Staying at Lanes Aux Pines Cottages is like being in your home away from home but in the most beautiful setting imaginable!!
The family owned property includes cottages nestled along a stunning but quiet beach.
The kitchens in the cottages are complete to cook any type of meal. But the wonderful Sand Bar restaurant on the property called our name most days. My favorite is the Avocado salad with fresh grilled fish (tuna most days)! Phillip cooks in the open air kitchen so we could peak in to thank him for the delicious meal.
The daily housekeepers and grounds keepers always had a smile and time to chat. We looked forward to seeing our housekeeper Elsa each days. She shared more about Grenada, the people and her family. I was sorry to say goodbye when we left!
Lastly this unique environment fosters sharing and time together among the guests. We found new friends and have both booked to come back next February!!

We stayed in a single bedroom kitchenette unit for four days in early March, 2020. The suite was very large, well appointed and updated recently, but still with a cottage feel. The kitchen and living room use flow-through ventilation with bug screens all around, which keeps you in tune with the environment. If we needed to cool down, the bedroom had an air conditioner that would keep the room at any temperature.
The swimming beach was beautiful and protected, perfect for a warm swim. Nothing to see with snorkel and mask.
Water toys included a typical small plastic Hobicat, a more serious Hobicat with hiking rail and jib, single and double kayaks, and Sups...all in good condition. During our stay hardly anybody used the toys, so we had no problem keeping busy!
Staff were all super friendly and cool, I wish we had stayed longer and talked with them more.
The other vacationers were mainly British and Canadian and repeat customers for many years, a good sign of consistent, quality service.
Thanks to Tim and staff for a great holiday!

Serene and Gentile, well manicured gardens and combed beach, Lance Aux Epines Cottages is a jem of the island jem Grenada. Owned and managed by Tim, who introduces himself personally to each guest and is ever available with a smile and good conversation, and caring consideration for his unequalled masterpiece of beachfront hospitality. He is well supported by a lovely friendly staff of Thaneia, Tamika and Sebastian, among others, some who have worked there for 30 years.
The beautiful cottages are well appointed with comfortable and tasteful furniture, soft beds and nicely equipped kitchens. The gardens, with beautiful shady trees rustling gently in the Caribbean breezes, trimmed lawns and flowering bushes paint the picture of delightful tranquility. There is a beach bar, with a kitchen for delicious food orders, and several kayaks and a Hobie Wave catamaran available available for guest use. There is also a Hobie Getaway catamaran that can be sailed with Tim by special appointment.
Lance Aux Epines Cottages is where I stay when I’m the Caribbean. It’s my favorite place, a perfect place to relax and enjoy good company from all over the world, or just be quiet on my own. I’ll keep coming back as often as possible :)

Returned to these beautiful cottages for a second time, after having to cancel due to lockdown .
It was amazing to be back . The location is breathtaking, literally steps from the beach which is a classic, quiet Caribbean stunner. . Every single member of staff are friendly and helpful. We had a two bedroom, 1 bathroom cottage , our friends had a two bedroom, 2 bathroom cottage . There are also a few apartments. Cottages are older style inside, but with absolutely everything you need, spotlessly clean , super comfy beds with air con in the bedroom . and serviced daily . Beautiful gardens too . Sands bar has grown a little since our last visit , understandably, as it’s right on the beach , serving excellent cocktails and food . Think we have found our paradise here, and will return soon .

What a really wonderful place this is! We were so impressed with the friendly, helpful staff who went out of their way for us. Tim, you have a fantastic team. From Timika who was so helpful emailing me to answer all my questions beforehand to Lisa and the housekeeping team who kept our cottage spotless and so well equipped. The staff at Sandbar were also top notch. We even had lots of ice provided for our arrival and the kitchen equipment was excellent. We were give a lovely bowl of fruit , and the cottage was decorated with carefully picked flowers. It looked amazing. Our flight arrived in the evening so we easily pre order our choosen meals from the Sandbar a few days before our arrival. The cottages are in such a beautiful location, right on the beach. The gardens and beach are maintained really well and we really enjoyed just chilling out amongst the flowers and under the trees on our personal loungers with the occasional dip in the sea. We even were given umbrellas and a rechargeable flash light to use during our stay. If we needed any help all we had to do was Whatsapp reception or just wander over there. All very well organised and contact numbers given for out of hours problems. The bed pillows are probably a bit large for us and the bed was rather 'firm' but apart from that we were just blown away at how excellently the cottages and apartments were run. Swallow Cottage is really recommended. Thanks again everyone!

We stayed here with our one year old for several months during my husband’s first term of medical school. It was the perfect introduction to the island. The cottages are right on the beach. There’s also a beautiful lawn to play on and a sandbar that serves food and drinks by the water. The staff is the best thing about LAE Cottages though. They genuinely care about you and take time to make sure your needs are met. They helped us learn about the island and arranged tours when we needed it. Urica, who works at the sandbar, was so sweet to our daughter. She took time to talk to her and always brought her a pineapple juice when she spotted us outside. The staff also left fresh mangos for us occasionally. As a mom, I appreciated the security guard and the fact that it was gated at night as well. This place will forever hold a special place in our hearts, and we hope to visit again in the future!

So, sweet little Grenada has an excellent C19 strategy in place for allowing visitors and returning residents to come to the island in comfort and safety.
This entails a pcr test on arrival (I came from Uk ranked medium risk) and 48 hours quarantine in a hotel until the results come through.
I thoroughly reccommend Lance Aux Epines cottages for this, and it's hard not stay on.
The cottages are fully equipped, located right on the bay so you can hear the gentle waves lapping from your hammock. The beach bar is close by and they offer room service. Lush soapsud trees provide shade and the flowering shrubs host a medly birds after which the cottages are named (humming bird, swallow, sandpiper etc). But best of all are friendly staff, who naturally make you feel welcome and at home, relaxed in paradise. No pretentious here, this is true authentic Grenada experience.

Lance Aux Epines Cottages is the place to stay if you want to experience the best of Grenada.

Tim and his staff are beyond attentive and ever accommodating. The cottages are spacious, well equipped and kept meticulously clean.

Last but not least, the Sandbar, located right on the beach offers some of the best dishes on the island and without doubt the best rum punch in Grenada!

Actually, once there you don't really want to go anywhere else.

After vacationing on 23 different islands for the past 29 years, we have found our favorite - Grenada. Yes, we did return to several that we liked, but Grenada is the friendliest, least likely to be hit by a hurricane, and grows a lot of their own food. And now, after 4 times, Lance Aux Epines Cottages feels like our home away from home on this beautiful island.
Tim and his staff ALL treat us as if we are family, and will do anything to make our stay the best possible one. Each Cottage is a stones throw away from walking on the beach or swimming in the calm waters. The Beach Bar serves the best, most varied food - right on the property. Even Fabulous Lobster this week~!
Love listening to the waves and tree frogs at night, and the birds that wake up with the sun. Comfy beds, luxury towels and hot solar heated water for showers all make for a splendid relaxing time.
We've already booked for next year!

The cottages provided a great escape from the world. It is a quiet beach side location in a nicer part of Grenada. There is a beach bar with food available which was hit or miss. We enjoyed the kayaks, hammocks and peaceful surroundings. You will need a taxi to get to anything unless you like to walk and are pretty fit. Our daughter is a student so we were able to get a pass for the buses which are fantastic. It is still a haste to get groceries. My husband is a runner and found many routes to run in the area. We will stay here again as we enjoyed the serenity very much. I would arrange your own transportation from the airport as the resort failed to pick us up and after an hour of waiting we had to do that anyway. 30 EC is what any taxi will charge you, don’t pay more. Our house keeper Ann was really friendly and did a wonderful job.

Hello Candace R, Thanks for taking the time to leave us a review. It was a pleasure having you and your family with us and glad you enjoyed the serenity we aim to provide at the cottages and the use of the water sports and hammocks. Yes, Ann is a dear and has been with the company for quite sometime (over 30 years). We will be sure to pass on your compliments to her. We must apologize for the oversight when it pertains to arranging the airport transfer and I will take full blame for this. My assistant who usually assist me in these areas was sick on this particular day and I did not pick up on the note on your file to arrange this for you. I am terribly sorry you had to wait. We hope to have you with us again on your future visit to Grenada! -Thaneia
