We had the H boutique suite. It was £300 for the night. You will hear people moving around above you as the floor creaks. We did bring this to the attention of the reception staff. The room is beautifully equipped and very luxurious. The bathroom is beautiful to look at. There is a musty smell in there which others have noted on here. The reception staff were not wearing masks and there is a very small screen. Cleaning staff were not wearing masks. The following morning we had breakfast ( which they will say is a separate company). The young man who served us did not wear a mask which we felt uncomfortable with. The breakfast itself is was good. The hotel is well positioned in the centre of Bakewell. Others on here have mentioned the problems with car parking but you get an email before arrival explaining costs and where to park etc. It’s very good, but not in our view as good as it should be.

We had a two night stay to visit Chatsworth House and I am pleased to say I think we picked the right hotel to stay in. It was beautifully decorated, clean and the staff were excellent. We had Suite H which was very large and had a super bathroom with a very comfortable bath (plus shower if preferred). The only reason that I have not given the hotel five stars is due to creaky floorboards/ joists in the room upstairs. I note that this has been mentioned in previous reviews and hoped it would not affect us. I know you get creaky floors in old buildings but this was very noisy. So much so that when the occupants got out of bed in the middle of the night we were both woken up by the loud noises of the floorboard/joist. It was bearable when we were awake albeit rather annoying. It does need attention and should not be difficult to put right. Apart from this I would thoroughly recommend the hotel for location and the reasons given above.

We spent three nights here in late November. We stayed in "Hope" and were surprised at the size of the room, definitely one of the most spacious we've stayed in. It was modern and clean with everything you might need. The black out curtains ensured great sleep. Centrally located, great friendly staff. We will be back. Thank you

We stayed at the H boutique for some of half term and we received such a warm welcome. From booking to check out, Adam could not have been more helpful. He provided us with an itinerary for our 3 days out, all of which we did and the kids thoroughly enjoyed themselves. The room was so comfortable and spacious. Instead of being out, the kids wanted to get back to the room. Nothing was too much for Adam & he has already mentioned a few things to do when we return, which we will be doing. I am already booking a trip for next year. A definite Gem in Bakewell abs perfect location for activities in the Peak District. Thank you to the H boutique for a lovely stay and with particular thanks to Adam for all of his help, advice and knowledge.

This hotel is amazing. Perfectly located in the centre on Bakewell near all shops & restaurants. Great location to start or drive to walks in the Peak District. The hotel is immaculately kept, great sized rooms, lovely bathroom and very comfy bed. The hotel is well run and our stay has been made better by the staff who are all very friendly, especially Adam who has been very helpful with local knowledge and all round service.
