, a total waste of time and paper. The pool is small for the size of the island and there’s not enough sunloungers the dolphin feature is very old fashioned. The boat to the airport is by no means a speed boat and overall I had a terrible experience here. I would recommend anyone to waste their money staying here when there are far more options available. If booking with TUI UK be warned there is no rep available and it is very difficult to get hold of them to assist you.

Dear Newyorker1 , Greetings from Paradise Island Resort, Maldives! Thank you for sharing your views following your recent stay with us. We deeply regret about the shortfalls you had experienced leave you such negative feeling about the resort. In regard to your comment about our rooms, we have done a major renovation for our rooms in 2008 and minor room renovations are carried out during low occupancy period. We are concerned to know that the cleanliness of the room was not to our standard. We do take the cleanliness of our rooms very seriously and adhere to our cleaning policies at all time by cleaning the rooms twice a day unless asked otherwise. Moving forward to the Apple EarPods issue, we take security and safety very seriously. We checked the CCTV records and did not see anyone taken the Apple EarPods from the Reception nor the back office. We believed it must have been misplaced by one of our staff and a serious action has been taken to that particular staff due to his negligence in this matter. All Inclusive package includes 3 daily meals in the main buffet style restaurant, various alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages during and outside of meal times, sport activities as well as afternoon high tea with snacks in the coffee shop. Please note that premium alcohol brands and A-la carte restaurants are not included in All Inclusive meal plan. However, they are available on very special rates only for All Inclusive guests. List of meal plan entitlements is available to all travel agencies we work with. We believe it had been very well communicated with you while the same info was given to each and every All-Inclusive guest upon check-in as well. Araamu Spa at Paradise is an award-winning spa with experienced and well-trained Therapists who deliver excellent service. We have served thousands of guests over the years and we are saddened to learn that the massage was not up to your satisfaction. In relation to the billing, please note that all guests have to sign the bills of their consumption for internal and external audit purposes, although it is on free of charge and this is a common practice in every hotel. We apologize for the rendered service by our Sport Center. We have shared this with respective department, your comment is essential to educating our staff about good and bad service. Once again, we sincerely appreciate the time you had taken to share your feedback with us, as this will allow us to identify the areas that we will need to focus on and further improve upon. If the journey takes you back to Maldives, we do hope to have a second opportunity in welcoming you back to the true spirit and service of Paradise Island Resort. Warm Regards, Management

One of the more budget-friendly resorts in The Maldives. We stayed in a jacuzzi water villa facing Male (no 725), the interior decoration beautiful and minimalistic, the bathroom with stone walls amazing. The sundeck and sun chairs is in need of little TLC, the sunbeads a bit worn out and not comfortable. The last step of the steps into the lagoon fell off as we climbed it, but this was fixed in an instant. The lagoon is at times very shallow, not deeper than 50 cm, so it isn't possible to go swimming or SUPping at all times. The bottom at the islands east side has a lot of broken corals, so bring good aqua shoes. The indoor beds and pillows is so comfy, one softer and one more firm pillow to choose from. I don't think I have slept so well ever! Housekeeping staff is really discreet, you never notice them but the room is always neat and clean. The only thing that wasn't open at our stay was the resort pool which is being renovated. The food at the lagoon restaurant is good with both international and more spicy indian dishes to choose from. Everywhere is the staff really friendly and helpful and it was a joy to be greeted by the beautiful hostess Iresha at the meals. The snorkel excursions are nice, there are a few to choose from. Since the island has no house reef you have to go on excursions to see a lot of fish. The excursions are quite costly compared to other islands, about 70 USD for a 3 hr snorkel trip. If you travel as a family that's a significant amount of money, even though reduced price for under 12 years. The resort have shark and ray feeding each night at 7pm, and say what you want about feeding wild animals, to feed and pet a gigantic stingray was totally amazing! I'm sorry to say some earlier vacations have been destroyed by Russians who are rude to staff and simply don't know to behave when traveling, but I must say, although the were many Russians there, they were ok. All in all, a more family oriented than ultra luxury resort, pool villas sun deck- and beds need TLC and expensive excursions is the only negative, everything else is truly great.

It's awesome. Words and pics are not enough. Imagine yourself in the middle of Indian ocean on an island. The property is well maintained and has standards in all aspects. For Couples, Family or Friends will be great anyway. Suitable for anytime of the year as it's tropical region climate is very unpredictable but always moderate and cold breeze soothes you anyway. Luke warm ocean water allows you to enjoy both cold and hot times. The property is 932 metres (3,058 ft) long and 201 metres (659 ft) wide with total area 201.508 square metres (2,169 sq ft). Best room is Ocean suite (2 rooms only) which is farthest from the island and the last two rooms before a sea food restaurant and bar extended on the lagoon of an ocean. Then are Haven Suite with Private Swimming pool on the open to ocean terrace. Which was Haven Villa with jacuzzi on the open to ocean terrace. All the rooms are spacious and with all possible amenities like tv, fridge, minibar (paid as per menu) and internet. All these rooms are on top of ocean water and complete construction of wood and metal.
Every single room has got view to ocean and far next island. Then there are various kind of beach bungalow based on the view and distance from ocean. These are all on top of the island and some are close to main bar. With the clear water you see till the bottom and variety of fish and baby shirk (up to 12m size). Activities are endless starting with water sports like Scuba diving, Snorkeling, canoeing etc etc. To indoor games like table tennis, pool and snooker not leaving tennis, volleyball and so on... Having so many restaurant and bars you will definitely find your choice and quality of food is standard. People who do not know to swim will equally enjoy as the people with swimming skill. Every night there is an event at the main bar and everyone is welcome. There are also event other than the main bar however not regular. Try to find the guy Moosa once you arrive and even if you are assigned a spoc. The guy is local and best at his job. He is very sweet and helpful guy.
In simple if you are planning for your next trip then it should be Maldives Private islands. .

We chose Paradise Resort in the Maldives as destination for our honeymoon. Actually we just got back a couple days ago.

First of all, the island and the weather were perfect. If you are also a fan of tropical vibes just like us, it is already a good choice for you too.

It's hard to summarize my opinion as I am still amazed by the kindness and attention we have received from the employees.
My first personal story is that a waiter accidentally learnt that I am gluten intolerant (I asked a random kind-looking waiter during lunch one day about a dessert). As it turned out, it contained gluten, he apologized (even though it was nobody's 'fault' and I didn't mind it too much) and 10 mins later he suddenly appeared at our table and brought me two pretty slices of gluten free dark chocolate brownie. And it didn't stop here, from that meal on I have received a printed menu before each lunch and dinner, marked all meals that was gluten free.I am still so touched by these gestures.

Another lovely thing has happened to us as we were making a shift regarding our last dinner (we chose to upgrade it to have dinner at Lagoon Restaurant). We mentioned to the kind waitress in a nutshell that it was a special day for us as it was our 2 years anniversary of proposal. That night as we entered the restaurant we realized that they have actually booked a table for us (even though the system of Lagoon Restaurant doesn't allow table booking) and the most beautiful, romantic decoration was waiting for us (red lights, napkins in the shape of swans, our names written in red pieces of rice). It was the most beautiful surprise. Especially that the chef personally showed me all the gluten free meal options after that.

On the other hand, unfortunately we had to switch rooms twice because of rude neighbours. We haven't changed rooms ever before in any other hotels but this time it was really inconvenient especially that we were on our honeymoon.
Paradise resort gave us new rooms basically after hearing the very first sentence of our story and they didn't charge us extra, even though I am pretty sure the final room belonged to an upper category than the one in which we started our vacation.

All things considered I highly recommend everyone to visit Paradise Resort as it really gives everything to customers. We were amazed by every employee's attention, kindness and helpful attitude. The mentality they have is so special I am still wondering about it.

Maldives the Island that reminds me every sunset is an opportunity to reset and experience a beautiful sunset at the beach. I have travelled to some of the most exotic beaches but I always come back to the Maldives. I choose to stay in Paradise Island resort since it’s near to the airport (15mins speedboat ride) and It’s only a 3days trip. Welcoming was not comparable to some previous resort that I stayed, even the check-in was a bit odd (there’s only 1 or 2 person accommodating us to check-in). The room that I got was a beach bungalow that faces the beach which makes me happy but I notice that the rooms needed a little renovation (most of the decorations are looking run down) I think it’s one of the old resort in Maldives. Most of the time I ordered food in room service and it was okay. I also tried the Italian restaurant and the main resort restaurant since my breakfast and dinner was included with the package, hmmm the food I would say is so so not really the best. Maybe in my return I will try the other restaurants. I was surprised about the night life that the resort have, Hulhangu Bar made my everyday in Paradise Resort. The bar manager Oussama made sure that I was well taken cared by the staff not only in the restaurant but even in the Spa, totally surprised this guy was a big asset to this company. Overall my stay in Paradise was another experience, although I didn’t have much time to do activities, I am happy of just being there in Maldives. I appreciate the hardwork of every staff that makes this trip enjoyable.

I can't thank Paradise Island enough for a lovely first holiday with our 12 month old son. The location of the resort and ease of getting there (15 mins from the door of the airport) were key considerations in choosing the resort initially but the quality of the food as well as the friendliness and level of attention to detail from all staff made our trip absolutely incredible. We were very happy that we chose to stay in a water villa where we had access to amazing snorkelling directly from our deck. The sea was warm, calm, shallow and perfect for swimming with children. The Island was in no way fussy and so we felt very welcome while travelling with a baby. I should also mention that mosquitos were not a problem and I didn't feel that a net was necessary for the cot. RE Covid, there is a clinic on the Island and it was very easy to arrange our PRC tests prior to departure at a cost of USD$150. The results were delivered to our room without issue within 24 hours. We had a late flight out of Male and were able to stay at the resort until the last boat left for the airport at 8:30pm. Nish even arranged a room for us to use as a base after check out which we were so grateful for. A special thank you to Nish, Iresha and the staff at Lagoon restaurant for thinking of absolutely everything and also planning a first birthday cake for our son. It was such a memorable holiday and we hope to be back again soon.

4 nights won't be enough in there for sure. As we arrived, we've been received warmly by the paradise team, escorted to the speed boat and the journey began. It took us about 20 minutes to reach the resort, as we arrived, we've been taken to the reception were we've been served lemongrass scented towels and a refreshing drink. The check-in was smooth and quick with sabah, she explained all the facilities of the resort and directed us towards the best activities we can have. The room was located at the sunset area and close to the complex where all the entertainment are happening. The main bar is full of vibes, everyone from the staff are very kind, friendly and professional. We've always felt welcomed, recognised as the team call us by name and know our preferences thanks to adipta, ram, lakmal, dani and mahesh. The main restaurant where we had our meals is great with the team they have and the selection of food, a huge buffet that meet every palate, they have give us a nice table overlooking the beautiful landscape of the hotel, private but yet not far from the buffet. Anna and Mali always at the front to welcome and farewell us with their generous smile while iba never missed a day to check on us if we are alright. We went to the shark feeding at the seafood restaurant, the experience is fabulous, I counted over 20 or more sharks at that time. The Italian restaurant serve a tasty tuna tartare and beef carpaccio, don't miss it. The spa is like a buddha temple and the service is outstanding. The walk on the jetty during sunset, the turquoise water and the white sand are breathtaking. To sum up, I highly recommend paradise resort for couples and families who are looking to pamper them self with the services provided.
A special thanks for ibad who invited us for the cocktail, we had a lovely conversation along with a tasty cocktail.
Thanks to oussama who never missed a day to impress us with his creativity in cocktails and taking the extra mile to ensure we are having a pleasant holiday.
Thank you paradise team.
