We loved our stay at Dromore House.

We are so pleased we found this gem. We came as a family of four and stayed in the Bay Tree room for two nights. Plenty of space for us all and the children were happy to find a shelf of children's books.
Everything was lovely and fresh and clean. The bathroom was luxurious, plenty of towels, hot water and a gorgeous big bath.

Breakfast was so good. We all were catered for from yoghurt and berries, pancakes to an amazing ulster fry.
Beautiful homemade breads and jams meant we started the days well fed.

Angela was more than accommodating and while she always checked if there was anything else we needed we never had to say yes as she thought of everything!

Our children loved exploring the garden and swinging on the tree swings and playing their first game of croquet!

We feel that Dromore House provides wonderful accommodation options for a variety of needs: couples, families, short and longer stays.

We hope to return in the future!!

Note:we stayed at Dromore House during "covid times", we had our temperature checked on arrival, and sanitiser was provided at the front door to be used on entering. The breakfast times were staggered to allow for distancing. Angela wore a mask inside while prepping and serving food. Angela has managed to ensure her guests are safe but comfortable. We didn't feel at any point this took away from our experience.

My family & I had a wonderful one night stay. On arrival we were warmly welcomed by Angela who looked after us with a hot pot of local S.D. Bell & Co. loose leaf tea & homemade shortbread in the drawing room. Our bedroom was clean, spacious, light & airy. The room contained period furniture including an extra large bed with the adjoining large bathroom featuring an enamelled cast iron tub with overhead rainfall shower. The water was hot the towels were large & the toiletries of a high quality. After a quiet, comfortable & refreshing nights sleep we were treated to a delicious breakfast featuring homemade & locally sourced ingredients in authentic country house crockery. Angela's extensive experience in the food & hospitality sector really shone through along with the cheerful disposition of the housekeeper. Great location with easy access to the Causeway Coast, Royal Portrush Golf Club & the Giants Causeway. We had no concerns regarding Covid-19 during our stay with all of the guidelines being followed in as personable way as possible.

My husband and I stayed at Dromore House for two nights with our daughters (aged 6 & 9months) and it was perfect! We booked ‘The Old Scullery’ which had a kitchen area and private entrance which made it ideal for staying with kids. There was nothing more we could have wanted whilst staying here.....Angela met us on arrival with a very warm welcome and complimentary tea/coffee and fruit cake served in the Drawing Room. The gardens are fabulous with swings and a trampoline for the kids. The breakfast on each morning was first class with many items homemade. Pancakes, wheaten bread and muesli to name a few! Location is ideally located for touring around the north coast....Portrush/PortStewart/Giants Causeway/Bushmills etc! On our day of departure we had requested a picnic to take with us on our onward journey......it was also fabulous and lasted for two days lunch not just one!! We will certainly be back! Thank you again Angela.

We turned into a leafy driveway that led us to Dromore House and were greeted by the owner Angela who showed us to our room. Our room looked out to a lovely , peaceful garden. Wonderful fresh white sheets on the bed and soft white bath towels in the en suite bathroom not to mention freshly cut garden flowers, homemade shortbread and famed Irish tea on arrival. The breakfast did not disappoint. A gem of a find and somewhere to return to again.

Dromore House is a masterclass in how a country house bed and breakfast should be. Charming and knowledgeable, Angela has thought of everything to make the visit delightful and comfortable, anticipating everything: scones and tea the afternoon you arrive, shortbread for later in the room, fruit cake miraculously replacing the shortbread! Bedrooms and bathrooms are fabulous; delicious bedlinen, painted floorboards - like living inside a magazine but not intimidating. Because actually it feels more like what it has also been: a family home - belonging to the family you wish you'd grown up in! Full of books, photographs, pictures, china and glass and handsome furniture. Log fire on a cool evening. Beautiful garden with furniture in just the right spot, great view from the lawn. Breathtakingly good breakfast: fruit such as rhubarb from the garden or apple stewed with elderflower, yogurt and granola, home made jams, the best home made wheaten bread and that's before the outstanding poached eggs, black & white pudding etc, or a breakfast special of the day including spot on scrambled egg. Proper cup of coffee with frothy milk too. Honestly, this place is magical.

A hidden gem in North Antrim, this is our second time staying at this Amazing place. From the time you drive in through the gates you can feel yourself start to relax. Dromore house is spotlessly clean, with beautifully manicured gardens overlooking rolling countryside.
Angela who you'll meet on arrival is Amazing with a "nothing is too much trouble" outlook. Angela actually makes you feel that this is your house while you are here.
I have to also mention the breakfast, from homemade wheaten bread and potato farls, if you enjoy breakfast here if will certainly set you up for the rest of the day.

Dromore Country House is a country retreat where you feel unburdened the minute you arrive. We have stayed in three of the rooms and all of them are exceptionally clean and comfortable. The house has lots of beautiful objects to look at. It also has a warm welcoming feel which is often missing in similar establishments. Angela brings you loose leaf tea and homemade shortbread in the beautiful drawing room with a warm inviting fire. She even lights the fire in the breakfast room if it’s a cool morning. Breakfast is exquisite with some lovely choices and the best quality soft fruit and homemade granola. There’s often in season preserves or cordial. Her portions are very generous with no scrimping here! There are 3 acres of gardens to stroll through and windows throughout the house overlook them and the countryside beyond. Angela herself will do everything in her power to ensure you have an amazing stay. A stay at Dromore Historic Country House is an experience not to be missed!

A delightful, homely country house in a quiet but convenient location for exploring most of N Ireland. Angela is a really welcoming host who offers exceptional, delicious home-cooked breakfasts with produce from a bountiful kitchen garden. We loved the various compotes to go with fresh fruit yoghurts and granola. Imaginative breakfasts every day in a welcoming dining room which felt like home. Wonderful linen and towels with luxurious duvets etc.
Angela is so helpful, friendly and keen to make our first stay in Northern Ireland as perfect as possible. A lovely atmosphere and a fabulous place to stay. We were so lucky to find this gorgeous retreat.

We stayed 4 nights in the Old Scullery, a self contained and cosy apartment 'below stairs'. There was the most thoughtful attention to detail throughout: it was all designed to make guests feel as comfortable and welcome as possible. The breakfasts were just superb: everything you could want and more. As there was a daily special we were literally spoilt for choice. Angela was a kind and attentive host: nothing was too much trouble. She was full of useful information about the area; things to do and places to go,and where to eat. Angela genuinely cares about her guests and just wants them to have a wonderful time. We would recommend this b and b to anyone and would love to visit again.: it is excellent value, very comfortable, impeccably clean and well-run. It is also a good location from which to explore the spectacular coast.

From there moment we arrived at Dromore House we breathed a sigh of relaxation. The setting and house were stunning, from the beautiful bedroom with Egyptian cotton bedding to the gorgeous roll top bath.

Angela our host was most welcoming and her attention to detail was second to none. From the roses placed in the bathroom to the Sweetpeas by the bed.

Our breakfasts made by Angela using high quality produce by local suppliers was delicious and was complimented by home made Wheaton bread, homemade granola accompanied by delicious freshly made fruit compotes. Each day a special was offered eg. Eggs’s Benedict or Florentine, homemade pancakes, it was all divine.

We were close to a lot of restaurants and places to see, all recommended by a knowledgeable and friendly host.

We look forward to our next booking in August.
