We stayed with Ulster Cottages for a week in mid August 2020. Our accommodation was located in a semi-circle of 6 cottages on a meticulously maintained outdoor space. The accommodation was spotlessly clean and the cottage was really well equipped. Excellent wifi reception. What I particularly liked was the size of each bedroom (really spacious) and the fact that each bedroom had its own TV and adjacent bathroom, beds all so comfortable too! Also, in the cottage we stayed in, the downstairs bathroom was fully equipped for anybody with mobility issues. Outside the back of each cottage was a large picnic bench with provision for a barbeque. The front of the cottages is a communal area, beautifully presented. Even though there was full occupancy on the complex, it was really quiet and peaceful.
The property is located on a quiet road, just off the main road. My son enjoyed a walk in the evenings and having a chat with our hosts Ann & Paul who he described as being great 'craic'. The owners live on site so any additional towels/bedlinen required was not a problem. The location of the property was also really great, we enjoyed the beautiful scenery of the Antrim coast/Giants Causeway and a selection of fabulous beaches. Coleraine was a lovely town with a pedestrianised main shopping area and was approx. 5 miles drive from the cottage.
Other visits worth a mention were Derry City (38 miles) and Glenariff Forest Park (approx. 35 miles).
Overall we so enjoyed our holiday, we were made feel very welcome and the quality of the accommodation on offer was really excellent value for money. We definitely would love to go back to Ulster Cottages! Theresa Loughman

I booked my short stay as a treat for my adult daughter, mum & aunt (and me) and we were all delighted with our experience. Beautiful accommodation, well presented and with all the home comforts we needed......great location, very handy to Bushmills, Portrush & Coleraine by car......and an incredibly warm welcome and professional service from Anne (from making my initial booking, through to checking in/out). As my daughter uses a wheelchair, Anne had kindly allocated us the property adjacent to the disabled parking bay, which made life that bit easier. The ground floor of the house was fully accessible and I was impressed with the spacious living/dining area, the large double bedroom and wet room with shower & toilet. We were also pleasantly surprised to find the both upstairs bedrooms had ensuite bathrooms. Thanks again Anne for everything......we look forward to returning to Ulster Cottages sometime soon!

We have just returned from a fabulous week staying in the Ulster Cottages. As a family of 6 it is not often easy to find accommodation that suits all our needs but Ulster Cottages ticked every box! Ann was fantastic and settled us in nicely. The cottage was exceptionally spotless on arrival. It was spacious, modern and had everything we needed. Our sons were delighted as the WiFi was so good that they could all play xbox when we were home in the evening and each bedroom had its own TV. Beds were very comfy. We found the cottages location very central between all the places we were visiting and timed the journey to the Whiterocks from them at only 5 minutes - fantastic!! We will definately be staying again. Thanks for a great week!!!

I booked this trip for my daughter's 27th birthday and was very pleased that I did.
Ann, the owner, is very friendly and accommodating.
The house itself is decorated to a very high standard and has a gorgeous log fire which throws out a lot of heat and was welcome on the freezing nights we were there.
On Ann's recommendation we rang Gordon's taxi's who transported us to Portstewart, where we had a fun evening and great meal in 'Villa'. Gordon came back to get us at the end of the night and was good fun.
Over our next 2 days, we travelled to the many easily accessible tourist areas including Bushmills, the beautiful Ballintoy, the (not so beautiful) Coleraine (avoid the Diamond shopping mall if you're hoping to find a cup of coffee in their food court!!), the scary Torr Head and the seaside town of Ballycastle, to name but a few.

I can't recommend ulster cottages highly enough.
A small caveat to that, is that the utilities bill at the end can be an unnamed quantity. I believe if the price of the accommodation was adjusted to include utilities or there was a pay as you go metre, it would make much more sense.
If you wish to visit Northern Ireland and be assured of a comfortable place to stay, you couldn't do much better.

My family and I stayed here for two nights - Boxing Day and the day after. We arrived around 6.30pm to find the heat on and the house lovely and warm and cosy. The cottage was so spacious with 2 en-suite bathrooms and a double room with a neighbouring main bathroom downstairs. Ann the owner called in the next morning to say hello and advised us on the heating system. The kitchen had everything you could want even a dishwasher. We found the location really convenient. All the main tourist attractions a short drive away. I would definitely recommend this for a short break on the fabulous north coast.

Stayed here as a group of 4 friends for a friday and Saturday night. Got a groupon deal for 99pounds. House is well laid out, small kitchen but comfortable. Not the cleanest, found old sausage rolls and veg on the floors and toilets not cleaned. Only one dishwasher tablet provided, no kitchen roll, one bin liner and not full rolls of toilet roll in each bathroom with no spares (ran out by end of stay). Got very uncomfortable at end of stay, was asked for 20 pounds for wifi and utilities to be left in cash on the table. We didn't use wifi (6pound per stay if you did) and text back saying this and asking how much utilities were. Response was that it was a copied message and utilities were still 20pound. Found this excessive and asked for a breakdown. Told 15lts of oil a day. Left the cash. Met fellow neighbours outside the property who were all also unhappy with the charge and were struggling to get hold of ann for a receipt. We left as the atmosphere was very uncomfortable at this stage. All in all, felt like the cheap price of the groupon left the owners trying to recoup costs elsewhere which was unfortunate. Probably wouldn't stay again because of this.

Handy to local attractions. Useful bbq area out back. Pleasant decor and very comfortable for short stay needs. Personable owner. Had fun with the outdoor chess set. WiFi costs extra but not expensive and vital when you have teenagers.

If you want a great holiday in fantastic accommodation look no further. Took my parents and two children and had a wonderful half term break. The cottages are finished with all you would need and great care is obviously taken to maintain them to a high standard. Ann is a great host and has thought of all you might need to make your stay easy and hassle free. As Arnie says "I'll be back"

These cottages are absolutely beautiful. We had a long drive and ferry to get there so we were al shattered but as we walked in the cottages they were so cosy and warm and welcoming. They were spotlessly clean and smelt beautiful as we walked in, we couldn’t fault a thing. They are the perfect location for everything along the coastal route to be within easy driving distance. So peaceful at night along with beautiful views. The cottages have everything you could possibly need and the owners Ann and her husband were the most helpful and friendliest people you could meet, they made the whole experience from booking right to the end so easy. We had a large family and so hired 3 to accommodate 12 of us, but you could have fitted another 4 people. So much parking comes with the cottages along with an overflow car park, so there was never a worry about parking. We had such a great week away and would definitely stay here again if we ever return to Ireland.
